    Super Tostada

Always our favorite taco spot. The tacos are sourced from a Texas place that makes them fresh. They are the best tortillas EVER!! The meat is real meat and the beans are perfect. thanks for making my day. Better picture next time I go. I was hungry and ate it all. Kids love it also.

    Facebook ad

I googled Taco Casa in Saginaw, an ad on Facebook came up that says their tacos are $1.29 on Tuesdays. I ordered 3 soft and 3 crispy, they charged me $2.29 and $2.49 each. I asked them about taco Tuesday, they said 30 cents off is the deal. I showed them the ad, they couldn't have cared less. In fact, the kid at the register seemed downright put out by me for even bringing it up. They can charge whatever they want on Taco Tuesday, but if they're not going to honor their advertised price, shouldn't they UPDATE THEIR AD ON FACEBOOK!?! As far as I'm concerned, they owe me $7.50

    Chili burger with cheese...

Taco Casa is known for their finely shredded cheese which is generously added to everything on their menu. For me, the tacos are the star, both crunchy and soft, but I also really like their nachos. The texture of the chips is more on the thicker side and is super crunchy. It even tastes great on its own and has a nice corn taste. I know that sounds weird being corn tortilla chips but yeah. The nacho cheese sauce is always served warm. I love their jalapeños. It's pickled lightly and sliced thinly so you get a nice spicy kick in every bite. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the chili burger. I ordered it out of curiosity. It's taco meat served with lettuce and optional cheese on a hamburger bun. The burger was flattened, perhaps due to poor packaging, and looked unappealing. They should call it a taco burger. The taco salads are a good option when I'm low carbing (minus the beans). It's served in a taco shell bowl which I don't eat and is quite filling. Taco Casa's teas are great, both sweet and unsweetened, and you can even get it by the gallon. This is my go-to Taco Casa location being the closest to work and home. The staff here is always friendly during the lunch rush which is usually when I go. The few times that I have gone in the evening for dinner has been just as great. The interior is neat and clean for the most part. I've not once had my order messed up even when I made small modifications. The drive thru has two lanes which is awesome and helpful to get you on your way quicker. I've been to other locations and I find this one consistently provides good food and service.

Good food with larger than expected portions. Limited menu, but what they do have is very tasty.

Their salsa and bean dip were different than I've had at other Mexican places which was nice. We ordered the chile con queso which was nothing special and would not recommend. Tasted like regular ball park nachos and cheese. We ordered the chicken fajitas for two - I'll begin with their overly sized tortillas. I don't see the reason behind this and they don't provide enough meat and onions for the use of all 6-8 tortillas provided. Ideally you and another person will eat 3 total before the meat is gone. Now - WHERE THE HECK are the onions. We were provided with such a small amount that we had to proportion it so we each got some. Ideally, it would only serve one fajita with the size of their tortillas. They should really figure out the portions here. SECOND - for it not being busy not sure why our food took an hour before we received it. It's like they could only prepare one tables food at a time. Our server didn't apologize until she handed us the bill. Will not be coming back as there are better Mexican options around.

Man we thought it can't be worse than Joe T. Garcias. We were wrong. This place is worse. We had potato and egg tacos, steak fajita and egg plate, and a chile verde taco. The only positive, the flour tortillas weren't half bad, and one sauce in the bar, the red one labeled hot was actually good. The potato and egg itself had no seasoning. The fajita and egg plate, I want to say had one whole piece of fajita, and some smaller pieces. In other words it was pretty much non existent. The beans..well canned feel all I can say. The most perplexing thing. If you order chile verde anywhere in Texas south of Austin, it's just that. A spicy green chile sauce with pork or chicken. I was served carne guisada. Literally thats what it was. Not a good one to boot. I asked for corn, and instead of being served a decent one, like the flour, I was served bag corn tortillas. Not the good ones. I can't believe I'm saying this, I would have rather had taco cabana or taco bueno. Wow! No wonder it's raining! Don't come here EVER! Hopefully, before we leave we will find good food!
