Just stumbled upon this place on my way to the beach today, and I'm so glad I did! It's a small shop with healthy foods and products, plus a juice/smoothie bar in the back with lots of fun options. I got the Prana Boost smoothie, which had kale, green apple, cucumber, coconut water, pineapple, lemon, maca powder, cilantro, and ginger. It was delicious and super refreshing, especially on such a hot day. This will probably be my new go-to spot when I'm looking for a good smoothie to bring to the beach. read more

There is literally nothing better, NOTHING, than eating a grilled tofu salad from Bob's after an active day at the Beach! This salad is filled to the brim with the most incredible and crispy (yet not fried) tofu you've ever tasted, vegetables, avocado, and a creamy ginger turmeric dressing which is not pictured. Being a long beach resident, I eat this salad up to three times EACH WEEK, and I never get sick of it. If you want to try Bob's but not this salad, I highly recommend the soups, smoothies, and wraps! My friend's all time favorite treat from Bob's is the tofu cashew pudding! If you are in the Long Beach area and would like a delicious and healthy meal and/or treat, come here! It will not disappoint. read more

I swear the grilled tofu wrap tasted exactly like chicken. It was so yummy the tofu was crisp and crunchy I will have to stop by whenever I'm in the Long Beach area. I also picked up some really cool grocery items like kimchi & pumpkin flavored kombucha! Alittle pricey but high quality so totally worth the cost for me. They had a lot of items for a small place like vitamins, groceries, made to order food, essential oils etc. Also, the staff was nice. Young & friendly while they played Caribbean music in the background making my shopping experience quick & fun. Can't wait to rerun! read more

I don't know where to begin. First let me say the smoothie was good. My problem is with this older blonde haired woman behind the counter. I've never understand why certain people go into retail business. Lady, put a smile on your puss. Be cordial and appreciative that someone is patronizing your business and giving you money. I was here several weeks ago and sensed a certain arrogance but hey, I'm here for the product not the company and figured maybe this lady was having a bad day. I'm sorry though, this is the second and last time I patronize this place. If I'm going to deal with you, at least make believe you appreciate it. read more

Love this spot! I saw another review that called this place 'just like home' and boy are they right. Such friendly service and a chill atmosphere that makes you want to hang out and poke around forever. Today I stopped by the smoothie counter with a strong chocolate craving (what's new, right?). I ordered the chocolate peanut butter smoothie and it's INCREDIBLE!!! Seriously, how many of these can you drink in a week before it becomes socially unacceptable?? Decent prices for the size of the smoothies and they have a ton of vegan wrap and soup options to accompany. I look forward to coming back and trying some of their lunch options soon! Definitely stop by on your next trip to the beach! read more

This place has good smoothies. But this one worker ( who makes the smoothie) ...... not so much. My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with the smoothie I like. He pronounced the name wrong and made him say it 3 times after he showed him which one and then broke it down to him like he wasn't getting it. Made fun of him laughed at him multiple times every time he mad him say it over again which is so rude and then said I should charge you $3 more for not knowing how to say it. HOW RUDE. We will NOT be coming back here. That is no way to speak to someone. Imagine he had some sort of speech impediment ( which he doesn't) but imagine. Not nice. read more

The grilled tofu is in no way shape or form grilled. That is 100% fried. Stop mislabeling your food.

A Long Beach gem and staple- alkaline smoothie, cell energizer smoothie and their tubs of assorted organic snacks are my ultimate favorites. Whenever I pop in usually after a walk/run on the boardwalk, I pick up whatever is featured on their "daily menu". The staff is warm, extremely helpful, inviting and attentive. Definitely a "must pop in" for anyone visiting Long Beach. I normally get my goodies to go this way I'm not tempted to get a second helping! read more

I have been coming to this place on and off for years. It used to be amazing! The salads, the wraps and the SPECIALS were to die for! Even if you weren't into health food, you would love it! But so many things have gone downhill. Some of the staff members are friendly and helpful. But a few weeks ago I went in for a smoothie and this young thin Hispanic guy was looking at his phone for 4-5 minutes before even acknowledging me. Totally unacceptable. Then a heavy set (Hispanic) guy took my order. Very young. And forgot to make most of it. As he helped other customers. And ran to the back a few times. LOL. Wow. Every time I've gone in since Bob sold it, at least half of my order is wrong. The staff used to be ON point. Also the quality of the food has gone downhill. Many of the items used are GMO. most of the deli food is no longer orgsnic. And from what I've seen many of the hot items are microwaved. They just don't taste the way they used to. Selling organic food but pairing them with conventional GMO items is defeating the purpose. When they are 100% organic maybe I will return. read more

