Slowly loving this place again. They've stepped up their game. The servers are great, the food is wonderful, and it's festive for the ambiance. Prepare for LONGGGG waits Thurs-Sunday at dinner time and once you're at the table about an hour for food. They are BUSY so bring your patience.

Lupe is another outstanding Texmex restaurant in DFW with fun and colorful atmosphere. With the dish ware so pretty, you can tell that this meal will be full of vibrant flavors. At this visit, we shared a Carne Asada and order of flan. All that on top of the generous serving of never ending chips and salsa, this meal is perfect for two people.

After Graduation we decided to stop at Lupe's as our other plans fell through. With no reservations and 15 of us they were able to get us seated within 20 minutes. AH Mazin'. Our Waitress was fantastic providing just the right amount of attention, all our meals were perfect served together and plenty hot. Compliments too the chefs! The food itself was really good at a reasonable price, the beer was cold and the drinks finished the meal nicely The place was hopping with after graduation groups coming and going very celebratory atmosphere many happy folks. Good Meal, Good Drinks, and Great Service.

We love Lupe's. Come for the fajitas, stay for the charro beans. Lunch specials are very reasonable and portions are just right. Love the chips & beans & salsa service. And this place is huge, so there was no wait at lunch. Can be packed at dinner, though. Plenty of parking around the restaurant.

Forgot to take a pic BEFORE destroying the chips and queso. The bowl is huge. Burrito was great. It was juicy vs some other places I've been to where The burrito was dry on the inside. This place has very nice patio seating. The service was good. I did order a lunch portion and was initially charged the dinner price, but the waitress got the price fixed without hesitation.

Loved this place! The Mexican food was fantastic, the service was warm and friendly, and the plates were absolutely gorgeous. Our waitress joked that guests often want to take them home, and when we looked them up online, we found out the manufacturer sells each one for about $40!

Arrived an hour before closing. Didn't get food until closing the me. Ordered guacamole and it never came, by the time the server came back around I cancelled it but he still gave it to me on the house for the long wait. A table of four ordered after me and got there food before me, party of 2. So let's say I'm not impressed with the service. Not sure why it would take so long but I probably will not be back. BTW, I'm writing my review while waiting.

You can genuinely taste the freshness and care in every dish--and their specialty is that everything is made in-house, which in this day and age feels like a real treat. The chicken parmesan was a standout--tender, flavorful chicken with a light, crisp breading, topped with a bright, clearly house-made sauce. The lobster ravioli was excellent. The pasta was delicate, and the lobster filling was perfectly cooked, sweet, and fresh--easily one of the highlights of the meal. The Caesar salad was light and refreshing, not overloaded with dressing (which I appreciated). Bonus points for accommodating my request for extra anchovies. I do wish the dressing leaned a bit more into bold anchovy and garlic flavors, but still very enjoyable. The lasagna was another strong dish--rich and comforting with an authentic blend of pork, beef, and veal, layered with house-made pasta, sauce, and creamy cheese. The only miss for me was the clam spaghetti. While the ingredients were clearly fresh, it lacked the depth and richness you'd expect--more butter, wine, and clam-forward flavor would have really brought it together. THE SERVICE: Attentive, accommodating, and welcoming throughout the meal. Requests were handled easily, and the staff struck a great balance between being present and not overbearing. THE AMBIANCE: Lively, warm, and inviting. It has that energetic Italian dining feel without being overwhelming--great for both a casual night out or a more intentional dining experience. Bottom line: Fresh, house-made Italian dishes done right--with that rare, from-scratch approach that really sets them apart. Definitely a spot worth returning to.

We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious! Very nice place for a date night, if you like sushi you won't be disappointed!

The explanation given that the system "couldn't handle the wind" is deeply concerning. If awnings advertised and installed for cold weather cannot be safely used in windy conditions, that is a serious operational and safety issue that should be addressed before guests are seated underneath them. Instead, customers were left exposed, freezing, and ignored. What made this worse was not the weather, but the complete lack of accountability or alternative solutions. No effort to relocate guests, no escalation to management, just repeated refusal. This reflects poor planning and even worse customer care. Management should take this seriously. I would expect someone to reach out, because this experience alone is enough to keep us and others from returning.

