Went to this Taco Mac last night. Place was very full and very noisy, but I should expect that from a sports bar type setting. Ordered one of the burgers and my partner had the mild buffalo wings. We had a nice server. Food was just typical bar food even though the burger had some great flavors. The onion rings, however, were really good and a good dipping sauce of garlic and seasoning helped make them better. All in all, good meal for a reasonable price. read more

So my guy and I go for a late lunch at around 2:00pm now there is only a few folks in there. Explain why we waited an hour for our food with consisted of a grilled chicken salad and a burger. So the food finally arrives and the salad is ok but that burger was burnt to a charcoal on one side and just threw together. The bacon on the burger wasn't even done and they didn't even bother to melt the cheese. So now why in the hell did a hour wait and the burger was burnt, cold and bacon undone? Great selection of beer at fair prices. Restaurant is always up the my standards for clean and its very rare that you have to wait to be seated from my personal experience. They changed the menu a year or two ago and i wish they would change it more often to circulate menu items in and out. Best wings in town! Best selection of draft beer in town! This location is my favorite Taco Mac location. The beers are a little on the pricey side but its worth it for the selection. If you want good craft beers come here. The beer selection rotates each month so there is always something new to try. Jaime is the best server in the world! read more

I come here a couple times a month with a group of friends from work and, maybe it's just not my kind of place, but I'm not a fan. On the positive side I can say that they have a couple of great burgers and chicken sandwiches...but so do a lot of places these days so that's not really a ringing endorsement. Outside of that, the food is rather poor, in my opinion. Their boneless wings are just about all breading and the nachos, which you would think would be awesome in a place like this, were average, at best. I get MUCH better nachos at a standard order-by-number Mexican place. Service is spotty...sometimes great, sometimes not so much. They seem to have a VERY high turnover with waitstaff so I would guess that has something to do with it. read more

First time to Taco Mac in years .... unfortunately it will probably be many more years before I return ...if ever to this location. 25 minutes after we ordered appetizers they came to the table. My wife's soup was cold as we're the Tories for the cheese dip. The next issue was my PBR beer was advertised at $2.50 and when I asked the waitress for one she quickly came back and asked if a can would be ok??? I said I don't care if it's a draft or a can as long as its $2.50 as advertised .... Of course when the bill came it was $2.79... Not a huge deal but when compounded with cold soup .... and 30 minute appetizer cook times ... It was not welcomed. When the wings came out with my wife's fish it appeared both had been sitting in the back for at least 5 to 10 minutes before someone decided to bring them out to us. Such an unfortunate experience at Taco Mac Duluth today. Christmas Eve and a big Falcons/Saints game on. Place was pretty packed. We had a big group. My story is this. I waited an hour for my order and it was wrong. (We had people in our party who ordered before me who waited longer than an hour!) I debated for a second taking the erroneous order and decided to offer they either let me have the entree but comp it or see if they can fix it. The waiter came back with the same plate of food and his manager. They offered for me to keep that dish and they would also bring me the food to make the order right. I asked the manager what the long wait was all about and pointed out there were others in our party who ordered before me who still did not have their food! The manager said they were slammed by the volume of people who came into the restaurant at once. I replied that we come there often and have been there for big games/ play-offs, etc. and had never had such a poor experience. I said that a big football game on a holiday weekend is why a lot of people come to Taco Mac. That they usually know how to handle large crowds and have planned in advance to do so. The manager replied by asking if I wanted to keep the meal and they'd bring me the right food. Basically, he didn't want to talk about the real problem. I felt it was dismissive and told him to take the food and remove it from my bill. I decided to just have nothing. There were other situations that happened at the same time, not the least of which was the waiter running $120 on my wife's card for a $15 bill (most of the other items my family had were comped by then). In my opinion the entire table should have been comped. The manager handled this ONLY when we escalated, not before. If volume had swamped the restaurant so badly why wasn't the manager assessing which tables/parties were impacted the most and beginning to take action? The reason of volume was clearly not the whole story and I am pretty sure it was very poor planning on managements part. Clearly, too, the manager has little experience in handling "crisis" situations. If hiding in the back is his only tool that's pretty sad and not at all the reflection I would think Taco Mac's corporate management would like for customers to have. read more

