Chicken enchilada, forgot to snap a photo before stuffing my face.

I had the chicken enchiladas. They were so good I almost died. I had the pleasure of being served by Jose himself. He asks how spicy we want our food on a scale of 1-10. I say 7. He says no. Jose knows. The food has more spice than what I normally expect, but I like to almost hallucinate, so I happen to have used my whole little side cup of house-made spicy salsa Jose put on the side just in case I could handle more heat. He says the food he brought was only 3 drops of hot sauce, which is not even 1/10. But because I used some of my date's hot sauce, Jose reluctantly agreed to let me order 4/10 next time I come in. I've barely even gotten started here people. The chicken. It was so moist I could tell that single ingredient was prepared so carefully. Usually Mexican flavour is so good who cares that the meat is dry, cover that s**t up with salsa/guac/queso fresco (which this meal came with a nice portion of each). But this chicken was so good I had to dig some of the generous chunks out to enjoy on their own. Now on to the mole. So flavourful. There was enough of it. It was a beautiful consistency, no greasy layer that sometimes happens. The baked cheese on top was nice, but I wouldn't have missed it if it wasn't there. This is not a dish that needs to rely on a layer of yummy cheese to shine. Baked black beans and rice. Gosh darn was the rice so flavourful and delicious on its own. I had a margarita too. Authentic. No slush or ice. I cannot wait to go back, except I'm going to be full for the next 24 hours. My date agrees: 5/5

Service was excellent. Decor was awesome. Food was really good, I ate every bean on my plate.

Burrito supper. Item Number 1 on the menu.

I like this place. It is affordable, you get to choose how hot your meal is going to be on a scale of 1 to 10 and they have plenty of Corona in the fridge to go with it. Awesome place. I will be coming back!

    Only open till 9pm!!!

Jose Jose is a hidden gem on Red Deer's north side! I've had lunch there before (empanadas) and tonight I had the Burrito Super!! Portions are huge so make sure you're hungry, and when the waitress tells you a 3/10 is spicy - BELIEVE HER!!

Breakfast item #4: 2 Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Brown Toast, Plantain and Refried Beans (which were amazing! and I hate beans)

We went for breakfast but I wish we could've had dinner. The breakfast menu was small but the retried beans and plantain were amazing! It was completely empty for brunch so the service was really good. The decor is interesting. The restaurant definitely has charm and has an amazingly diverse dinner menu. I'd give it a try for breakfast if you've never liked plantain or beans but I hope the expand their breakfast menu because a good breakfast burrito or huevos ranchero would fit perfectly with my breakfast expectation.

We really quite like the covered patio, as it's basically like sitting inside but so nicely decorated. Parking is around and about in this area if you don't find something right out front, but not too bad of a walk. Our friend always orders the #28 dragon bowl and every time only has good things to say about it. It does have amazing color and looks delightful. This time we tried the Chefs corner items which we were all very happy about. The French Dip was a huge portion, very filling. And nice sides choices like salad, fries, or even poutine. The bread was crispy and tender! We also go the chefs corner Crispy Chicken Ramen. Beautiful! The chicken had a little spice on it but if you aren't into spice they could omit that. Broth was nice and not too spicy even for the little kids. Speaking of kids, nice big bathrooms and a change table! Plus high chairs available too. The server was super great when our son wanted to order a burger and fries even though it 'isn't on their menu' still put a kids one together and even cut it and plated it for my two boys. It was quite big so glad they shared it!

Food was excellent, had the Crispy Yam and Avocado roll as a starter and Baja Fish Tacos - both were a 10/10! The Long Island Social was excellent as well!

Easy to pop into from the highway 2 and since it's part of a strip mall area there was plenty of parking nearby. We were seated right away, the space is quite large and bright. Very sunny vibes. The single person bathrooms are nice but there are only 3 of them I think. I right away was eager to try their fancy coffee - in particular the caramel tiramisu latte (topped with caramel drizzle, whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkle ($5.99) but this drink was a bit of a let down in my opinion. Over the top sweet and since it's served in a glass cup it doesn't retain its heat, gets cold fast, and is actually kind of small. I get that it's a latte but the sheer sweetness makes me wonder is there any coffee in it? Okay I've given you the worst part the food was not disappointing! We ordered the Hot honey chicken Benedict ($19.99) and this was divine! The spicy and sweet combo was excellent and I loved that it got on the Hashbrowns too! Good serving size and eggs were perfect. We also had to order some pancakes and asked for the most popular, which was the signature stacks Cinnabon cakes ($15.99). These were huge and terribly delightful! Fluffy and the sauce combination of cream cheese icing and whip and icing sugar- wowzers! Very good and a reason it's a popular choice. We also got a kids pancakes ($8.49) and added a side of sausage ($2.49). Overall a nice spot for a spot of breakfast.

She never brought a kids' menu, disappeared for long stretches, and ignored our repeated requests for water--it finally showed up right before we left. Even when we asked other servers, we were met with, "I'm busy, you'll have to wait," rather than any willingness to help. When we politely asked Kya about her attitude, her only reply was, "Do you want the manager?" The rudeness and lack of care from beginning to end ruined what should have been a pleasant, celebratory morning. We won't be back.