The staff was amazing (specifically Iberia and Milosh) who made the experience above and beyond. The vibe was intentional, and for once, no one at the table was half-present and half-scrolling. 10/10 would willingly give up my phone again... which is something I never thought I'd say.

That's on us. However, we still couldn't find any mention of it on the website or through Google reservations. I was eventually able to locate something via AI, though I'm not sure where it sourced the information. Even then, the guidance wasn't very clear beyond jackets being required downstairs for men; the rest felt open to interpretation. My girlfriend's high school sophomore daughter and her friend were clearly not within Caterina's standards. The manager was initially reluctant but ultimately agreed to seat us upstairs, which we appreciated. We respected his decision either way. My impression is that, with it being 88 degrees and humid, the weekend crowds in the Stockyards may have overwhelmed the staff, with many frustrated customers being turned away. It was evident by 6:00 p.m. that the staff and manager were already frustrated--we likely added to that, and then Megan and A.J.'s group came in right after us. Again, our fault. I do hope the manager's attitude isn't meant to reflect a New York/Paris-style "rude" persona implemented by Tim Love. If that's the case, that's his prerogative--perhaps he believes that kind of edge enhances the fine dining experience. Otherwise, I'd suggest a more Texas-style approach: we don't do rude here; we do "bless your heart" without offending anyone. There's no need to offend for the sake of it. As for the food and overall dining experience, it was good. In most places around DFW, if this were simply positioned as solid Italian food at around $40 per person, it would likely receive consistently strong reviews. However, Caterina carries higher expectations given Tim Love's reputation--this feels like an attempt to "level up," and that raises the bar. The meal started strong with the sausage and peppers, wild mushrooms, and caprese. The ravioli, however, tasted more like Chef Boyardee. The roasted bass was okay. The jumbo shrimp was very good, though that's a dish that's hard to get wrong. The veal parm was average. I'd suggest trying the branzino at Truluck's (even as a chain, it sets a higher standard). The potato frico was outstanding. Overall, the main courses seemed to be where expectations were highest--and where the most disappointment occurred. The atmosphere is quite cramped, with tables very close together and frequent brushing past from staff and guests. It feels more like a communal dining experience, even when neighboring tables are trying to enjoy a more intimate moment. Not a major issue, but worth noting. Even with a 6:00 p.m. seating--before the peak 7:00 p.m. crowd--the meal lasted about two hours at a slow pace. I imagine later seatings experienced even longer durations, which may appeal more to a European-style dining pace. We actually liked the no-phone policy, though it might be worth allowing brief access for photos after the main courses are served. I suspect they would accommodate that if asked. Lastly, Ebony (I hope I got her name right) was exceptional--truly one of the best servers I've experienced anywhere in the world. She operates at an A+ level: engaging, personable, humorous, and highly efficient.

First, major credit to Avery and Nancy, who were incredibly kind and patient considering we arrived fairly close to the end of lunch service before the restaurant closed for its afternoon break. We never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. I started lunch by ordering another cocktail (which may or may not have had me buzzing a little by this point) along with the 12 oz. prime rib steak served with buttery herb mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and chimichurri sauce. I'll admit, the steak was thinner than I expected for Texas (I sort of anticipated a Flintstones-sized slab of beef) but honestly? It was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes were rich and even the vegetables were great! My dining companions ordered a bit lighter fare, I believe a salad and grilled cheese, but I was far too focused on my steak situation to pay close attention. I left absolutely stuffed and very, very, very happy about it. The atmosphere here is upscale without feeling pretentious. Between the Western inspired decor and the relaxed energy of the Stockyards area, it feels welcoming. Also worth noting: apparently bachelorette parties featuring men in cow-print overalls are welcome here too, so truly something for everyone.