I don't know why anyone comes here expecting a gourmet meal. Obviously, you're not going to get that because this is a sports bar. With that being said, Taco Mac has been my family's go-to sports bar for a while now, and we love it. Being big baseball fans, we visit often in the spring/summer just in time for baseball season. I've personally never had a bad experience at any Taco Mac location, but especially not this one. The workers are all nice and friendly and do their best to accommodate with you. Their food is good. It's not top-notch 5 star worthy food, because like I mentioned before its a sports bar, not a five star restaurant. The chefs aren't going to spend their time coating your wings with sauce piece by piece or garnishing your burger delicately. This place has good food though. Good food, good beer, and good service. Their fried calamari is probably something I get every visit and it is so good along with their tacos and wings. Horrible Service!! I came to this Taco Mac with my in-laws and my family that was visiting from India about 3 weeks ago. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to a table. Since it had been raining outside we were all soaking wet and when we sat down we realized that we were directly under a vent. A couple of us walked over to the bar side of the restaurant to see if it was a little warmer when we basically got yelled at by the manager. 'We can't have people just walking around all over the restaurant. That is why we hire a hostess to seat you.' My husband proceeded to explain why we were considering moving seats but he didn't want to listen. I was truly mortified in front of our guests. There was no reason for him to yell at us. If we were causing a commotion that was one thing, but the restaurant was probably only about 25% full. I will NEVER go back there. If both the hostess and manager are rude beyond belief, I think that gives you a good indication of how this restaurant runs. Our waiter tried his hardest to make it a more pleasant experience for us as I am pretty sure he realized how upset we were but he can only do so much. Don't Go! No NO NO! read more