I absolutely love Bob's and am grateful to have met him before he went off to retirement. I don't often buy salads out, but the sprouts, ingredients, sauces (and flavorful tofu! I don't even usually like tofu) at Bob's are clean, healthy, and DELICIOUS. I make it a point to visit Long Beach and stop by Bob's at least once every summer just to indulge in their big filling bowls of healthy goodness. Much love to Bob's read more

I have been going to Bob's for a little over a year, Amazing vibe. I dream about the kale salad. Clean and healthy ingredients in everything they make. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything that I've ordered! You also have the option to swap a regular tortilla for collard greens if you want to cut down on carbs. Don't forget the cilantro dressing on the side. Friendly staff. Love this place!! read more

I am extremely grateful to Bob's! I traveled to Long Beach today (from Hicksville) just to feel like I did something productive to help my body. I have been coming here for years and I usually order the (very green) cell energizer smoothie, but the lovely and caring staff knew the ALKA -TONIC is EXACTLY what I needed today and just WOW, what a difference it made. I caught a nasty cold that I couldn't seem to kick and this ALKA-TONIC "feel better drink" is really helping me to fight it. I cannot recommend this place enough its delicious AND oh so good for you. THANK YOU for the suggestion and positivity I feel like I'm actually starting to recover!! XOXO read more

Bernadette taking over Bobs is the worst thing that could've happened to an incredible business establishment. Bernadette is hands down the worst business owner I've ever seen. She manages Bobs Natural Foods terribly. She treats her employees like vermin when they are the ones actually hustling and doing the best they can. Bob if you're reading this please take your place back!!! I've been a patron of this juice and vegetarian/vegan spot for the last 4 and a half years, and I've officially switched to Jandi's in Oceanside... and I live in Long Beach. Bernadette if you're reading this, sell that business to someone who cares - especially someone who cares about their employees. read more

Need a shot of wheat grass after indulging in rich foods? Yes, I know. I've been there. Bob's Natural Foods is a nice mid-size health-food store, with a lunch counter in the back. They carry a lot of products including various teas, vitamins and supplements, frozen and packaged foods. They are very nice and helpful, and it's a good place to ask questions. So the next time you think you want to get "healthy" by going to GNC at the mall and stocking up on Power Bars, head over to Bob's instead. You'll do your community a service by supporting a local business, and you will probably learn something, too. read more

There's a serious hippy/family vibe here. They have a really good selection of vitamins and teas, a lot of organic and hard to find flours/grains/pastas/nectars/supplements/seeds/beans.... I love their juice/lunch bar in the back. You think you're paying a lot for a wrap, and then you open it and realize its the size of your head; so its pretty reasonable. I also think its adorable they have jewelry for sale in the front (adding to the hippy vibe) and picnic tables indoors in the back. read more

Let me start with I LOVE THIS PLACE! From the atmosphere to the foods to the music to the little paintings, poems and inspiring thoughts taped on the juice bar. I love the people there, the ones working and the ones that are clients. It is their good choice of healthy eats that brought me here but everything else also falls in place. Today I had a veggie wrap with avocado. It was a nice portion and I also had some carrot juice. Both were delicious. For home I got myself a cup of pudding and I loved it! It reminds me of home (California that is). When I moved here from LA a year ago I was sad to only see bagels and delis and pizzas. In many parts of LA every corner has organic/natural/vegan cafe with wheat grass and other kelp and kale juices and that was the hardest for me to give up moving here. Long Beach itself is like a little Venice beach and this cafe only makes it even more appealing. I will come back again and again here. The lady at the register said they've been in business for 30 years. I see how much thought and care is invested into the idea of the cafe and the inspirational views that the place supports. As a small business owner myself I know how important is to show appreciation of a service that you like and that's why I'm here writing this review to tell the owners how wonderful is what they do. Keeping people healthy. The blond pretty lady at the register...gorgeous hair by the way! read more

Lots of hard to find foods, supplements, cleaning products and close to home! Also - I hear the food they serve are fantastic!!! I haven't tried it yet but I hear Bob makes up some soups, sandwiches all having gluten free or vegan recipes - which is really cool! I wish there hours were a little later at night because it's hard for me to get home from work and make it in time before they close which means I can only head over here on the weekend. I actually got to meet Bob himself while I was in here and he's a really nice guy. Looking forward to going back again! Enjoy! read more

