Adorable wall art!

If anyone asks me for great taco options in Red Deer, Taco Loft is 100% on the top of my list. They are located on Ross Street in Downtown Red Deer, with angle street parking nearby (free after 5pm and on weekends; otherwise, does require coin payments). In the summers, they have a patio to enjoy your drinks and meal, but their interior is also welcoming, with colorful walls and a Día de Muertos-like theme. The servers are always super sweet, friendly, and attentive. Their order of tacos comes with two, which doesn't seem like a lot but they are actually quite filling. You can mix-and-match the flavours, and they are served on soft corn tortillas, making it possible to order gluten-free options. My go-to taco toppings are their Smoked Brisket (the Saskatoon chocolate mole is quite remarkable), Al Pastor (a great classic), Pollo Verde (nice and juicy pieces of chicken with the salsa verde adding a nice kick), and/or the Tequila Lima Fish (perfect for those that love fish tacos). In the past, we have also ordered their Nachos ( 1/2 order) as an appetizer, but the portion was actually much more generous than I imagined and it ended up filling us up (two adults) before we even got our tacos! I also have to give a shoutout to their margaritas. First of all, wonderful presentation with the adorable tiki cups. But the flavours are so bomb, it's hard to stop at one; I especially love their hibiscus flavour. If you haven't tried Taco Loft yet, you're missing out!

Service was laid back bordering on slow. Food was ok, sadly not great. Loved the ambiance but overall considering everything, just ok.

They do not have a designated parking space, but it's usually not too hard to find some angle street parking nearby. They are a smaller establishment, so reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment; that being said, we were very lucky on our recent visit on a busy Saturday night as we were able to get seated at the bar right away without a reservation. The ambience is unique, with red lights that dimly light the space and small bar lamps at the tables. The bar we were seated at had a wavy counter which was aesthetically pleasing, but a little impractical as there were a few times I nearly dropped my cutlery/plate/cup due to uneven spacing. They offer clean, spacious gender-neutral bathrooms, which is always great to see in Red Deer.  As for their food, we ordered their Seoul Searching flatbread and Bœuf Bourguignon. We weren't particularly blown away by either dish; tasty for sure, but also nothing memorable. I personally found the Bœuf Bourguignon had very little meat, but the house-made bread was a nice and fluffy accompaniment that soaked up the flavours of the stew really well. The Seoul Searching flatbread comes with chicken, kimchi, mozzarella and gochujang sauce and was on the spicier side compared to what I expected. I did wish there was more hints of sweetness with this flatbread, which would have made it more representative of the flavours typically associated with Korean cuisine, but that's just my personal preference!

However, everything we had was really good. Great cocktail and wine list. We had the lemon devilled eggs and two flatbreads. Really, besides a salad and another flatbread that was pretty much it to choose from. The flatbread base was awesome. Fro sure we enjoyed the mushroom flatbread much more compared in flavour than the potato and procuitto. Really nice vibe in there and great friendly service. We will be back for dinner where there are more choices available.

Came here for wing Wednesday. Was 70% full at 6:30PM on a Wednesday. You get ~10 wings per order…read more We got 5 flavors. Worked out to be approx. $40. We got pop as our drink and I'm glad we asked but it is NOT non-stop (no free refills). Waitress was nice but very busy. Flavors and their ratings: Honey Garlic: 10/10 my personal favorite. Very well sauced. Dill pickle: 8/10 Flavoring was just a light dusting and did not stick really well to the wings. Nice flavor just wish there was more of it. Lemon pepper: 9/10 Flavoring stuck better to these wings. This was Friend 1s favorite as it had a nice zing to it. Bangin Bacon: 10/10 Friend 2s favorite, i also really enjoyed this one. Nice and creamy and flavor. Not a strong flavor. Moroccan: 3/10 everyone least favorite. Very bland. Tastes like paprika only. Overall the wings had a good amount of meat on them, were hot and fresh and I would come back!

Despite bustling with business on…read moreWednesdays, the turnaround is quite quick, so you can be seated pretty quickly. Our past two visits around 5:30pm required no waiting; the longest we've ever had to wait was 30 minutes.  Parking can be quite tough though, as Bo's is located in a small strip mall with a limited-space parking lot that is shared with the other businesses. You can usually find more parking behind the building near the Corner Pocket.  Admittedly, aside from their wings, I haven't had the chance to try any of their regular menu items so can't comment on those. But we've visited a handful of times on wing Wednesdays and are always pleased with the fast-paced service and flavours of their wings. My favourite picks are the Bangin' Bacon, Dill Pickle, Thai Chili, and of course, the classic Honey Garlic. I have found that on some busy nights, they've skimped out on the flavourings that we've had to scrape them from the bottom of the basket, but I'm sure the servers would be happy to bring you extra flavourings if you ask. Our most recent visit was a nice surprise as they were still decked out with their seasonal decorations; so fun! They also host a lot of local shows/concerts, so make sure to check out their website to stay updated!

We really quite like the covered patio, as it's basically like sitting inside but so nicely decorated. Parking is around and about in this area if you don't find something right out front, but not too bad of a walk. Our friend always orders the #28 dragon bowl and every time only has good things to say about it. It does have amazing color and looks delightful. This time we tried the Chefs corner items which we were all very happy about. The French Dip was a huge portion, very filling. And nice sides choices like salad, fries, or even poutine. The bread was crispy and tender! We also go the chefs corner Crispy Chicken Ramen. Beautiful! The chicken had a little spice on it but if you aren't into spice they could omit that. Broth was nice and not too spicy even for the little kids. Speaking of kids, nice big bathrooms and a change table! Plus high chairs available too. The server was super great when our son wanted to order a burger and fries even though it 'isn't on their menu' still put a kids one together and even cut it and plated it for my two boys. It was quite big so glad they shared it!
