Went to my "go to" taco truck, Taco Fuego, for some last minute bites. This truck is in the Galleria Food Truck Park, at the crossroads of Chimney Rock and Richmond. Went for the mini fajita tacos and flautas. Solid choice in the tacos, but the flautas are best left behind as the cheese overwhelms the small pieces of chicken. The flautas are more like fried, rollup cheesy torts, which ain't my bag! I easily could have pounded another three mini tacos! The price is right, the service was quick, and the food was tasty. Next time in the area, I will expand and try the "Double Wagyu Smash Burger" at Fuego's Hot Chicken or some of the other wagyu treats at Juicy Joint! read more

Around 11:30pm on June 28th, my boyfriend became violently ill, sweating profusely, collapsed, then vomited in the Goodyear parking lot about 40 minutes AFTER eating the 3 chicken tacos he ordered. Clearly the food is contaminated and/or the cooks don't know how to cook chicken because he clearly is experiencing food poisoning. He's still very sick! This chain of businesses has no working phone or email to contact any of the locations on their website. The one number I found no answer and no response from them when I sent message on IG which is extra sketchy so I'm definitely reporting this particular location to the department of health! In my opinion Taco Fuego is definitely worth the wait. I'm a native of California, I've tried birria tacos in every state I visited. These are the ABSOLUTE BEST birria tacos I've had. Yes the best! The birria taco is a special taco, the meat to cheese ratio is very important. Taco Fuego has mastered the birria taco! The meat was seasoned well, every bite was meet with nice gooey cheese! Finally decided to try this place out after hearing about it from multiple people. The wait was not too bad, it was roughly 30 minutes, but considering the amount of people that were there I was fine with it. We got the quesabirria de res, the empanadas, the flautas, and the Mexican street corn. Everything was good, but the flautas were absolutely amazing! The quesabirria de res wasn't my favorite, but that was just a personal taste preference. The service was also really good too. I had ordered the churros, but got home to see that they didn't include it with my food despite being charged for it. Had the opportunity to try Taco Fuego a few times and this location is definitely the one you want to come to. Each time I've gone, I've always gotten the taco birria and it's never been a disappointment. The meat is extremely tender and the dipping sauce- oh my damn! So freaking good! Now, be warned, this is not a dish you eat in your car, especially a car you just had washed. Due to the fact that it's so juicy, there may be spillage. Word to the wise- eat it at home or eat outside your car. I recently tried their loaded fries, quesadilla and churros. All three were also perfect. However, if I had to only choose one item, it would be the quesadilla. Their birria tacos and quesadilla are my go to items. The food is incredible at both locations but the customer service at THIS location is what sets the bar. Luis always greats me with a smile and Melvis (or is it Melvin?) treats me like we're family. This time, long wait, two guys working very hard, so they are understaffed. When we got the food, the experience was underwhelming. The quesabirria was okay but the meat wasn't as saturated as I expected. And the dipping consomme? I've made birria de res before. This consomme was very different . Loved the food here. The empanadas are great. Also liked the shrimp taco. 3 bulbous shrimp and very tasty. I tried the birria burger and it was just so so. I have been wanting to try birria tacos. Saw this truck that sells them and decided to give them a try. I ordered the birria tacos with consume, the chicken empanadas and the chicken flautas. Honestly I didn't care for the birria tacos. The beef had a great flavor but the texture I could not get with. The meat was too mushy for me. But the flautas were so good and fried to perfection. It came with crema, cilantro and pickled onions. Oh my goodness so good. The chicken empanadas were delicious as well. It came with a green sauce that added extra flavor. This was my first taste of barria tacos so keep that in mind but I really enjoyed these. The tacos were cheesy and filled with huge chunks of beef. The sauce that the tacos are dipped in was good but didn't have nearly the amount of flavor as the tacos. It was also very loose and didn't really coat the tacos as much as I would have liked. I ended up ditching it all together and just enjoyed the tacos on their own. I also had their street corn and this was delicious! Plump kernels topped with lots of quality cotija and a perfect finish of lime. No matter what I get next time Elote is going to be in the line up. All in all I liked this place. This truck on El Verde is their newest location! It's in the Galleria Food Truck Park. I'll admit that I saw this food truck on Tik Tok, but I've been seeing birria tacos all over social media and been dying to try. Customer service was amazing, the guy is super nice! Unfortunately since this is their new location, they didn't have agua Frescas yet but we got both quesabirrias - beef and chicken. Each entree came with two quesabirrias and more than enough consomé. Let's start with the service, 80% of their menu was unavailable and they refused to let anyone know that, so they let people wait for over an hour in line without letting them know that all they had available was corn and tacos. There is a small lot which was full.  I got in line and there was 4 people in front of me.  No problem, 4 people should go by quickly.  I was wrong, 40 minutes later I was able to place my order.  I order the beef and smoked chicken birria tacos. 10 minutes later I received my order and the food looked "good". That's about where it ended. I got in my car because there are no tables on the dirt lot which is also shared by a chicken truck.  I ate the smokeless chicken taco first, then the beef birria taco.  I wish I can tell you that the 50 minutes of waiting was worth the amazing birria tacos I received, but they weren't. When you place an order you pay ahead of time which that's fine. When I asked for fries he charged me for extras without asking me. I didn't realize until after I received my food and looked at my receipt. They didn't give me one of my orders and it was too late by the time I found out. I call and never pick up. Furthermore he tells me not to add tip if I'm paying card so please pay separately cash only for tips. I paid cash for my food and he saw me place the cash in addition at the tip jar and keeps my change on top of that. Very questionable how the owner does business. read more

Definitely a foodie spot with great Tacos! Ordered 4 birria tacos they were delicious and so was the corn. My only issue is the weird timing of food being ready. They obviously get a lot of customers so you're gonna get a 15-20 min wait but a man in front of me who ordered the same thing as me got his food immediately and we literally just ordered, there were at least 4-5 ppl ahead of us, I'm not sure if he just got lucky that it was already made or what, but that was the only thing that threw me off. Definitely on board the birria bandwagon after a visit to Taco Fuego !!! The guy that took my order was super helpful, and could immediately tell this was much first visit. I asked for one chicken and one beef taco so I could try each, and he added a bonus beef taco (pretty sure he knew I would prefer that one, haha!). I loved all the flavors in these tacos - the meat is well seasoned and wonderfully juicy, so the consume only elevates that! The beef was seriously delicious - will order that in future! Personal preference - I'll also get a side order of extra pickles onions, and some pickled jalepeños - I had a run-away pepper on one of the beef tacos that tasted great, and I loved the brineyness the onions brought to the table. The guy that took my order also recommended the dulce de leche churros, which were insanely delicious! So perfectly crunchy and sweet!
