We love Taco Casa half for years. They're really big in the metroplex. Anyway, we went over there on Sunday night, November 2 and lo and behold. The lights are off. Everything looked like they were shut down permanently, but someone said that they are remodeling or redoing some stuff due to black mold. Where should I start, maybe I shouldn't be as disappointed as I am, especially since the parking lot is pitch black and no one cares to answer the phone. It says "Taco Ca Ca", exactly right... ca ca. I really don't get why this place has three stars. It's fast food so I obviously don't expect it to be a Michelin star place, but the food was great and the service was probably even better! The drive thru was packed when we went in and even though the workers were hustling in the back making the food, they still greeted us promptly. It took a minute or so for them to take our order, but only because they were busy making other orders. Our food came out very quickly regardless of how busy they were with to go orders. i feel like I was robbed! I ordered a Taco Salad with no shell or beans and this is what I got. It is 1/4 size of the normal salad container. They didn't include the salsa which serves as the dressing. Basically I got a Super Taco without the shell. This is ridiculous. This Taco Casa is very inconsistent. One day it's amazing, then way greasy meat, then the Meat temperature is way too hot to eat and while you wait for it to cool, your shell disintegrates . Sometimes the refried beans have little burnt pieces mixed in. Other locations have been more consistent. I'm snoozing them for 30 days I'll be in Bryan next time for a better experience. read more

Walked in and noticed water dripping from the ceiling. I looked up and noticed rusted air vents with water leaking from them. The ceiling was swollen and cracked. I wanted to love this place, it was recommended by a friend. I live & work on barker cypress, so I come a lot. Service was amazing the first couple of times, it's gone downhill since then. They gave me cold uncooked food & when I called the manager all that he said was "yea our steamer went out". lol so the workers were well aware that the steamer didn't work & still gave me ice cold uncooked food. The service is horrible, mostly teenagers with horrible attitudes. The time before that I sat in the drive though for five minutes & once the finally came on they said "oh my headset wasn't charged". I love Taco Casa and drove from The Heights to this location! My hometown has 2 Taco Casa locations and we were craving it and it was worth the drive. This is honestly the nicest location I've been to, very pristine, they put a lot of effort into this location. Our food was great, we had nachos, soft tacos, a chilada, a bean and cheese burrito, a super burrito, and their famous sweet tea....some of this was to go so we could enjoy leftovers later!! I like the look of this restaurant and the location. Thru have outdoor seating. You can't miss it driving down Barker Cypress. I didn't go inside. The double drive-thru line had several cars when we arrived but service was fast. The menu is small but covers all bases. Tacos, taco by the dozens, burritos, nachos and tostada's. They sell tea by the gallon in this big bag and have 4 different sizes cups. Prices are cheaper than Taco Bell. All calories are listed. I ordered a a SuperbTostada, small sweet tea and a medium sweet tea for less than $6. I wish they had more sauce options other than "hot" sauce. The size difference between a small and medium cup is very noticable. Instantly wished I got a medium also because the tea was bomb. Loved the aftertaste. Tostada was tasty too but there was too much cheese and black olives. The ground beef was really flavorful. I will come back to try the burrito and nachos. read more

Every single time I've been, I've waited anywhere between 10-35 minutes in the drive through line.
