We really quite like the covered patio, as it's basically like sitting inside but so nicely decorated. Parking is around and about in this area if you don't find something right out front, but not too bad of a walk. Our friend always orders the #28 dragon bowl and every time only has good things to say about it. It does have amazing color and looks delightful. This time we tried the Chefs corner items which we were all very happy about. The French Dip was a huge portion, very filling. And nice sides choices like salad, fries, or even poutine. The bread was crispy and tender! We also go the chefs corner Crispy Chicken Ramen. Beautiful! The chicken had a little spice on it but if you aren't into spice they could omit that. Broth was nice and not too spicy even for the little kids. Speaking of kids, nice big bathrooms and a change table! Plus high chairs available too. The server was super great when our son wanted to order a burger and fries even though it 'isn't on their menu' still put a kids one together and even cut it and plated it for my two boys. It was quite big so glad they shared it!

Food was excellent, had the Crispy Yam and Avocado roll as a starter and Baja Fish Tacos - both were a 10/10! The Long Island Social was excellent as well!

Food was very mediocre, my eggs Benedict were way overcooked, fries were soggy. Kids liked their sandwishes so maybe it was just my dish. I would give them another chance if I am in that area again.

This part of town gets a bad reputation, but the locals who have been going here for years don't…read moreseem to care. Albert's it's a small chain based out of Edmonton, and this is their Red Deer spot. It's in an older strip mall with a bunch of other local-ish businesses - a pub (Murph's, which is connected to Albert's), a hair salon, liquor store, used book store, bowling alley, and Co-op, to name a few. It's an older restaurant that could use some renovations, and it's a bit dark and dingy, although it's just a part of the place's character. The staff that works here are like fixtures. I think I've seen or been waited on by the same server every time I've been in here. They know all of the regular customers by name (and a few by what they order), and they all have their own little quirks. You're probably going to be called honey, sweety, or darling at least once during your meal, so you should be okay with these little informalities, sugar. I like a place that makes a point of keeping your coffee filled up, and this one does it well. You're unlikely to run dry on coffee until you tell them you don't need any more - and if you do run out, you'll get a refill as soon as you see the next waitress walk by. The food here isn't anything exceptional, but it's your typical breakfast/diner food, so it's comfortable and familiar. I recommend grabbing the potato pancakes as a side if you're getting breakfast food- they're as close as you're going to get to homemade latkes, without the wait for the festive season. The food is also usually really quick to come out, and if there are any problems with your meal, they'll make it right as soon as they can. I had some eggs in an omelette come out a bit softer than I'd like, and I had fresh ones in front of me in less than 5 minutes, and the waitress knocked a few bucks off of the bill without my asking. Even if she hadn't, the prices here are low enough that you don't mind an imperfect meal. Overall, this place is becoming a go-to because of the staff and the service. I make sure to tip well every time, because these are the type of people that make you smile and start your day off right. 3 stars for the food, but 2 more stars because I leave there every time talking about how great the staff is.

We stopped in on a Sunday for brunch/lunch over the holiday season between Christmas and New Years…read moreand I was happy that they were open! Easy to pop into from the highway 2 and since it's part of a strip mall area there was plenty of parking nearby. We were seated right away, the space is quite large and bright. Very sunny vibes. The single person bathrooms are nice but there are only 3 of them I think. I right away was eager to try their fancy coffee - in particular the caramel tiramisu latte (topped with caramel drizzle, whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkle ($5.99) but this drink was a bit of a let down in my opinion. Over the top sweet and since it's served in a glass cup it doesn't retain its heat, gets cold fast, and is actually kind of small. I get that it's a latte but the sheer sweetness makes me wonder is there any coffee in it? Okay I've given you the worst part the food was not disappointing! We ordered the Hot honey chicken Benedict ($19.99) and this was divine! The spicy and sweet combo was excellent and I loved that it got on the Hashbrowns too! Good serving size and eggs were perfect. We also had to order some pancakes and asked for the most popular, which was the signature stacks Cinnabon cakes ($15.99). These were huge and terribly delightful! Fluffy and the sauce combination of cream cheese icing and whip and icing sugar- wowzers! Very good and a reason it's a popular choice. We also got a kids pancakes ($8.49) and added a side of sausage ($2.49). Overall a nice spot for a spot of breakfast.

She never brought a kids' menu, disappeared for long stretches, and ignored our repeated requests for water--it finally showed up right before we left. Even when we asked other servers, we were met with, "I'm busy, you'll have to wait," rather than any willingness to help. When we politely asked Kya about her attitude, her only reply was, "Do you want the manager?" The rudeness and lack of care from beginning to end ruined what should have been a pleasant, celebratory morning. We won't be back.

The feel of this establishment is home in Latin America. Plants and grapes all around. Nice murals on the wall with lots of art. Service was fantastic, Juan (Joe) was our waiter, he is also the owner. He explained the menu, asked what we liked, and had recommendations for us. The menu is very simple. Nothing fancy on the menu I had the pork steak with beans and rice, very delicious. My wife ordered the burrito rice and beans on the side. I also got some homemade salsa on the side that was habanero it was very hot in a good way! While eating it seemed like we were eating in his home. Service was fantastic. I recommend this hidden gem for great food and service. Very clean environment. The chips and mango salsa was amazing.

Also big fan of the side on the dish in little cups as it lets me apply as I want. Overall very satisfying.
