I love it here, I'm not sure why the ratings are not higher! It's one of my go-to's in Red Deer. My fiance and I always get the French onion soup and the beef Wellington to start, it is always soo delicious. Have had their duck, their salmon, their fresh summer berry salad and everything is great. Can't complain. They have great staff, great atmosphere, great cocktails and their crème brûlée was amazing and we recently had their sticky toffee cake with vanilla ice cream and ugh it was heavenly! Usually the service and food is great. However; recently changeover of chefs have resulted in inconsistent quality of meals. I ordered steak medium rare and it came well done, and Luke warm. The meal was not asthetically appealing as it appears the sauce was poured over my steak in a hurry and uncaring fashion! This was at 2 pm when not busy ... during happy hour time. Very dissatisfied. The renovation with lighting is terrible in dining room .... bright with customers looking at light bulbs glaring down on us. This was going to be my new meetingnplace with friends and family .... niw not so sure!!! read more

We dined at One Eleven Grill on our last evening in Red Deer on a Saturday night and it was a wonderful experience! We did make an online reservation a few hours before and glad that we did. The restaurant was busy with a larger wedding party and other regular customers. We were seated in a booth and our server Sierra, stopped by to welcome us within a few minutes of us being seated. She was very pleasant throughout the evening and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu and portion sizes. We ordered a Hawktail Cervesa draft and a Passionate Pear Punch for our beverages. They were both brought out within 10 minutes and both were delicious! My hubby ordered the full rack of ribs and I ordered the Mini Beef Wellington and the risotto of the day which was Onion. This is why I went down 1 star is because our food took a long time to come out. It was over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. But when our food did arrive, it was beautifully served and everything tasted amazing! My "mini" beef wellingtons were a big portion! It was 2 - 2.5 ounce servings. The pastry crust was so light and fluffy, the meat was cooked perfectly and the garlic aioli and au jus that came with it were delicious! My onion risotto was creamy and it tasted like french onion soup, but taken to the next level! Everything was served hot and was so decadent! My husbands ribs came with coleslaw, baked beans, veggies and fries. The coleslaw was good, it could have used just a bit more acid to the flavor. The baked beans.....omg....absolutely amazing! So tasty and a great flavor! He really enjoyed his ribs and they had a lot of sauce on them as well. We both really enjoyed our meals at One Eleven and just wish the food had come out a little sooner. We did notice that the lights above the tables almost made us feel like we were being interrogated. LOL! They were pretty bright and if they were tilted like 5 degrees or something, or a dimmer bulb, that would have been a bit better. The music was a bit loud for dinner service and made it feel more like a casual pub/dining experience, but the ambiance and decor is more on the elegant, romantic side. Even if the music was turned down just a tad, it would have been a better. Overall, we would definitely dine at One Eleven again. We really enjoyed our drinks, food and our server was friendly and pleasant. read more

I took my mother and her sister to dinner at this restaurant for my mother's birthday. We called for a reservation but they were none available between 4-8pm. Although we were able to book in the lounge, so we did. When we got there at 6pm, we saw that they also had tables on the patio and we were able to sit there. They had live music in the lounge and my mother thought it was too loud inside and it was a very nice evening so we took the patio. We skipped the appies and went straight to the main course. I had the braise beef rib my aunt had a steak and my mother had the mini beef Wellington. The beef Wellington was actually an appetizers but was large enough for a meal for my mom. All the food was prepared very well and tasty. For desert we split a sticky toffee pudding which got my fingers sticky so no pic. It was large enough for 3 to share. We will certainly go back when we have another special occasion. read more

We were in Red Deer meeting family and placed a take out order as protocols were in effect and dining in was not an option. Was leaning to the charcuterie, but was hungry, so I opted for a lunch dish. Ordered a sautéed chicken rice bowl (gluten free/friendly ) and a regular black blue burger with fries for the other half. We waited in the car while they made our food - 20 minutes we were quoted. I didn't set a timer, but it felt about 20-30 minutes. It was a beautiful sunny day to be outside and we planned to go to the park with our food & the pup. They brought the food to the car with the payment machine. Got to the park and opened up my box, was surprised as I didn't think I'd ordered fries, but that's what it looked like? We had ordered fries for the burger so, maybe? But with a rice bowl? Adding to the confusion, it looked more like poutine than a rice bowl... "poke style" was the description on the menu. Wasn't quite what I have had for poke before, I was confused but I had asked to omit the celery and peppers on the menu as they don't agree with me... so OK, I'll check out someone else's interpretation. Ok, first taste just because it *couldn't* be fries... and it wasn't. I understand business isn't great right now, but I'd thought if it was a chicken rice bowl it would be... chicken. I haven't seen remanufactured/reprocessed chicken in any restaurant food in... forever. I thought that was a grade of "food" relegated to fast food and quick serve places. Needless to say, I was disappointed. The mushrooms were pretty good, so I finished those off, I won't order that dish again, and can't recommend it. Burger... I didn't taste it (celiac), but other half said it wasn't high on his list. The menu looks great, and maybe when safety protocols are lifted and we can dine in, will visit and update. read more

First time in Red Deer and came for work. It clients highly recommended it, and they weren't wrong. The apps were good, and everyone loved their entrees. Our server, Phoebe, was probably the sweetest human on earth and handled our party of 6 nicely. Two of us came back the next night and coincidentally were seated with her again, which was awesome. This place would be great for a higher end, semi casual date night, for sure, but it's also great for a good business dinner. If I'm able to go back to Red Deer, I'm definitely returning. Unbelievable food. So much flavour that my taste buds didn't know what to do. One thing that they can have on hand is the nutrition guide. My wife being a type 1 diabetic needs to know the carb count. Not all establishments have this. But it would a huge asset. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Offers both sit down restaurant and at the bar service. Allergy friendly. Not the best place to bring small children, but 12+ aged kids would do fine. The food is exceptional. Have been 3 times in the last few months and it has been amazing.

