I placed an order on Uber Eats so I can't speak on the establishment itself however, I will tell you I I am very satisfied with my order. I ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada. They actually sent me enough to make two tostadas and I ordered a taco. Gordo and I ordered a Marlin taco great portions. Everything looks fresh taste just as if I was sitting at the taco place and then they send you all the toppings and enough of the toppings not just a little bit so if you ever in the mood for a fish taco and can't make it out there they do deliver!!

Taco Tuesday! Fish tacos from this place on a Tuesday is easily the best deal in town. $1.50 per taco and they stuff each one with delightfully crispy fish that was fried just seconds before serving. They come plain but there is a bar where you can customize each taco to your liking with many sauces and toppings. The service was quick and couldn't have asked for anything more. The ambiance was awesome. Everyone's excitement for their food to come out was palpable. It was clean, well decorated, and cool enough to eat fried fish tacos despite the blazing sun outside. The rest of the menu looked incredible as well but it'd be tough to order anything else with this deal. I went with some roommates and we will definitely be returning with more friends.

My favorite fish and shrimp tacos! Pricy but so worth it. Plenty of seating and a salsa bar for toppings. Menu is small and perfect. You order at a window then sit down and wait for your food to be called. It's quiet but a good space for lunch.

Taco Fish isn't a large restaurant or have a lot of parking so it's not super easy to find. I came in and it took a bit to figure out the menu. You order through a small window. I got the shrimp soup and 2 shrimp tacos. I was bummed to hear grilled shrimp was not an option and the only shrimp avaliable in a taco was fried. The food was very good. The service was typical counter service and there wasn't a tip line on the receipt. Good option for Mexican seafood.

After I saw my previous review, I was absolutely certain that I have not been here in three years. This place is still as fantastic as ever. The ceviche is perfectly marinated with the right amount of veggies, the shrimp is plentiful. The shrimp tacos are perfectly fried, and with enough shrimp to be able to make two tacos out of one serving. To top it off Thursdays are two for one shrimp tacos. You cannot get that anywhere else in town. It is located perfectly on the southside of Tucson on Irvington and 12th Ave. The heart of Our Mexican culture. The staff is very friendly, and your food comes out, fresh and very quickly. The flavors are phenomenal, they have a gray salsa/condiment bar that you're able to stock up and use on your food. The location is kept immaculate by the staff. It is very clean and very accommodating. The drink menu lacks a little in the sense that they only have refreshments like soda and Mexican juices. They too are also fantastic. But it would be fantastic to be able to have a drink while you eat this delicious food. Bottom line, if you want amazing Sonoran style seafood, with a local only touch. This is the place to go.

Came here for taco Tuesday... And for those who need to know as of August 2023 there is only one offering on the taco Tuesday list and that is a deep fat fried battered shrimp taco for $1.50 a pop. I was misled by some older reviews thinking that all the tacos were $.99 a piece but that's no longer the case. As a result, I ended up ordering a ceviche shrimp tostada for me and one for my friend. That along with a bottle of Sprite cost $17. The ceviche was awesome and it came with two fresh corn tortillas that were nice and crispy. I was able to make two tostadas out of it. That salsa's in the salsa bar are simple, but very tasty. I would come back here but I think I'm gonna try some other places first for taco Tuesday.

Different days of the week there are deals. I love this spot! Thursday's and Friday's are my fave days to go! Tacos super filled with fish. Extra tortillas means enough to make another taco. Super delish and the bichi juice is my all time fave! It's a must try to dip or just have on the side. This place is clean! I lil that they have a sink for people to wash hands before and after eating. There is always one staff person cleaning right away.

$2 Tuesdays for first tacos!?!?! Are you kidding me? This is definitely one of the better deals considering that lately you can hardly find street style tacos less than 3 dollars in Tucson. Ordered 4 tacos and loaded it with all the goods. It also came with a small soup (/broth?) if you ask for it. We will be back.

