    The WAIT IS RELENTLESS
    David A.

For making me wait in the drive up nearly an hour for food , I've got to give it 2 stars maybe 1 star . I could have literally driven to someplace had a sit down meal and be on my way home . Slowest- fast food EVER . IF it's really GOOD FOOD I might I might give them an extra star. No bueno.

    Carne asada burrito deep fried

I just went to La Alberto's. I have been coming to this chain for a couple years now, the food is always absolutely wonderful. No complaints. I typically always get the super burrito with carne Asada. Today was no exception. My bill is usually $10.01. Today my bill was $11.92. To go up basically two dollars is insane. The food is good, the food prices haven't gone up that much. I guess I will be going less frequently now. The last two times I have gone, I have asked for red sauce to be put inside the burrito, it has not been done.

Menudo was nothing but fat I eat menudo almost every weekend visiting this place I can say it's the worst

Super Burrito - chicken, refried beans, rice, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo. $9.25

So, a brand new Mexican restaurant came to Saginaw, replacing what used to be Guiso. For so many days, since their grand opening, I have seen a line of cars parked along the shoulder of Saginaw Bivd waiting to get their hands on the food that awaits them. I have heard their food is so good, with another location in Hurst. Today, I mustered the confidence to go down there and try the food. Here is what my mom and I tried: Super Nachos - $9.99 (your choice of meat, refried beans, sour cream, pico de gallo, shredded cheese) * The one problem I have with these nachos was the fact that there was no queso, just shredded cheese. I know it might seem trivial to some, but nachos to me, require queso! Overall, they were still tasty. Super Burrito - $9.25 (your choice of meat, lettuce, refried beans, sour cream, rice, pico de gallo, and cheese) * Now, this burrito was absolutely delicious. Yes, queso would have knocked it out of this world, but I personally believe this was better than the nachos, by far. Carne Asada Fries - $9.99 (same toppings as the super nachos) * Not bad. Again, I prefer queso on it and seasoned, thicker fries than string fries. Service was great with friendly people. I will be back again to try other items.

Delicious Taco Shop style Mexican. This little place is open til midnight so great for late night cravings. Expect a line at night. Drive thru only, and it's tight for larger vehicles.

I was not impressed. We waited for 30 which I'm okay with that IF the food was worth it. The steak was bland and tough. I could not eat all three tacos the regular taco was greasy. I try to support all new locations in the area scale 1-5 five the highest 1.5 only because it's a small business. Don't let the long line fool you it's not it.

Often it's the little hole in the wall, ofc the grid places that are the best. Great quick Mexican food at reasonable prices. I get 5 street tacos stuffed to the gills for around $10! Everything I've had so far has been excellent. Only downside is the secret is out and the line is often halfway down the street! Highly recommend

I wanted to try this place because it looked really good! Well, after waiting in line for over an hour which is fine. Everyone is eager to try it no problem. However, this was my experience. My order - California burrito, carne asada burrito, carnitas burrito and a super nachos with chicken. 1. The person taking orders at the window asked if we had cash. We didn't and she acted like we were inconveniencing her. 2. When we pulled around to the 2nd window to get our food, they told us that they were out of carnitas after we had ordered and paid. 3. The nachos were not nachos. They were chips with creama and guacamole. No cheese, no chicken. 4. The carne asada in the burritos was extremely tough 5. We were never told a total amount for our food and a receipt was never provided.

Line was pretty long, but only waited 20 minutes.

Considering that Saginaw is lacking in the Mexican food department, I'm very excited this place is open. Most importantly for us with food is freshness, and this place delivered on that side. The 3 rolled tacos special is only $0.30 less than getting the 5 rolled tacos special so we got that. We also got asada tortas. All in all the food was good, definitely better with the hot sauces (provided). Chips were extra but for sure would recommend getting them because they are fresh made and delicious. The line was long, but we were only there for 20 minutes and considering I've sat for 45 minutes in the Whataburger line for absolute crap, 20 minutes was a dream for fresh food like this. Nothing was forgotten, it was $23, and it was easily enough to feed 2-3 people, possibly 4 if you have kids and share.

Asada Chimichanga w/ Rice & Beans

Presentation is definitely better than flavor, which there is none. The tortillas are generic store purchased (I saw them take out of the bag through the window myself). My wife had asada tacos on flour with cilantro and cheese . They were dry and the salsa verde, overly hot with no flavor or punch to follow. My chimichanga gave the name itself embarrassment. The can side of refried beans and boiled rice were also blah. All in all, drive a little further for better quality. The customer service was great however!

Carne asada fries are incredible. The drive thru is the smallest thing I've ever experienced. It crosses over into the donut shop drive thru so you need to be careful and there isn't enough space to turn around to the 2nd window so you will need to reverse and then pull up. I tried going several times but the hours are inconsistent so even though it says open at 8am - I have yet to see them open that early. Overall great food but it will be a long line and take 45mins to get what you want. Hopefully they move to a new location with better access for drive thru and walk up in future!

Been coming here for years very disappointed they cut the asada portion and literally half. Same price though. Never coming back again.

My wife stopped by today (Sunday) to try a few items after I suggested from reading prior reviews. Unfortunately for her she said that there was like 15 cars in front of her so the order took a while. The secret is out now I guess. We ordered 2 Asada Fries and 3 Al Pastor tacos. The food was awesome and my son devoured the tacos in minutes. Reminded us of the street tacos in Vegas at Roberto's (every gas station in Vegas). I'm happy this little place is getting business after just opening. Their prices are extremely fair for the volume of food and it tastes really good. They definitely don't skimp on the meat and that's hard to find anywhere these days. Looking forward to going back and trying some new items. Keep up the good work!!

Second time coming. Customer service was poor. Got somebody else's order on top of our own. Got three chicken tacos and a quesadilla.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.