I am happy to say this is one of the most fantastic restaurants in all of Central Alberta. To start of I made a reservation for Saturday night and also booked a ride with their driver Kent. The ride arrived 15 minutes before our reservation to pick us up, super kind and well mannered man. When we arrived we were kindly greeted for our reservation and they had set up and nice beautiful corner booth upstairs. Perfect place to sit, the live jazz was perfect just the perfect volume to also carry on a conversation and genuinely amazing. Our waitress was just amazing and incredibly attentive. We ordered: - Sirloin Oscar (rare) with a Ceasar salad + mushrooms. - Alberta beef tenderloin (rare) with a Ceasar salad + mushrooms. Both cooked to absolute perfection best steak my boyfriend and I have had in our entire lives, just melts in your mouth. Honestly don't think anyone will be able to top the amazing way these chefs handle and cook their meat. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and amazing amounts of food for such a great price. For drinks we had Old Fashions all night and I must say they are one of the best ones I have had in a while. The complimentary caramel birthday cake was delightful and honestly every part of it tasted so freshly baked and amazing. After all this the driver waited patiently after we finished our meal and took us home safely and for an amazing price as well. The atmosphere in this restaurant is something of dreams. My fiancées taco salad came with black beans which was not mentioned on the menu and she found it to be spivey. The glass railings upstairs don't look like they have been cleaned since opening...gross splatters all over. Live jazz was awesome. Ambience was good. Hard to mess up a burger they claim to be a "real burger" because of this, I left disappointed. Other menu items of note: chicken Oscar is delightful but small portions. You expect small portions from upscale but one eleven finds itself in a confusing pub/upscale limbo Have had both good and bad experiences here. We got a little turned around when it came to actually finding One Eleven, but we are VERY pleased we did. The decor is modern and sophisticated, yet comfortable. Our waitress, Katie, was very pleasant and helpful when it came to helping us select our food. The DH ordered the Blueberry Bbq beef rubs and I ordered the raspberry Chicken. We enjoyed our drinks and the food arrived with 10 minutes of ordering. The beef ribs came with two large ribs, potatoes, and roasted green beans and sweet peppers. The Raspberry Chicken dish came with a chicken breast covered with cream cheese and raspberry coulis, mashed potatoes and green beans and peppers. The ribs dish was very flavorful, with the blueberry BBQ sauce. But unfortunately, it only had two ribs and one of them was all fat, with no meat. The Raspberry chicken dish was very good! The chicken was juicy and tender and I really enjoyed the cream cheese and raspberry coulis on top. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade and were delicious! I also liked that the green beans and peppers were still a little crisp, as opposed to being mush. Our waitress, Katie, asked how the meal was and we mentioned that the rib dish contained two ribs but one had no meat on it. She promptly went back to the kitchen and brought us back a plate with another VERY meaty rib on it, apologizing for the first dish. A few minutes later, the manager, Robin, came over to the table to make sure we were happy with our meal, which we really appreciated. Now THAT is good customer relations! We ordered dessert, chocolate mint cake, which was not great. It was a frozen ice cream and chocolate cake dessert, which tasted "old" and quite dry. But we really enjoyed our entrees, and enjoyed the interesting ingredients used, instead of finding yet another restaurant with the same old dishes on the menu. Nice job, One Eleven!!! read more

We are new to the area and made a reservation for our anniversary after being recommended. We were taken to our table and it was not cleaned so needed to wait for them to clean and set it before we could be seated. Order app charcuterie board and drinks, and they came out and we were finished eating before the waitress came back to take our main course. Waited 1 hour and 42 minutes before our main meal arrived! When meals arrived they were both incorrect, the waitress took them back to kitchen to redo the order and when they arrived the 2nd time both were still wrong and the steaks were both over cooked. There's a cool, independent steakhouse in Red Deer? No kidding! Red Deer is the halfway point for me and my mom, we like to meet here for dinner every now and again. A friend from Calgary suggested we try out One Eleven, so there we were! It's located in the Old Brew Plaza just off Taylor and 40th St. Drive around back to find the door. The menu is a good variety of steak, chicken, fish/seafood, pasta, salads and the likes. It's got a decent cocktail menu and wine list as well. I ordered the blackened chicken fire grilled with cajun spices and garlic butter and served with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was nice and juicy and full of flavour. Delish! If you're looking for a reliable alternative to your run-of-the-mill chain steakhouses, One Eleven is worth a try. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to go out for dinner in Red Deer.... after a debate back and forth about "there are no high class dining places in Red Deer"..... I bow my head down and take back my words. One Eleven really impressed me. It's a hidden location in what looks like a run-down building near The Vat... but as soon as you walk through the doors it's like you've been transported into whole other place. It's a multilayer set-up. They have a nice bar as soon as you walk in. Apparently they have live music a couple days a week as well. The upper level has big comfy booths. We made reservations when we went both times..... but to be honest, I really don't think they are required. Maybe for their weekend brunches you need them? The food is delicious. Move-over "Keg" .... One Eleven takes the cake for the better food. The first time we went, we had steak and a lot of appetizers amongst our group. There wasn't a single item that were not over-the-top impressed with. The second time, I had their beef ribs (with a blueberry bbq rib sauce).... and those were delicious. Note: They are very very good about making sure that their food is the freshest quality so when we were there the first time, they did run out of a couple items for the day and were not expecting another delivery til the morning. So if you have your heart completely set on something... then it might be best to go for an earlier supper. Afterwards head over to The Vat for a raging night! Last time we ordered the One Eleven Burger and Blue Cheese Steak. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned.
