We came in just before closing. It didn't matter the waitress greeted us with a smile. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and nice. The tacos pf pastor lacked salt but overall flavor was good. The homemade corn tortillas were amazing. I could eat a dozen of them. The guarache was relishes thin with beans chorizo cheese sour cream lettuce and with the green salsa to top it off...excellent

Authentic tacos near Target in Watauga. I had the Cactus Tacos and they were good. If you are looking for authentic down home Tacos with a variety of meat options, this is the place.

So we've been on a Mexican food kick here lately. Honestly, my wife has been but like to keep her happy. This is just around the corner from us and we liked the consistent good reviews. Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon and the inside is really so much nicer than the outside. It has the feel of a mom n pop place and vibrant colors. Not to mention it was very clean when we walked in. That's a big plus + The staff here is awesome!!! They don't speak great English but we were able to order fairly easy. The menu is mostly Spanish with just enough English to order. Did I mention the staff??? They truly are very nice and friendly!! They brought some awesome chips out first. Loved that they were warm too. Good levels of spicy in their salsas. I got three tacos with pork, carne and chicken. They were scrumptious! Truly! The beans and rice were good too but the star of the show was the tacos. So much flavor and spice! My wife got the gorditas. She loved them. Equally impressive flavors. All this and it wasn't expensive either.

Authentic tacos, tortilla is amazing, homemade, the chip and dip is delicious!! Salsa super spicy, just the way I like it. The tacos were great, especially the al pastor, super fresh great pineapple flavor. Quesadilla is huge and cheesy. Very different, the homemade tortilla made it taste like pupusa. Please come try no regert, please stay alive

Super delish tacos and gorditas. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned and love all their sauces and salsas too. Will be back.

Ok so a few things. When I saw the reviews I was interested, especially since I wanted a good carne asada burro. The fresh tortillas helped! So they don't have a traditional carne asada burro (meat, pico, guac).. the meat was steak, and in the burrito was rice, beans, cheese, LETTUCE, tomatoes. At this point I was already there so I said "let's try it". Now one concern was what they considered a carne asada burrito, the second was the lettuce. I have a think about lettuce being somewhere I cannot see it and take it off my food. One concern is the freshness of the lettuce, what if it goes bad?... anywho.. back on track. The burrito was huge, the meat was good along with the beans and rice. However, the lettuce, tomatoes etc.. not so much. I expected more authentic Mexican cuisine. But it seemed like I got Chipotle. The tortilla was good!

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. this place is located right next to staples in the super target plaza. We ended up getting a torta and one quesadilla. They will give you chips along with 4 different types of salsas. My favorite one was the more milder green sauce. it went well with everything. The red and the other green sauce that has a more viscous texture were a bit spicy for me. The torta was huge, the picture below only shows 1/2 of it. I wasn't able to finish it and had to bring it home. We finished the quesadilla, and what made me laugh was that on the menu it mentioned that it came with a small side salad. But in the picture, you can see its simply tomato and lettuce with mexican sour cream. lol I don't know if it was us or the language barrier, but it was difficult to get a cup of water. our waitress kept saying glass bottle, which i assumed would imply buying a water bottle, but we kept insisting regular water would be fine.

Carnitas taco with onions and cilantro so you can add your own.

The thin, soft, freshly made tortillas stole the show. Likely the best we have had. The shrimp taco had a nice amount of shrimp. The tamale was just ok. The carnitas taco was good but the pastor was hands down our favorite. The meat eas tender and the contrast with the pineapple was very good. The salsa and chips were good. The salsa was unique. A nice lunch spot with a vast menu. It was quiet when we were in for lunch. It was very clean and service was prompt.

Found a gem next to the Nail Salon today, we noticed they had just opened and decided to give it a go. So glad we did wasn't crowded at all which I hope changes soon, 12 or so tables available to sit with authentic Mexican menu which didn't disappoint Chivo available daily an Menudo on Sundays. The wife had Al pastor & Tripe tacos and I went with the Chivo tacos with carnitas gordita. The Homemade masa tortillas were spot on and we washed it all down with hibiscus water.Service was friendly and pleasant. This was a pleasant surprise for us and will be a definite go to in future. The price was reasonable and the value exceeded expectations. Only drawback was no dessert she did mention it would added soon. Appetizer was chips and salsa. Little skipy on the chips. 3 salsas Red, 2 Greens 1 Green a little spicy others provided flavor Ciltrano, Onion , and Lime served with meal. They have another location in Lewisville glad they expanded to this area.

Vaquero's is what they really eat. These kinds of tortillas can only be made by the old grandmother's in Mexico, who have never been to the US, and never plan on going. These tortillas here are obviously grown in house on a Metate (ok, I had to look that up), And the meats taste like they are marinated for days, in order to taste like this. My favorite is the Alambre Burrito. If you accidentally order something else in addition to the Burrito, you will probably be taking it home. And when you take home your Taco's, don't forget to take the chips with you. The chips are also obviously made in house, and fried in Lard before coming to every table.

Drinks are a little strange, only a couple options come in cups (unsweet tea, juices) and the test are single serving plastic bottles like you'd get from a store. I've seen this at other places, not a knock on the place, just an observation. Food was delivered quickly and it was super hot (freshly made), which I liked. My burrito was good, the bacon was crisp, not burnt, and the fries and steak were hot. I wish there was more cheese and sour cream in the LARGE burrito, but otherwise it was really good. The surf & turf was good as well. They have a salsa bar with various salsa options you can try/add to your meal. They are spicy and really good!! I think we'll be back to try the fajitas (huge plate!) and some of the other burrito options. They serve breakfast too, so would like to try that as well.

I got catering from here for a party of 25 and everything was so so SO good. And I used all the leftover beans and salsa (and sides of shredded cheese) to make with eggs for a week. And THAT was so delicious I started stopping in to get quarts of beans just for the purpose. On the other hand. The quarts of beans and rice are $15 each. Um. That's kind of ridiculous. I finally forced myself to break away from them because that's just too much. And on the other OTHER hand... after the catering thing, I was so enamored with the fajitas, I ordered the plates for dinner delivery a couple of times for me and my husband and... you guys. The menu says Fajiitas for 2 is 1 lb of fajitas. Wrong. The first time I got them I weighed out the meat and it came to 10-5/8 oz. I actually complained and the restaurant gave me a gift card as an apology. So I decided to order again. Omg. See photo. 9-1/8 ounces of meat for 2 people. Are you kidding me?? When I complained again, the manager tried to tell me that 1 lb was precooked weight. No. Even if that were true, beef yield across all cuts is 75-80%. It would be more than 9-1/8 ounces. But it shouldn't even be precooked weight. Everywhere else I order fajitas where they say "1 lb" I actually get 1 lb. So why Fresco's thinks it can get away with this utter nonsense - twice - and probably on a daily basis with other customers, is beyond me. I hate that Fresco's has such great food. Because I can't bring myself to go back and pay for two plates just to have enough meat for my husband and I to have a proper meal.
