Pretty solid place for tacos. Unlike a lot of places in town, still only $3.50 for a breakfast taco. Homemade flour tortillas. Good thickness. Warmed up nicely before serving. Had chorizo and egg on flour and bacon and egg. Both good. Chorizo wasn't overly greasy. Bacon is crumbled, which is great.

Was in the area and this place was highly recommended. When you park be sure to inform the waitress, so they won't charge you. Anyways the place is as crowded and all staff were nice and attendant to us immediately. The food was as outstanding and they are super generous with their helpings. I really enjoyed the cup of coffee , it was smooth and strong like a good bourbon. The inside was nicely decorated and clean. Will definitely hit this joint again, LOL.

We came here before our flight home so we wouldn't be hungry eating airport food. We tried the following: Ham, egg & cheese Migas El Senor Crockett El 4/20 Street Taco Honestly, anything with beef here is really good. The potato strings on El 4/20 had a nice texture crunch and contrast. The Senor Crockett was probably my favorite out of the beef tacos, the grilled onions, peppers and cheese went really well. All the salsas were solid, I thought they would be super hot based off their chart. I didn't think they were too spicy at all. My kids liked the ham and cheese breakfast taco a lot. I thought the migas was surprisingly good since it didn't have any meat in it, just eggs. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would try it again if in the area.

This was my first time at Taco Joint and I am so happy I was introduced to this place! It's everything I love in an authentic taco spot in ATX. A bit of a hole in the wall, but still plenty nice. Friendly service, handmade flour tortillas, big portions and delicious salsa. I got the fish taco and street taco. Both extremely filling. The fish taco specially was the star of the shoe. Perfectly fried! The red salsa was a perfect addition to the meal.

Meh. This was our second taco stop for the day and probably would have skipped it next time. For one, tacos are a bit pricey. It's probably because they're fairly large, which I actually thought was too large. I would've preferred smaller tacos both for the sake of trying multiple items and for feasibility of eating them. The fish taco in particular was a bit underwhelming, but the meat tacos were pretty fine. The home-made chips, though, were really good with the guacamole, so that I would order again. Outdoor seating is nice if the weather is nice, which it was.

Great breakfast tacos, fresh tortillas, good sauces. Fast and fresh. I'm just updating the menu photos because they are out of date, and the online order form doesn't describe the contents.

The location is pretty great, it's nice to find a spot to eat In the area where parking isn't an issue. We went on Austin's 2025 snow day, they were open and had salted their lot and the ramp into the store. Unfortunately their heat was broken in the store that day and their poor employees looked like they were freezing in full coats. But they were friendly, the food was warm, and the service was quick. I had their chorizo and egg taco and a barbacoa taco. Both were very big and tasted great. I paired it with their habanero salsa and their avocado salsa. Neither were very spicy but had good flavor. This place is VERY casual, but a great lunch spot.

Taco Joint is a clean little restaurant were very good breakfast tacos. I fully enjoyed mine with a cup of hot coffee. I had the house made flour tortillas, which were quite good. The eggs were well seasoned and all the toppings worked together beautifully. Order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. No frills, just good food in a cozy dining room. I would definitely return.

The best tacos in Austin hands down! Service was quick, the space is small but foot traffic moves fast. It's loud so not the best place if you're looking for a quiet spot.

Perfect spot for a quick bite. They have a fairly large patio if you'd like to sit outside or take it to go. They get pretty busy on the weekends. This day we sat outside to enjoy our meal. My go to is usually the Street Taco. It was was good, but I feel like the taco's used to be larger. Queso is on point. Decided to try and Enchilada Fries and they were pretty tasty! Also can't forget to pair it with a Mexican Coke :) Also if you like spicy try their Habanero Salsa.

You'll get a quality taco and good sauce options at taco joint. The line can be long and the parking is minimal if you go at peak times.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average
