Monster sized burritos, satisfying eats, actual REAL avocado slices instead of weird guacamole,…read morelots and lots of outdoor seating, plus, ...wait for it.....access to an INDOOR restroom, all with the glorious experience of a Mexican food truck? You'll find it at the ultimate Taqueria in Vallejo when you visit La Piñata Taqueria. I paid exactly $20 (after tax) for a ridiculously sized burrito that included EXTRA ASADA and some avocado, that as a whole, was nothing to laugh at. In 2026, this might be the ultimate deal you will come across without the requirement of a coupon. Parking is readily available, and you'll notice there's always people waiting for food: a sign the food is worth coming for. My food came with a small complimentary side of pickled carrots and peppers, some onions, two salsas, and a small bag of chips. This really truly is the best in Vallejo.

La Piñata has been my favorite taco truck in Vallejo for years. Even after moving away, I still…read morecompare every taco spot to this one. I used to come here after school exams for burritos and tacos. You can't go wrong with either, but I highly recommend the suadero, their rose meat. It is easily the best thing on the menu. The burritos used to be about 12 dollars and are now around 16, but the quality and portion still make it worth it. I recently came back after about a year and it tasted exactly the same. Their service is always quick despite the long line of people there. Their complimentary pickled onions, grilled onions, and carrots along with their homemade sauces really take the burritos and tacos to another level. They have added more seating so you can eat there fresh and hot. Parking is still tight with only a few spots nearby, but it is worth it for the food.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

Parking is a little tricky because so many people pack into the tiny lot. Plenty of different meats to choose from if you're craving tacos. But they have plenty of alternatives if you aren't feeling like tacos. I ended up getting Al Pastor, Asada, and Suadero. Suadero was okay but the Al Pastor was amazing. I lived in San Diego and I've had a hard time finding good pastor since I moved back. Freshly sliced with slice of pineapple was perfect! They have all the fixings in bins with tongs for you to pack in sandwich bags they have available. Only thing is, it seems like kind of a roll of the dice from a food safety standpoint, but hey, "street" tacos aMiRiTe? Haha. Overall fast service, great tacos. Especially for the price of $4/taco. I'd give it five stars but had to knock it down for the food safety aspect.

We moved in 2021 and every time we go back to the Bay Area this is our first stop from the Airport. Their Kalua tots is what keeps us coming back. We always get two orders because we love it so much. It was very mediocre, covered in sauce . The rice was cooked correctly .... The macaroni salad was tasty and seemingly dry .... The amount given for 1/2order plate was plentiful ... I ordered a slice of guava cheesecake... It was served warM w/ delectable guava sauce poured over the type of a seemingly regular crustless classic ny style cheesecake. I was expecting an actual guava enhanced / flavored cheesecake not a plain cheesecake w/ guava sauce poured over it . Very tasty ,,, However I expected a guava enhanced cheesecake base . Service was impeccable and polite . She Made a great desert suggestion . Size for my half ,,,my portion was great ... It's the super micro-slice of cheesecake served to us that was disappointing for me !!!! ( So accustomed to Cheesecake Factory slices ) Honestly I was expecting a rich guava flavor ... Pleasant atmosphere, with a bay dock view .... The ambiance was cool , calm and collected . Spacious , Clean , Great decor ,,, Did I add a waterfront view I will definitely return ....