I first tried their amazing fish tacos 9 years ago at their food truck on Grant Ave. between 6th and 5th Ave. They have since sold the truck to a former employee who retained the recipes and renamed the truck to "El Barquito." So my review of the Taco Fish food truck no longer exists. Bottom line: Best fish tacos in Tucson, period. As my wife and I love fish tacos, I have tried everyone's fish tacos in town. I could go ahead and list all the places I've tried a fish taco, but I'm too lazy to type them all out. Just do a search here on Yelp for "fish tacos" and all the search hits you get is where I've had them, and then some. You can't beat Taco Fish for the flavor and you can't beat Taco fish for the price. The recipe, as I understand it (from a Tucson Foodie article?) is that the recipe is indigenous to the owner's home town in Mexico and has been a family recipe. It is perfect. The right kind of fish and the right kind of batter, and the right kind of frying makes this a non-greasy delight to eat. A fish taco consists of four to five pieces of fish and two tortillas. (Tip: If you order two tacos, they give you three tortillas, so either ask for a fourth tortilla or specify a fourth one when you order them.) This is enough fish and tortilla to make TWO tacos, which we always do. Each taco costs a mere $3.00, and if you do as I do, that's two tacos for $3.00. On taco Tuesday, the tacos are 99¢! That's 45¢ a taco! Then you go to the salsa bar for shredded cabbage or shredded slaw, pickled onions, pico de gallo, and limes. There are different sauces available: avocado, mayo, chipotle, hot sauce. I've had the shrimp tacos, too, and they are absolutely equally delish! The ceviche tostada is piled high. Piled high. You can have a cup of free biche soup as well. Everything on the menu is really good and reasonably priced. Go! Parking can be tight. The interior is really like an exterior. It feels like an expanded garage/patio. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

You want some delicious shrimp ceviche? Then swing by this place. This hidden gem serves seafood primarily so of course I kept with the theme and it did not disappoint. The tostadas were very crispy and perfectly textured to hold all of the delicious ceviche. What you'll get here: Counter ordering, pick up food, general seating. Mexican drinks including horchata and bottled soda. Basic salsa bar with pico, limes, red onions, and various sauces. Good prices. Delicious food. Friendly service. Mediocre parking.

This is a very limited review considering their menu has like seven types of tacos, but the fish and shrimp tacos were delicious! (The shrimp were tastier though.) They give you a lot of fish, toppings, and sauces, and some extra tortillas, so don't go overboard and get 3 tacos like I did - I was stuffed. There's three outdoor tables under two large, shady mesquite trees. It was a lovely place to have lunch today. Whenever I get around to going back, I'd love to try their ceviche.

I love this place they always have great customer service starting at the register and people who give you your food and the people cleaning the tables. Besides having a great Customer service they have the best Fish Tacos in Tucson and maybe the best ones i have ever tasted. The Fish tacos a served with two tortillas and the portion is big enough to make two tacos out of one. The condiment bar has Everything that the taco needs to taste EXTRA DELICIOUS !!! I always take my family there when they come visit from out of town and they LOVE IT just like I do. My second best favorite thing to order is the Vichi that is the best soup to eat with the fish tacos. If you've never had anything like it try it and i will guarantee you that you will fall in love with this place and you will return often. read more

I give it 2 1/2 stars. Ate here for dinner. Hubby got 2 marlin tacos. I got marlin taco and shrimp taco. Shrimp taco was good. Hubby and I were not a fan of the Marlin taco; seemed like it was dried fish, rehydrated and seasoned. Too fishy and chewy for our taste. Probably should have gotten the regular fish tacos instead of marlin. Side salsa/topping bar was good, lot's of options and sauces. Total bill 15.75. Did not enjoy having a man panhandling inside the dining area. read more

3.00 taco Gordo is really good and its huge. I have tried everything here and it is always fresh and very delicious. There is a reason why it is so popular and it is because the food is always very good. 12th and Irvington parking sucks and is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. Also no wifi. read more

Amazing shrimp tacos, the enchilado ( camarón taco with sauce and cheese- grilled) is great if you want cheese in your taco ( like my son) and the Bichi mix soup will cure anything that ails you! We love Taco fish!! read more

