Food: Let's Talk-o bout delicious!! I always get the flour tacos with fajita beef. I am very impressed! The meat isn't dry, and the tacos are a good size. They are $2 each. The only concern I have with the tacos is that they give a tiny slice of avocado. Kind of wish they gave more, but still delicious. The chicken quesadilla is good too, but I will admit that it is a bit oily. Besides this, the food is solid! With the food, make sure to get the creamy green sauce - it's heaven. Also, I recommend getting the horchata as well. It's definitely not powdery, and it's very sweet. Service: The people that work here are very nice. I've never had problems here before. Sometimes there may be some trouble with a language barrier, but it's not much of a problem at all since the service is always on point. The food comes out pretty fast, even when it's busy. I recommend calling ahead during lunch or dinner if it gets too busy. They also aren't stingy when it comes to asking for more sauce either which is always awesome. Setting: The place does look a bit sketchy on the outside, but don't be hesitant to try it! It's pretty clean at the tables. The MELON, SANDIA, and LIMON juice are so good and refreshing. The melon has a light cantaloupe flavor, the sandia is watermelon, and the limon is lime juice. They're all great! I always order the PASTOR TACOS. It always comes out fresh and the meat has a nice crisp skin to it. The porky flavor really hits the palate because it's flavorful, but it's a bit dry. The FAJITA TACOS are not my favorite, but they're not bad. The meat is a bit chewy and dry, but they are nicely seasoned. The bf tried the HAMBURGUESAS MEXICANAS. The patty was moist and tender. These tacos are delicious. My wife and I probably eat at this place at least 2 times per week. The al pastor and Barbacoa are the favorites. Normal sized tacos are 2 dollars and smaller tacos are 1.25 each. I could probably eat 8 normal tacos myself so sometimes I'll order the torta to fill myself up. read more

This is hands-down one of my favorite places to go for a street taco! I usually go for the fajita with the flour tortilla with everything in it (avocado,onions,cheese,& cilantro). The tacos did go for $1.50 a piece, but they raised it by 25 cents. But to me it is still worth getting. The addition of the lime on top of the already flavorful fajita just adds a very distinct taste that makes me come back for more. Upon opening the foil, I immediately observed that tortillas were homemade. I also noticed the oozing white cheese. I also noticed the overflowing fillings of my tacos. So far everything looks great. As I bite into the tacos, I am greeted with complimenting flavors. The egg, cheese, chorizo, and tortillas are a foody symphony. The barbacoa - awesome. Amazing authentic Mexican tacos that remind me of street tacos from Tijuana! This place brings me back to my college days in Los Angeles when we would drive 2 hour into Mexico to get some tasty street taco from the whole in the wall places! Thanks to the reviews from other Yelpers I had to give this place a try. I went with the Fajita taco in a double wrapped corn tortilla with everything in it: cilantro, onions, cheese and a sliver of avocado. Let me tell you... Absolutely wonderful!!! I had the Pastor taco with everything on it too and it was equally delicious! Not sure which I liked more? I was even brave enough to try the hot sauce sitting on the table and it gave just the right amount of extra spice and didn't suffer any repercussions later! My taste buds were tingling with delight. As I sat there in this whole in the wall place enjoying the most authentic Mexican tacos I have eaten in Houston, you almost feel like you are somewhere in Mexico. I have been eating tacos from Tacos Los Gemelos for the past 6 years. I usually go to the location on Veterans Memorial, but I decided to come to this one since it was closer to me at the time. It is your typical taco stand with seats outside to eat. It is covered seating which is great since it will keep the sun and heat out. I ordered a torta with fajita. The fajita was "okay" not as great as I remember it. My boyfriend ordered a fajita quesadilla and they messed up his order. They gave him a chicken quesadilla instead. Luckily we ate there and they quickly fixed the order. Make sure to check your order before you leave if you plan to eat this food at home. We also ordered an horchata. The horchata was very large and pretty good. Not too sweet, just the perfect amount of sugar. Also, I used to love their red and green salsas, but I was pretty disappointed. The salsas are bland and watery. Granted, I live in Chicago now and have not eaten here for a few years. Still, why all the changes?! Next time I am in Houston I will go to the original location on Veterans Memorial. read more
