Frezko has quickly become my favorite taco spot in the area. My favorites are the barbacoa and birria. It's easier to get there now that they've completed the construction at the intersection of N. Tarrant and Riverside. There's ample parking. The restaurant itself is not big but not small. There's 3 or 4 tables and counter top seating. I've ordered in and ordered takeout and have consistently received good service. The food has always tasted fresh and delicious. Will continue to be one of my go-to lunch or take out spots. read more

I decided to stop by this location yesterday cause I wanted to order some shrimp and fish taco tacos for me and my friends. I ordered two Baja fish tacos one that was fully loaded, one that only had lettuce, pico, and one that was just lettuce only. I ordered two shrimp tacos again one fully loaded and one with just lettuce. I also ordered a side of refried beans and rice. M the first disappointment was the lack of Customer Service not one person acknowledged the two or three of us that walked in for a good five minutes not even a hello. M one person walked out and the other person was trying to get some questions answered about the menu and I don't know if they weren't able to give him the answers he was looking for it, but he walked out I placed my order to go and it took nearly 15 minutes. During this time, there was one pick up order so I'm not sure why it was taking so long and there were like five or six people in the kitchen. When I finally got my order, I brought it home and when we opened it, we noticed that there is a very chemical smelling odor to the fish and the shrimp tacos, and the two that I had specifically ordered with just lettuce came fully loaded so one of my friends wasn't able to eat anything which was probably lucky for them because the two of us that were able to eat them got food poisoning. My one friend got sick within a couple of hours of eating and I got sick not long after that and was sick pretty much all night. To pay nearly $40 for the amount of food we order and to be that ill was not the best experience. I ordered: à la carte barbacoa street tacos fully loaded (all the toppings), à la carte carne asada street tacos fully loaded, and an order of Birria tacos. The good: -All the tacos were tasty. If you stop and grab your own fresh produce (cilantro, white onion, and lime) then you will enjoy them. -The people are friendly. The needs work: - I ordered a lot of tacos and I was given 0 limes. This should be a crime. Atleast a misdemeanor, especially after repeated violations! -Birria tacos consume is a step or 2 above brown water these days: very thin with no flavor. -The onions and cilantro on the side are not fresh. It's like the produce is tired after sitting out a day or two. - I purposely ordered à la carte tacos (they are $3.50 per taco), but when I get my bill I was charged for 1 à la carte taco and a half order of tacos. The half order is 2 for $8. I told the cashier at the window what I ordered and she said "it's basically the same thing", I said no, it's not, I explained the difference and then she asked if I wanted her to ring it up again. I said no and she offered me some beans which come in the half order of tacos. Yikes, just give a girl what she ordered next time. - Drive thru speaker was not working properly. Our 1st visit to Frezko's, Keila took our orders and was pleasant we decided on the 2 and 3 taco combos Carnitas, Carne Asada, Barboca with elote corn, chips, and queso fresco and choco flan to finish the meal. This tacos were packed full and the flavorful, the protein was very good and served hot and greasy the chips and queso was delicious, the corn elote missed the mark. What really stood out though was the cleanliness of the place, tables were dirty, the salsa station and refreshment counter was sticky from drinks. Really took away from the experience. They had steady traffic and the setup is designed more it seems for food delivery or pickup as we watched a steady flow come and go while there. Just not a good spot to eat, first of all, the place is extremely expensive, it's $8 for 3 tacos, not including rice and beans, then the food, it was extremely bland, had no flavor whatsoever, had to drown it in hot sauce to be able to hack it down, i understand traditional mexican food is bland, but that was bad, it was like the seasoned it with sawdust, the food was already cold when we got it, our queso had chunks in it because it was so cold, service was decent tho we used the screen, it thru us off completely because no one was taking orders, the inside was cool tho i will say but overall just not worth it read more

This review is for takeout. The service here was nonexistent. I came in to pick up my order, and no one greeted me. The employees just looked at me while I stood at the counter. Eventually, someone came up and asked if I needed help. Of course I did...I was clearly there for a reason. Customer service seems to be lacking these days. Taco spot for a quick meal while you get an oil change next door. We had Birria tacos and my son got a side of beans. Beans were plain but not bad. The tacos were stuffed full of meat and cheese. Super good, hot and filling. The consommé was more like a broth not much flavor. Loud music was a bit distracting for such a small place. Ok after some evening grocery shopping we were determined to have some good food to end the night. I we just left the grocery store but we were both craving some Birra Tacos and queso. So Frezko it is said our stomachs. Our sever Edwin was definitely a master of the menu. The vibe is like walking into your aunties kitchen and uncle playing old school jams in the garage. We absolutely love this place... It's up there for top taco in all of DFW for me! There's only one other place that competes, but we continue to eat away at their entire menu and love it all. The thing about this place is that each of their meat options are delectable, none or less good than the other. They also allow you to get all four meats on each of the dishes and topping wise you can fully load it up as well. We love all of their tacos, Birria tacos, HUGE quesadillas, really big burritos, beans, salsas and guacamole. They have hands-down the best queso, and the one I've been searching for. I don't generally lean burrito at these places,, but here they have the best burrito in all of the land. The only area for improvement would be Customer Service. We've been here about six times now and four of those times they made me wait for a really long time for my pick up order or forgot about my order completely. read more

Went here seeing high reviews on Google reviews and it was decent but not over the top tacos. I tried the $12 for 4 tacos- tried all four flavors and it was very mid. Not spicy or anything.. even though it was fully loaded tacos for some reason it was still lacking the kick of street tacos. We really wanted to love this place because the food is genuinely delicious. We've been three times, and each visit involved a long wait just to be acknowledged at the counter. After our third visit I became extremely sick and had to go to urgent care the next day with food poisoning. I do appreciate that the owner responded quickly and issued a refund when I reached out. I'm sharing my real experience because I hope the front counter service and food handling improve. As a parent, I'm just very relieved it was me and not my toddler who got sick. read more