I had my second experience there today and it was just as good as the first. Taco Fish truly serves the best fish taco in Tucson! For $3 you get two tacos and they are sooo tasty. They have a limited toppings bar, but it is in no way unsatisfactory. The two homemade sauces alone are worth going for, especially the avocado/cilantro concoction. My only complaint is that they're not open for dinner (it's just so hot during the afternoon), but that won't stop me from making future trips to try out the rest of the menu. read more

You guys rating more than 3 stars are high or paid shills. This place didn't give me food poisoning, and that's about it. The fish tasted like something from the frozen food isle. The pricing is exorbitant. The "guacamole" is runny and tasteless. I mean just look at the pictures already posted. Look at them. Does that look good to you, or does it look like a turdball? Do yourself a favor and just get fish tacos from Rubio's. Sure, it's slightly more expensive, but at least their salsa is worth a damn. I'm starting to think the entire Mexican food industry in Tucson is gaming the Yelp system. read more

So my husband was looking for a fun, interesting place to take his parents visiting from Ohio. Seems they get a bit tickled walking on " the wild side" and ordering food from trucks. I wasn't there but I hear it was quite a thrill, if a bit dusty, but they were already pretty well coated with dust from touring Tucson for a few hours so it didn't matter. They went to Cabeza as well as fish, so this should be a multi part review straddling the head of a cow and the sea....the ultimate surf n turf? Perhaps. My husband and FIL's giddy laizzes faire approach to crazy eating worked well here. If I had been along, I'd be interpreting each type of cabeza, explaining what exactly it is, what kind of sides you might expect and possibly throwing in a dry and boring historical footnote about the evolution of language as a result of the mixing of aztec, spanish and english cultures here in norte america. ( fascinating!) My husand, on the other hand, just pointed to several menu items and said, we'll try one of each. His Mom, being somewhat less adventurous after accidentally eating a cat burger in Thailand said " i think I'm going over there to Taco Fish. That's where me and my opinion comes in. My lovely MIL brought me home a foil covered plate of three delightful fish tacos. What you might assume when driving by to be a low tech, charmingly simple place who are a bit awkward with their English and called their business Taco Fish by accident instead of, say, "fish tacos" is a very clean and tidy little setup that includes at table order taking, free wifi and a website. Their fish tacos are pretty tasty too. The fish was in smallish chunks, so each taco offered quite a bit of delicious fried crunch. There was some nice cabbagey stuff ontop, and some mayonnaissey green stuff to pour on it. Very nice flavors, and no weird strange black things in the fish that cannot be identified requiring extensive operating on the remaining fish. The corn tortillas were your standard, not bad but nothing special either. I'd say it was quite good. Ultimately it felt like it was lacking the love that I feel Pico de Gallo puts into their tacos fish, but i'd say they were made with like. And that's pretty good. read more

Not just the most delicious fish tacos but the best tacos of any kind I have had in Tucson (and in general fish tacos are not my favorite type of taco). (For the sake of comparison, Taqueria Pico de Gallo's fish tacos are not even close). I have had the fish, shrimp, and gordo tacos, and all are fantastic. The seafod is tender and cooked perfectly, and the sauces are unbelievable. The tacos are also big enough to easily make each one into two tacos (especially the gordo). Make sure you also get some of their homemade limonada. read more

Taco Fish has come a long way since their taco trailer in the current restaurant's parking lot. They have the best ceviche and shrimp tacos I have had in Tucson. I like the upscale taqueria feel to this place. Soda's are a rip-off($1.80 per can), but food prices are reasonable for the quality of food there. I'm waiting to see a comparison to Mariscos Chihuahua. read more

my first 5 star review. the best fish Taco's ever. I started with the first Rubio's 20 years ago in Mission Beach in San Diego and have been eating them longer than most people. I always order on fish and 1 chili cheese( shrimp) and turn it into 3 great taco for $6. add the condiments and you will in taco heaven. read more

first of all. FLIES EVERYWHERE. i mean, literally the entire place was covered with flies that are large and small. I truly do not understand how people can give this a positive review. best fish tacos? are you kidding me. I got several lumps of overly fried fish on two tortillas. that's as good as it goes. I didn't bother with using any condiments since the serving area was plagued with flies. homeless guy sleeping outside the restaurant. i'm utterly baffled. read more

