They are super busy, it is a holiday weekend. So the wait was pretty long. Very nice guys working there and I can see they are hustling. The food was ok. I think my biggest criticism is that the tortillas are cold and so that makes everything cold. If the tortillas had been warmed or thrown on the flattop for a minute my review would be a bit better. Service was AWFUL. We pulled up to the drive through and they completely ignored us. Then we went inside where not only did no one have a headset on for the drive through, but none of the employees were, well, working. The place was pretty packed and NOBODY had their food. The three employees just sat there loudly complaining and staring at us while we waited to order. We walked out. Hire more people or fire those employees. read more

The Good: Friendly service, clean eating area. Had taco bravos, which were okay. Taco burger -- basically their seasoned ground beef with lettuce, cheese on a bun -- was okay. Prices were fair. Needs Improvement: Seasoned beef was "meh". I haven't eaten at a Taco John's for a number of years and my recollection of their beef was that it was better. Needed salt at minimum, maybe a number of other spices as well. Bottom Line: I'd eat here again if I wanted a bargain meal with bargain expectations. read more

The food here is good but the $9 Boss Burrito was surprisingly small and the $2 value menu items had an unbalanced ratio of tortilla to filling. Not enough protein for the price. It is what it is. I was on a road trip and needed to get something quick. They have vegetarian bean burritos and potato oles that are good but not great. The price is great. I got a weird dirty lemonade that I kind of regretted ordering lol. Overall it's not bad, it was kind of dirty inside though and took a while to get my order. If they cleaned it up so it was pleasant to stay and eat there rather than in my car I'd give them another star. Service was ok, she did her best, but also seemed stressed out. read more

First location in Utah. My extended family looooves this place in Wyoming. They go every road trip and now this will be a regular road trip stop through Utah. Attached to Loves and it all seems really clean. Loves has a lot of food options as well. Personal, I would say it's way better quality than Del Taco, with a similar menu. read more

Stopped in Fillmore for gas and lunch. We had heard Taco Johns was good. So we gave it a whirl. It was pretty good we got the cheddar crunch tacos. And are glad we did. Good flavor and the mild sauce was really good. That being said are they authentic Mexican food? No. Are they better than Taco Bell or Taco Time? Yes. We will be making this a regular stop in Central Utah when traveling thru. read more

Employees are cheating the drive-through timer. They are pulling every single order from the drive-through to wait longer only to find out that your order is not accurate, but you still got charged for items you did not receive. You think in a small town you do everything to make sure your livelihood stayed alive, but no. In attempts to have the issue resolved, I attempted to contact the restaurant and request a refund for the set items. After my daughters basketball game we wanted to eat something on the way home before we potentially crashed our car in the snow storm...it's called Taco John's. You get what you get, and what we got was the honkiest "Mexican food" you can imagine. Think if Taco Bell had a baby with mayonnaise.... That's Taco John's. Eat it if you're hungry and think mayo is spicy. If you have taste buds.... Just go home. They did offer me "super hot" hot sauce that was "in the back". It's basically white people chili verde. This Taco John is a solid 3+. It was clean, staff was friendly and attentive and food was reasonably good. As others said, it is a cross between Taco Bell and Del Taco with Tater Tots. Food tasted good for what it is. Would I go back?, Sure! read more

New location in Fillmore, Utah at the Loves Truck stop. Think last time I ate at a Taco Johns was in mid 80's. A Midwest chain with a different spin on "Mexican Food". My wife had a Chicken Quesadilla. She said it was ok, but bland & plain. I had the Lrg Chicken Burrito. Had the combo with mini tater totes and a drink. Burrito was different. Had a sour cream mixture and corn, rice, black beans and chicken. Again bland and just ok. Pretty Gringo type food. Probably be another 40 years before I try them again. On the plus side the Hot sauce wasn't bad. read more