I had been wanting to try this place for some time and I finally made it happen. Not a bad place. The staff was very friendly but the place is kinda small so it feels like the seating area is wrong. Could just be me but seating felt weird granted it was due to a lack of space so not judging on that. The food menu was quite extensive with lots of options so that's a plus. I was surprised to get charros beans delivered to my table while I was waiting for my food then another cup of beans came with my order. The food itself had lots of toppings and extras but that also made all the flavors blend into one. The meat felt under seasoned and a bit dry. All in all, not a bad place but definitely did not stand out as a great place. I would return if I was in the area and needed a quick bite but I would not go out of my way to get here. So this place has gone down hill which is a bummer because the food is good. The staff doesn't want to be there, I have never seen them smile, and they practically throw your food at you as they walk away. They are also incredibly slow. I went today and ordered two burritos and it took 30 minutes. I definitely will not be going as often as we use to. I've been coming here for years and have always loved the fresh chips they use for their loaded nachos! The serving is so big and you can choose more than one meat. Throughout the years the quality has changed some but not too much. Sometimes the quesadilla can be a little too oily or the asada fries ccould be a little more crispy but still, we keep coming back because ththese things can always be asked to be adjusted. I've come here a few times and the food has been pretty good! The people are usually friendly and quick. I usually get the combo #2 with the carne asada tacos. Even though the food is good, they have gotten my order wrong each time I've been there. My elote did not have any toppings that it should've. Definitely eat in if you can to avoid order mistakes. Having never been to a Frezko, I wanted to order a few different item to experience them all. I ordered the tortillas and queso, the pollo nachos, and a shrimp Baja taco. My husband had all the tacos. The fresh homemade tortillas are absolute heaven!! The queso is hands down on of the best. The nachos. Just what I needed. The chips are homemade and the portion is extremely generous. The chicken is flavorful with every bite being an amazing flavor bomb. I was too busy stuffing my face to notice I didn't get my shrimp taco. I went up and asked and they brought the receipt to show the shrimp taco was not rung up. I was so full I said to not worry about it. I was already full! She came over a little bit and said he wants to make it for you any way. I said no not to worry about it but they insisted. OMG. I should've left as soon as I walked in based on the smell. It was musty and just smelled dirty, but I overlooked it. I later found out it came from the bathroom. They literally had a sign that said NOT to flush toilet paper. Like you had to throw it away. Who does that?! We got tacos and nachos. The flavor was pretty good. Small store front but the food was fresh and delicious. We came mid-afternoon on a weekday so we got served immediately. My kids love horchata and this place was given 5 stars on the horchata by both kids. The portions were perfect and a good value size/cost. Of the meats available for the street tacos our favorite was the barbacoa. The others were good too but the barbacoa was outstanding. Tender with such savory flavor. I am shocked about my experience tonight at Fresko. We ordered @7:34 and ended up getting our food @8:10PM, half hour later for such a disappointment. I didn't mind too much at first bc the food was always fast, hot, delicious! The birria tacos are usually so flavorful and have a nice crunch. Today they were so soggy and filled with just mouthfuls of cheese?? Not to mention they forgot the consume cup for my fiancé's birria tacos, and both our orders didn't come with the beans they usually give.. I have eaten here about 4 times before this experience and I never had anything negative to say, if anything I constantly recommended it to friends in the area. this place is more like 3.5 out of 5 stars. We walked in and ordered, and waited for like 10 minutes to get our food. I really like the decor inside, very eccentric. we ended up getting the chicano fries and the 4 tacos for 10 bucks. it also came with a small soup base, which was nice. The tacos came with your choice of flour or corn tortilla, and we got all four different types of meat. As for the chicano fries, we didn't eat the food there, so when we got home, the fries were a bit soggy from all the sauce. don't get me wrong, it was still very good! They also have elote in a cup, which i may have to try next time. I believe they'll give you some sauce to go, but if you ask for more than the maximum allowed, i think they charge? (at least that's what it says on doordash... extra sauce will incur additional fees) Inside the restaurant, they do have a small fridge for red/green sauce which looks like its all you can use. Going to give them 5 really it's like 4.5 so I have to round out . I been a couple times and enjoyed the food both times. I had the chicken quesadilla last time, and thought it was the best quesadilla I've ever had. And have been dreaming about going back but I get home from work so late it's hard to drive the extra distance since it's out of my way coming home. So my dings on them has been the small dinning area , the register operator was or should have still been training. Made a couple errors but it was easy to get them fixed. I was in the area and had a street taco craving and remembered this place. This was my first time at this location, but I'd been to the original location a couple times in Southlake before they closed and loved it so I was anticipating these tacos. Set up similar to the previous location, I came to the menu and noticed they have a lot more options than the Southlake location which I liked that but still decided on 4 street tacos, 1 chicken, 1 barbacoa, 1 al pastor and 1 carnitas, chips and guacamole and an horchata. I just knew these tacos would hit when I was driving home and the delicious smell filled my car. I was sipping on my horchata on the way home and it was perfect, not heavy on the cinnamon so good. My tacos looked delicious, but sadly they were void of flavor and overly greasy. The carnitas was the most flavorful, but still lacking in seasoning. Hoping the salsa and limes would help, I dunked these tacos into the green and red salsa which unfortunately didn't help. The chips were surprisingly very good; thicker than the average chip, perfectly salty they went great with the guac which was one if not the best guac I've had out. I may come back and get something else, because I don't want to write them off completely but I wasn't impressed this time around. read more