I think I went on a bad day based on all the awesome reviews. My friends had all had it so I had to try it and so I did. The results were not so good. We ordered the fish tacos. We didn't eat right then and there but instead took it to go. It was about 10-15 minutes from when I picked up the food to when I ate it.... They were soooo greasy. It was honestly hard to stomach and we didn't finish. I could totally see how they might have been good if we ate them in the moment. read more

While having a quick break from work I decided to drive over and try one of the tasty food trucks in this area. As I drove up I noticed Taco Fish and walked right up and asked the girl what was the most popular item on the menu and she said the Taco de chile Relleno. I ordered one of them and OMG was it fantastic! I couldn't eat it fast enough so I ordered another one. It was fresh shrimp, fried in a light batter served over fresh melted cheese and green chilies. I do know they have a restaurant in Tucson as well so my next trip back I'm eating at one or the other again. read more

The worst fish/shrimp tacos, shrimp cocktail I've ever had in my life!! Not to mention the restaurant was dirrty. Have not found any good sea food restaurants or Mexican restaurants in Tucson, nothing comparing to California.. very dissapointed! Never going there again . read more

Been here so many times and still loving their food. The fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and marlin tacos are all outstanding. The parking lot can fill up really fast so you might want to get here early to avoid the lunch crowd. read more

We usually get the Cevifritos since it is extremely delicious and filling. I would recommend getting the Rancheritos on the side some they don't get soggy. Quesadillas are good too. The fried fish tacos were good for the area. There have been some instances where we have eaten at the locations and had an employee come to our table to ask us to visit a YouTube channel challenge called a "Tusam Challenge"? Kind of annoying. I will still be coming back regardless! read more

Delicious! Delicious! I've been meaning to try this place seeing the reviews and finally had a chance to. Went with my husband and we missed the entrance. It really is easy to miss with the building being far back and the parking lot being small. We ordered 2 fish tacos and OMG so good! Pile on all the goodies from the condiment bar and munch away. Another yelper said that the tacos came with two tortillas so I thought it was odd that one fish taco had two, but the other one only had one. I thought maybe it was just a simple mistake and let it go. Later in the day, I raved about the fish tacos to my parents who were here visiting form California, and took them over to get more fish tacos. This time we ordered 6 tacos, having them put 3 per plate. When we got our order, I realize again, only 1 taco had the two tortillas while the rest were only one. I asked them about the missing tortillas and they said that's how they do it. *Shrug* I dunno, but I found that weird because if one taco gets two tortillas, shouldn't all tacos get 2 no matter how many you order? They were kind enough to give me extra tortillas when I asked for more. Other than that, food is awesome. Best fish tacos in Tucson. read more

I really like this food truck. I wanted to eat some fried fish but noticed that long john silvers closed down recently. So i took it to yelp help me find some fried fish and it did. This food truck has wonderful service made me feel right at home ordering. Also the portions for being a food truck is pretty big. It filled me and my son up ordering the crab tacos, and fish sticks with fries. Lots of fries and yummy fish sticks. A food truck to try! read more

Best shrimp tacos in town! I love the cole slaw and the pico de gallo con my tacos. The shrimp ceviche is really good too. One liter of it with tostadas makes a really good quick lunch or dinner. The only down fall is the small location on 12th ave, it's small and always a little crowded, but i see it as a good thing. A good restaurant should always be packed. It is the best fish taco you can get in town at their price, which is $2.50. My wife and I go here from time to time to enjoy the food. It look clean and the service is very good. Another great thing about them is they don't charge you extra for condiment like some other taco places. Try them out for one and you will see what you have been missing. read more

The food had great flavor and was plenty. I had the "taco campechano" fish and shrimp taco. Nice big pieces fish and whole shrimp. We wanted horchata but they were all out.
