Does this look like it should costs $17.00? Hell no! I'd pay $13 tops for a burrito like this.

You Would think that a place like this that is rundown, and in desperate need of remodeling and repair would treat their local following a little bit better. Providing quality food that's affordable but no, This place is so over priced and expensive it's clear they're desperate for money but none of it goes back into the business. An "average" sized smothered burrito cost almost $17! $1.00 charge each for Tomatoes, Lettuce, onion?!?! I can see for guacamole and sour cream but the normal garnishes??come on.... I'm not sure who you are trying to cater too but y'all need to make some upgrades before you go charging prices like that. Weak. Will not ever go back.

I have been going to Taco House for over 30 years. I believe the store on Littleton Boulevard in Littleton, Colorado is the best out of all of them. I travel quite the distance for the meal. They have good food, friendly staff and a homey atmosphere. The prices are reasonably priced. The menu is filled with a large array of foodie goodness. Taco House has been in the Denver Metro Area for over 50 years. I come from the old school "All You Can Eat," so I've had my fair share of this "Colorado Mex" over the years. I get the same thing every time. I even take my mother there for Mother's Day. My whole family loves the Taco House. Many forsake it. I think those forsakers are crazy and wrong. Support local businesses and give Taco House a try. You'll be glad you did.

As I walked in around 4 pm with family, we were the only ones in and then as the day progressed, more people came in for an early dinner! Clean, little rustic looking, Walls filled with fun graphics, kind staff, fun looking bathroom signs (women's) is how I will describe this restaurant. We ordered tacos - al pastor, carne asada, chicken, shredded beef, Adobada (pork without pineapple) and smothered marinated pork Burrito. Loved all the dishes and the clear winner for us was the Adobada meat (marinated pork). Every single bite was flavorful, juicy and tender. The seasoning was just right without it being overpowering. Both the Tacos and the gooey Burrito were filled with lots of meat - honestly, it was simple and satisfying without it being too greasy. Pricing was very affordable for the food portions and the food quality you get here. This is definitely an authentic spot you want to visit whenever you are in the mood to eat Mexican food - simple high quality food. Highly recommended and a spot I will always return to whenever I visit Denver next time.

The staff was friendly and polite. One side had great natural light when one side was a little darker. Vivid painting on one wall but honestly we are here for the food. At the level that I would come back again but not at the level to make it one of my regular places. The salsa bar would be a complete waste on Ryan because of his sensitive tummy. Food came out suspicious fast for really fresh food.

One thing I really appreciate is the fast service and how quickly the food comes out, even when they're busy. The service is impressively fast. The ambience is great and there's plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it never feels cramped. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Los Dos Portillos is consistently good. I've been to multiple locations, and the quality is just as good every time. Occasionally, you'll even catch a mariachi band, which adds a really fun, authentic vibe. One time they even humored me and played "Poco Loco," which thoroughly delighted me. There will almost always be a wait on Friday and Saturday nights, but honestly, it's a reflection of how popular the place is, and it's worth it. I grew up in an area with a high Hispanic population, so my standards for Mexican food are pretty high. This place absolutely delivers. It's one of those spots I keep coming back to, and I'm never disappointed.

Although I do find it annoying that they put huge chunks of steak on the nachos so you have to individually cut them up. Nachos shouldn't require silverware. The margs are tasty! Prices are fair. We have taken family and friends from out of town and all have been satisfied each time. They do have a wait during popular times so be aware of that but you can always get a drink at the bar. I have determined one really can't go wrong. This time we had the pupusas and smothered breakfast burritos, yes, for supper. The pupusas have that only-mom's homemade kind of flavor. I will be craving queso-chicharrón in the future. The smothered breakfast burritos, using a nice balance of fresh potatoes, eggs, and meat of choice, had layers of flavor, topped off with a delicious blanket of green chili sauce. I was not disappointed by the bacon in mine which was even crispy. In the past we have thoroughly enjoyed street tacos, smothered burritos, and chile rellenos- all great! Our server was attentive and obviously proud of their product (rightfully so). It is a small space and the seating limited but acceptable. We moved from booth to table, as the booths were pretty uncomfortable. This is a small thing in light of the excellent food and always very friendly staff. If comfort is an issue, don't pass on takeout! It was a nice evening and I look forward to introducing other friends to this dining experience.