Was wanting some chicken nachos so between here and Moe's I decided to come here. I will say customer service was great I even ordered everything to be separated because I wasn't eating the nachos right away and didn't want the chips to be soggy. They were able to that for me so . The place could stand some freshening up, the decor is a bit dark unlike the east Roswell location. To Whom it May Corcern: A group of friends of mine visited the Taco Mac on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Duluth GA last night, June 25, 2011. As a regular patron of the Taco Mac in Duluth, I found it rather surprising and extremely disappointing to be given "service" as poorly as we were last night. I do understand that we visited on a busy Saturday night, and usually I overlook small discrepancies. But last night, nearly everything we ordered came out incorrect, and to add insult to injury, when we asked for the correct food and drinks, were given cold, uninterested service as if to correct the issues was an annoyance and a burden to the wait staff. In my experience, when things come out wrong from the kitchen, it is imperative that the issue not only be corrected IMMEDIATELY, but that the staff goes above and beyond to ensure our return, especially with the current economic climate. I find it hard to believe that a restaurant, even one as large and incorporated as Taco Mac, can so negligently ignore their customer's wishes the first time around, let alone fail to even attempt to correct mishaps. Restaurants need EVERY patron they can get, and they need them coming back. The problems we encountered last night started out as minor, and could easily have been resolved. But that is not at all what happened. The service experience was, for lack of a better word, dismal. I ordered a twenty piece wing plate, and requested that they all be flats as opposed to legs, that they be well done, with extra sauce. What I received could not have been further from what I ordered. The basket contained mostly legs, cooked just enough to be edible, and almost dry. I had the server re-attempt to get my order right, and when he returned with the re-order, it was still wrong, as the wings were still undercooked and soggy. However, I will point out that the manager did take half off the price of the wings. That in itself is a very good thing, but the manner in which he did, was unacceptable. More on that later. Later that evening, a friend of mine joined me, and waited 15 minutes before the server approached the table to offer him a drink. After he ordered, it took the server 20 minutes to bring his beer, and 45 minutes to receive his food. During the 45 minutes that we were waiting for our food to come out, our server did not re-fill our drinks once. In fact, we had to walk up to the bar to get re-fills, only to find a bartender-less bar! There was no one behind the bar for us to get our refills from. Utterly ridiculous; so, we were left to our empty glasses, no food and no sympathy. Forty-Five minutes later, my friend finally received his food! This seemed a bit odd, as there were not that many tables in the place for it to take that long to be served a simple sandwich. But he was just happy to finally have his food. It was at this moment that the manager on duty, Steve Sharpels approached us, tapped his closed fist on the table three times and said "took half off your wings," and walked away. He didn't bother to ask us if there was anything else he could do to rectify the problem or if we needed anything else. Just walked away! I thought the purpose of the manager was to see to the customer's complete satisfaction and not just some guy with a card that can hand out discounts. Had he taken a moment to discuss our experiences that evening, we would not be writing this letter. But we feel we were ignored completely, and that no one in the restaurant cared. As a person WANTING to spend money in your establishment, I WANT to know that you appreciate our business. Another member of our party in the mean time had ordered a Blue Moon. As a fan of Blue Moon myself, I am quite familiar with the way it should taste. The Blue Moon that she was served however had a very soapy taste, and multiple people at our table tasted it and agreed. When she asked the manager, Steve Sharpels, to replace her beer due to the soapy taste, he responded by assuring her that it was a fresh keg, and that it should be fine. And yet again, walked away. He didn't even offer to get her a new one! Now that didn't solve anything, did it?! We were not given the chance to say that we thought it was that the beverage lines had not been cleaned out thoroughly, hence the soapy taste. Obviously, it would not be the beer. How can anyone treat a customer with such a nonchalant attitude and possess the title of manager?? Our server, however offered to get her a new one. When we were finally ready to go, our waiter dropped our bill off. That itself took 20 minutes. To our surprise, I was charged for a side of blue cheese that I never received, the soapy Blue Moon was also on the bill. We waited an astronomical amount of time for everything, from drinks to food, to bill, and were met with cold, hasty service throughout. This Taco Mac sticks out in the rather mundane road with less exciting eateries such as the Ruby Tuesday across the street. I'm so sick and tired of heading out on the town and going to the bars and taverns, opening the front door and walking into a nursery. What is it with parents these days that they have to take their kids to the bars with them. Bars and taverns are for ADULTS, not kids. They're running around, bumping into people, yelling...Parents, please take your kids to the playground where they belong. This place has the worst service in the area without a doubt. We'll never go back. We've tried this place several times and have never gotten anything close to even adequate service. Most of the servers we've had have had an attitude that we are nothing but a bother to them. Like we are interrupting their day or something. Our last visit on Friday was the final straw. We arrived around 5:30/6:00 pm. The place was maybe 20% full. We ordered queso app. It arrived and had so few chips that we could see the bottom of the pan. We literally had to stick our hand out into the aisle to stop our server to ask for some more chips. A solid 10 minutes pass before our chips arrive. During which time 1. our queso had become cold and rock hard and 2. I drank all of my Coke. The server who ran the chips did a drop and run so no luck asking him for some more Coke. Another 7-8 minutes pass without a drink and no sight of our server that I finally had to get up and take my empty cup to the host stand to ask for another Coke. As I'm standing at the host stand waiting for my refill I notice my server standing at the side station talking to another server. At least she was having a good time. Because I wasn't. While I was away from the table our "food" arrived. My Original Burger was burnt to a crisp. It looked more like a hockey puck than a hamburger. And my french fries were ice cold to put it mildly. I don't like lettuce or tomato so I scraped that off and proceeded to choke down this "burger." Then lo and behold our sever appears and begins to berate me about not eating the lettuce and tomato. "If you didn't want that lettuce and tomato you should have told me." I don't know if she was trying to be funny or what but since I hadn't seen her in upwards of half an hour it wasn't very funny. My wife ordered a philly which she ate about 4 bites. Said it was stringy and chewy. Ice cold fries too. Now begins the wait for the check because I know our server won't be back awhile. I told my wife that eating a Taco Mac is what I imagine prison would be like: the people that serve you are rude, the food is cold and burn and almost inedible, and they won't let you leave until they're good and ready. read more

My friends and I love this place! Our service has always been good and very personable. We often find ourselves chatting with our server. Our wait for our food has never been too long, then again we usually just talk amongst ourselves so we don't pay much attention to time. The food is good and so is the atmosphere. The place has a happy and active buzz to it. It's one of our go to places for dinner and hang out time. They have a wide selection of beer.
