My most recent visit was to this location, and honestly, you never quite know what you're going to get when you order extra beans...it's either packed full or barely noticeable. Consistency isn't their strong suit, but it's Taco Casa, so my expectations are pretty casual. One thing that does concern me, though, is cross-contamination. I don't eat red meat for health reasons, and there have been several times when I've received burritos with meat mixed into the beans or had my "extra bean" request ignored in favor of meat. It's not just a preference issue; it can be risky for people like me with allergies or dietary restrictions, which is what I have. That said, it hasn't stopped me from coming back for a quick fix. Service is always polite here and food would be great if what you ordered actually ended up in your drive thru bag! It is incredibly disappointing to spend money, get all the way and learn that what you requested/ordered is in the bag! It's worse when you pay extra for what you asked for!! Not the first time this has happened...I can read the receipt and see that I ordered the right way...staff was either lazy, illiterate or forgetful. I googled Taco Casa in Saginaw, an ad on Facebook came up that says their tacos are $1.29 on Tuesdays. I ordered 3 soft and 3 crispy, they charged me $2.29 and $2.49 each. I asked them about taco Tuesday, they said 30 cents off is the deal. I showed them the ad, they couldn't have cared less. In fact, the kid at the register seemed downright put out by me for even bringing it up. Taco Casa is known for their finely shredded cheese which is generously added to everything on their menu. For me, the tacos are the star, both crunchy and soft, but I also really like their nachos. The texture of the chips is more on the thicker side and is super crunchy. It even tastes great on its own and has a nice corn taste. I know that sounds weird being corn tortilla chips but yeah. The nacho cheese sauce is always served warm. I love their jalapeños. It's pickled lightly and sliced thinly so you get a nice spicy kick in every bite. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the chili burger. I ordered it out of curiosity. It's taco meat served with lettuce and optional cheese on a hamburger bun. The burger was flattened, perhaps due to poor packaging, and looked unappealing. They should call it a taco burger. The taco salads are a good option when I'm low carbing (minus the beans). It's served in a taco shell bowl which I don't eat and is quite filling. Taco Casa's teas are great, both sweet and unsweetened, and you can even get it by the gallon. This is my go-to Taco Casa location being the closest to work and home. The staff here is always friendly during the lunch rush which is usually when I go. The few times that I have gone in the evening for dinner has been just as great. The interior is neat and clean for the most part. I've not once had my order messed up even when I made small modifications. The drive thru has two lanes which is awesome and helpful to get you on your way quicker. I've been to other locations and I find this one consistently provides good food and service. read more

I paid extra for black olives on my super nachos, but curtesy goes a long way when you are nice to the workers. It is a lot, I never finish them alone. They are 6.29 and on Tuesdays you can get them for a dollar off. Black olives are 39 cents extra. I have a coupon for $5 off of $20 but the prices are such that you have to come with a group or be really hungry to use it. If you don't come right after school, this location close to high school, then noise level is calm. I really haven't found anything to complain about. Friendly staff. read more

Cheese, cheese, and more cheese! Taco Casa is notorious for its excessive use of shredded cheese - as you can see in some of my pics. However, that doesn't bother me! The menu is small compared to other places like Taco Bell or Taco Cabana but the items are far better. They don't have any chicken or steak products. My husband always gets two super burritos which has beans, CHEESE, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, ground beef, mild sauce, and olives. He holds the olives and adds jalapenos for an extra kick. You can also get spicy green sauce instead of the mild red sauce on any of their items if you prefer. The bean burritos are large and packed full of beans, cheese, and just the right amount of sauce. Our daughter gets the Super Salad which is basically at taco salad and it comes served with their salsa. The large sweet tea is super yummy! I get mine with extra ice to make sure it is ice cold since sometimes it is a little warm. It's only $1 for the biggest sweet tea and you can refill it all you want. The kids get their "complimentary cup" soft drink and that is FREE! Our family of four can eat for a little over $20 and we all leave stuffed. Try it if you are looking for a little Mexican fast food that is good quality but cheap! You won't be disappointed!! read more

This place reminds me of Taco Villas that originated in Odessa. It makes me think that an employee went rogue, stole all the recipes, and started up a competing chain. Yep, I agree with the other 2 reviews wholeheartedly. It was filling b/c they load up the toppings on these bad boys. It was also cheap as I think I paid around 11 dollars for 2. I got a super tostada and a regular soft taco. The tostada was covered in shredded cheese, lettuce, black olives, meat, beans and possibly a dab of sour cream. With some added hot sauce packets I was nibbling without complaint. After the tostada I eyed that soft taco and damned my past self for thinking I was going to eat it. Only complaint is they sometimes don't put in the hot sauce when they ask for it and you say yes. That's been my only issue with them on several occasions. But it's always great with everything else.