I recently moved to Long Beach. The first "eatery" I fell in love with here is Bob's Natural Foods. It's a small local health food store with a lunch counter and juice bar in the back. Every day they have a different selection of soups & stews that were deliciously cooked (overnight in a crock pot) with organic herbs and veggies. My favorite is the Hawaiian rice and beans stew: brown rice, onions, red beans, pineapple and gently warm spices put a big smile on my face. For the days I don't feel like a warm lunch, I order one of their wraps (grilled tofu and avocado rocks) it's stuffed with tamari grilled tofu, soft avocado and the freshest organic veggies - splattered with the unbeatable annie's goddess dressing. They keep an industrial sized bottle behind the counter! Their smoothies make me swoon. The atmosphere is super friendly, and they play a satellite radio station with folk and world music. And if you're having any ailments, ask Bob for advice on what to take - he's the local herbologist. Don't miss this place. read more

I moved upstate a little while back, but I really want this place to be there when I come to visit! So basically this review is my humble appeal to you Long Island folk to please check this place out and bring all your friends. You will live forever if you eat here. Disclaimer: not medical advice. But seriously, you will. Bob's natural foods makes great fruit and green smoothies and juices and super crunchy raw vegetarian wraps the size of your head. What else could you possibly want... in life? It's the perfect clean, healthy meal after hitting the beach. No shirt/shoes required. The dining area is at the back of the store; listen for the roaring vitamix blender. read more

Above par smoothie-juice bar. Food is health conscious but not anything extraordinary. Good for quick bites "on the run". They stock a large array of health oriented frozen and dry food items. If you take supplements they have a lot of stock. Old school LB biz, good to support them and keep them in the community. read more

Convenient location after a run and they have very healthy and organic ingredients to accommodate a fit life style. It is really pricey though so that explains the 3 stars. Staff is friendly and they have a wide variety for their menu. I only got their shake and I was $10.05! It was a really good shake and I didn't feel sluggish after. Their chocolate peanut butter shake was delicious though Overall, it is expensive but it is good and healthy. Healthy food is expensive so that's explainable. Just hoped their smoothies to be cheaper read more

This place feels like home! Thanks for the best organic juices in town! Also bob makes fresh organic and gluten free lunches under 6 bucks. If you think healthy eating is expensive you're wrong!! Smoothie was very good. The veggie burger not so much. Didn't care for it in a wrap style as it was way too messy to eat in truck. When I got home I threw the other half away - wasn't worth the money! Also, I didn't even see the vegetable burger? Spent 25 for a coffee smoothie and mediocre at best veggie burger. I'll probably come back for a smoothie or organic items - but the food not so much. Too expensive and not satisfied. The vegan coffee was $5.25 - what is this Starbucks for Vegans!?!? Plastic bags are .05 each which the lady told me but let me "slide" - they should have paid me for eating here - lower the prices by .05 and let the bags be free. Overall: Mediocre Vegan Food, good smoothie, nice service though. Expensive!!! read more

This little gem is part cafe part health food store. You can sit and eat at a small bar or at a small community table inside. The food, smoothies and drink selections are all appetizing to me! Great smoothies. Unpredictable hours. Was sublime when Bob owned it. The new owner has negative energy. Disorganized and can take or leave your business. Its a shame because this place is the only gig in town. My last visit was prior to the pandemic, god only knows what the situation is now. Good Luck. read more

Great wraps, but took a while to make them, so do not go if you are in a hurry. There was no one else there before me, and I waited 20 minutes for 3 wraps. [I called to see if I could order over the phone and pick up, and they said they do not do phone orders in the summer because they are too busy.] I had a 1 oz. shot of wheatgrass while I waited, so that calmed me down :) The wraps were jam-packed full of veggies though and were a little messy because they were overflowing. My dad, who lives in Long Beach and usually eats pretty poorly, loved the tuna wrap, so that was a win! I took them to go on the beach. read more

Prior to the switch to the new owner, Bob's was one of my favorite places to go weekly. The new owner's energy is negative bitter and annoying. I got a smoothie that tastes like water and was terrible, I complained and she wanted to "talk to me about it". Had 1,000 reasons why the smoothie wasn't to my liking and chewed my ear off to give me another smoothie. Her last reason was maybe the smoothie maker was agitated because I didn't have my mask on.
