I'm surprised this place doesn't have any reviews yet. I'll have a go. First you walk in and you see Taco King is run by...Asians? I don't get it, but it seems to work so I'll go with it. I mean, I can make a good pot of sauce but I'm not Italian, so why not? Anyway, the moral of the story really is this. Good sized menu, typical options, cheap, edible. That's Taco King. Is it the best taco I've ever had? No. Is it the best taco I've ever had for the price (especially on 89 cent Taco Tuesday)? Yes. I had two tacos and a healthy order of chips and salsa for under $5. Good food. Love the quesadillas...guacamole was ehhhh, nothing special. Steak dishes are always hit or miss. I always feel like when dining in, they do a better job with my food rather than take out. The only downside to this place is that the prices keep getting higher and higher. read more

My favorite place to eat! The food is always delicious and it's always fresh!! If I'm in West Hempstead I'm taking food home to go! After moving away it's been hard to get my Taco King, but everything on the menu is delicious and if you like spicy food don't forget to ask for their secret Fire sauce- it's oh so good!!! read more

Chinese-Mexican! They do not offer any chinese food but it is run by Chinese. The place is pretty dingy- typical Chinese food take out style, but a bit larger with about 10 tables/booths. Food is decent. They have super cheap prices. I get the veggy items - pretty basic. Cant complain. They deliver and I believe they have taco Tuesdays. read more

It's okay and a quick option for when you're really hungry. The inside of the place always looks a little dirty and disheveled which makes me question why I'm there--again for the really hungry. Asked mom what she wanted to eat on Mother's Day. She wanted something simple...a burrito! She loved the 1lb steak burrito. You definitely get your money's worth. I have dietary restrictions so all I ask for is shrimp, rice and vegetables. I order from here often, always the same thing. If your looking for consistent, tasty, neighborhood non- traditional Texmex/Mexican eat in or delivery restaurant this is definitely worth your time and money. I stand by my 5 star rating all the way. I always order the soft chicken fajita taco which is always prepared with care and never short on juicy flavorful chopped chicken and perfectly cut fried onions and peppers. My next fav is the Hard chili taco which is like a home made taco supreme from Taco Bell except better. It doesn't taste like normal taco flavored chop meat, it's made with a mild slightly sweet chili that is prepared so neatly by putting the chili and cheese on top of the taco and the lettuce/tomato/sour cream on the bottom. So cool because the taco shell stays hard and doesn't fall apart. I can't wait to try some of their other stuff. read more

I can't believe the food this place dishes out. Their seasoning is so amazing. The Steak and Chicken Quesadilla is so good ! The double shell taco is really good. My favorite is the Chicken Fajita Taco though. The flavor is spot on ! Love the sauces and the jalapenos on the side ! I have been to this quick casual restaurant probably 100+ times at this point. The food is fresh and delicious. It is a hole in the wall restaurant that is great. I love the grilled chicken burritos and the chicken quesadilla. Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays, you can get their ground beef (aka chili) tacos, soft or hard shelled for 89 cents. Of all of the times I have been to this restaurant, they have never gotten my order wrong and my orders tend to be specific with certain ingredients not included. They always confirm your order by reading it back which always gives me peace knowing they input it correctly.The unlimited salsa is also a great aspect. The chicken and steak are moist. The first time I went to the restaurant I thought I was accidentally given egg rolls, but upon further inspection I found that they just put their chips into Chinese egg roll bags. While this may take away from the authenticity of the Mexican packaging, I assure you it does not add an egg rolly flavor to the tortilla chips. The staff is friendly and always happy. I just wish they had a rewards card because I go there so much. read more

Went here with some friends for taco tuesday and had a really great lunch! The seating was like any fast food restaurant so don't expect something high class like Gaonnuri or something but the place was clean. I highly recommend going here for lunch on a tuesday since their tacos are only $0.89 each! Unless you get the steak taco, I'm pretty sure those are regular price. But you can really fill yourself up on inexpensive tacos that taste really good! The other things they have are quesadilla's, nachos, burritos, rice bowls and other great stuff. Great for a quick lunch (they literally deliver to you in 15 mins fromw heny ou place your order no matter what time it is) If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine I would say skip this place but, if you are looking for a higher end Taco Bell then you should come here!! This place is so amazing. Why can't it be cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for. Okay so this place is like really really good when your ready for some real tacos. I come here when I want to treat myself. Their tacos you cannot let it sit for too long because their taco shell will get soft fast. That's how authentic this place is. The quesadillas are so good. I get the plain steak and cheese and then I get a side of salsa. Fantastic. If i want to REALLY treat myself I'll to the king special tostada salad which included shrimp steak and chicken in a tostada bowl. The shrimp is jumbo sized and so flavorful. But it's like $20 so I've only had it like twice unfortunately. My advice is to call your order in so it can be ready if your doing takeout. They are really friendly there. This place is dynamite. I'm there at least once a week. The chicken and steak fajitas are pretty much all I get. I occasionally sneak in a hard shell taco. But what I like the most about this place is it's always consistent. I'm determined to try there 15 taco in last in hour throw down. Spend $70 on a delievery order. received 2 chicken instead of beef tacos. Called spoke with SUSan the owner. I explained the situation and INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING SHE ASK'S OH YOU DONT LIKE CHICKEN !?!? She asked if I had opened then yet I said yes and saw the chicken. She wanted the tacos BACK! I gave them back to the delievery driver which made me feel worse because I am worried they are going to give it to someone else. I felt that they should have told us to just keep them or throw them out. The driver actually checked the tacos on my porch to look at the chicken!!!
