Love this place! Their soups are made with all natural ingredients. The service is top notch, and they also have homemade pasta.

I bought some grass-fed Beef Onion Soup bone broth and added some Swiss Gruyère cheese to it. I have never tasted a better French Onion Soup, not even when I was a high school exchange student umpteen years ago in suburban Paris. I drank some Cabernet Sauvignon with my soup, making it the best homemade meal that I have had in a long time. I also purchased some cheese ravioli. Antonio, the owner, graciously gave me some complimentary tomato sauce after I told him that I found out about his pasta store in July 2020 when Teresa L's review of the store made ROTD. The cheese ravioli is good by itself. It needs no sauce. In fact, it soothes my belly when I have an upset stomach. I will definitely come back here, especially when I want to impress dinner guests. read more

A location that shouldn't be passed by. For sometime I have pasted this small pasta shop on Franklin Avenue over and over without a thought. I will admit it I'm not the biggest pasta fan. Although in recent times I noted signage for Bone Broths. Now we are talking to me...and that's when i said i have to get in there. Okay so it took me a little bit longer but finally wandered in and was so glad i did. That's when I was greeted by Antonio Trozzo, an owner with a tremendous knowledge base around his products, how they are selected and made so that they can keep their Organic certifications. He went on to tell me about his Bone Broths: Beef Bone, Chicken Bone, Roasted Turkey and Immuno Chicken Bone Broth. Yes rumbles of excitment came across the brain, straight to the tummy. I opted to grab a Beef Bone and on Immuno Chicken, this way I could really get a taste of what I would call staple bases [beef/chicken]. My favorite was the Immuno Chicken Bone Broth as you really could taste the organic lemon, ginger, turmeric, garlic and parsley. Yes indeed this is what the doctor ordered to help ward off inflammation for sure. When I drank it you truly could taste each flavor and it totally made sense swimming across my tastebuds. My body definitely asked for more and more with each spoonful. It got a little addictive I must say, in a good way. While I was there I noted and was educated by Antonio on their creative organic bone broth soups too, so how could I pass up an opportunity for it to be already premade frozen solid ready to go. I grabbed 1 French Onion Beef Bone Broth soup and from their Vegan line [yes 3 selections there too for those in need]. I grabbed the Cauliflower, Cannellini Cashew soup, those are 3 C's I'm into. The French Onion beef bone broth soup is by far the freshest best tasting french onion soup I have ever had from a restaurant, store or even self made. All those organic fresh herbs could actually be identified as you are eating this soup. Fantastic and so worth the price you pay. Makes me want to go back soon to grab their Lentil and Thai Butternut Squash, you know to see if those 'Squash' the competition too. There isn't a doubt in my mind that they will. This way you can learn how to place orders if you're not in the local Franklin Square area to check them out in person. They also advertise the open farmers markets that they will be at to go and visit/grab a few to take home near you. All in all so happy I got my foodie booty in there and will be stopping in real soon, since I'm already out of the 4 small ones I got. Went back today to fill up my freezer. These homemade soups are amazing. They are not salty and taste so healthy. Everyone should have several available in case you aren't feeling well or just don't want to cook. I am going to attach a few pics of those I have tried so far and include the nutrition label. Tonight I enjoyed the Moroccan Lentil soup (with a few tortilla chips on the side) , even though lentils are not my favorite. This soup was delicious and nutritious. read more

Wonderful staff, very informative. Soups are frozen. I was under the impression they are served hot. However, I ordered the beef bone broth and butternut squash soup and heated it up at home. They were both very good. Love the cannoli kits too. Would definitely come back! read more

This place is amazing. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. He helped my mother on the website and gave her some recommendations. He took the time to speak with her when we received the items as well. We tried the alla vodka sauce which was pretty good. Needed a little salt but sauce was thick and coated the pasta well. We had the lemon dessert ! It was out of this world. Soooo much flavor and creamy. It had a lemon center that wasn't overpowering. It was so good we wanted more. We will be trying the soup and a few other desserts later this week! read more

Maybe its user (orderer) error here but I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots along with chicken broth. I have a bad cold going on and thought a meal like this would be a good boost. The chicken bone broth came piping hot - no complaints there it's exactly what I was looking for. However, the meatloaf was definitely frozen together with the mashed potatoes and carrots and microwaved. The meatloaf was like meat mush as soon as a fork came near it - totally inedible for me. The carrots and mash were definitely the consistency you'd expect from frozen then microwaved food. What a bust. It should be made clear on seamless and elsewhere, that the entrees outside of soup are microwaved like this - no less microwaved in a cheap plastic container that probably leeched all sorts of chemicals into my food. I would have definitely not ordered this food, and ordered for a diner instead where my food comes just made. Everything but the few bites of clumpy mashed potatoes went straight in the garbage. Stick to soups, maybe? I saw some frozen stuff listed on the menu but I assumed the stuff you ordered that didn't list frozen, was actually fresh. read more

I'll start with saying that it's hard to find this location, so if you're interested in going in for a visit, put La Gustosa Food Products address into your GPS, and follow signs for parking. Came here with my Mom who saw the place advertised, but had no idea what she wanted to try. The owner (who had the nicest accent) walked us through the entire process which took the overwhelming feeling out of the experience. He explained the background and goals for their company, and the process they use to create their bone broths and soups, which allowed us to understand the difference between bone broth and chicken broth. We purchased the curried carrot sweet potato and lentil soups. I haven't got to trying the lentil yet, but I did try the curried soup. It was creamy yet light, which I enjoyed, but it had an overpowering ginger taste that wasn't exactly to my liking. One bowl, and I was full! I really liked that their broths and soups are all made fresh, with organic ingredients--some even being vegan! And that they only leave their prepared soups in the fridge for 2-3 days, before freezing it for purchase. During the week you can purchase numerous hot soups for lunch take-out. They also offer a soup of the week, so there will always be something new for you to try. Freshness and Quality is guaranteed here! Wow!!!! It's always such a struggle finding soup for takeout which not only tastes delicious but is nutritious. NY Bone Broth and soup not only meets those expectations but they do it damn near perfect!! The beef and chicken broths are tasty on their own and make for a great ingredient. I'm actually mouth watering thinking about their cauliflower cashew and butternut Thai !! The soups are made fresh and can be frozen to use later. The soups are wonderful and the empanadas are delicious. The have a beautiful fresh pasta too. We have tried the immune booster, French onion, chicken vegetable, butternut and Thai butternut soups, all made in a base of bone broth. They come frozen and are easy to heat up. One was better than the next. The immune booster was well spiced, the French onion had the perfect mix of sweet caramelized onion and tangy broth. The chicken vegetable was flavorful and filling and the butternut had a curry-like warmth. I didn't try the Thai, but my sister assured me it was wonderful, and requested I buy more. The empanadas were all delicious. We tried one of each variety. The crusts were light, and the fillings pleasantly spiced. Of the ones we tried I especially enjoyed the chicken and roasted vegetable. The bbq jackfruit was pleasantly surprising, I had never eaten jackfruit & it was really good. Though my favorite so far is the spinach and mozzarella. The others were all delicious. And the baked up easily. The pasta also was delicious. I got double spinach ravioli and made it with pesto. They were light and very fresh tasting. I can't wait to try more. In addition to the above, the store sells eggs from local farms and carries other fresh artisanal local products. Definitely will be going back. read more

I went on yelp to find a good butternut squash soup and it directed me to this place! Let me tell you in one word AMAZING. I called and they were closing but they stayed opened for me. The woman there was so nice!!!! When you walk in they have a fridge of all amazing soups BUT they also have all authentic Italian pastas . The soup was so yummy . I've tried several of their soups, including the chicken bone broth, tomato basil and bolognese. They have all been great and my children like them too! Used the chicken bone broth as the base for Thanksgiving turkey gravy and it was the most flavorful gravy I ever made. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I had the best treat at a recent holiday party where cups of soup from NY Bone Broth and Soup were served. The Tomato and Basil with crispy cheesy crotons were served and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was light but rich yet no cream was used. I will be looking into the rest of their line of ready made soups as well as the broth to keep on hand as a starter for my own homemade soups. I absolutely love these soups! I tried the Butternut Squash and Cauliflower Cashew Soup so far. The Butternut Squash was so flavorful. You can taste how fresh the butternut squash was and the blend of spices worked nicely. I loved the Cauliflower Cashew soup. It was so creamy that it was hard to believe there is no cream at all in the soup. It was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend it. I will be going back for more!! read more
