Every Taco Casa I've been to asks when you order Nachos if you want the toppings on the side or on top. Unfortunately the manager at this location gives that responsibility to the customers who aren't getting paid to do such things. Not only did they assume the toppings on the side but I didn't get the toppings I wanted. Once I returned, unbothered, with a smile on my face, the manager proceeded to lay into me about the food cost that goes into correcting my incorrect order and questioning word for word what I said to the team member that took my order - I guess to see what my wrong doing, as the customer, in the situation was. I've worked in food service for 8 years and am very understanding. I've never experienced such unprofessional service - and this service was from the manager! Absolutely unacceptable, I nearly asked for a refund bc of the fuss she was making. I live less than a mile from this location and if I ever want taco casa again I will happily drive 8 miles to the Lewisville location so I never have to be subject to that manager who is incapable of assuming responsibility for her business. She ended the conversation with "this is the only time I will do this" well that's super convenient because I won't be back to any location for the foreseeable future. Very unfortunate, because I've only ever had amazing customer service from taco casa. She does not uphold the service that other Taco Casa locations and her own team members below her exude. She might as well had MISERABLE written on her forehead, because it was clear as day. I feel bad for the team members who have to work for her. I called up there to get her name, Samantha, on the clock during 3/21/2021 around 1-3pm. For the record, this was my first time returning messed up food to a fast food place and my first yelp post. The taco salad is so yummy! The shell wasn't greasy and it was perfectly crisp. The taco meat is fresh and the whole meal hit the spot! I also enjoy their Taco Lites and their hot sauce has a nice, spicy flavor. I'm very impressed with this place especially for a fast food type restaurant. It was very surprising to see a fast food restaurant with 4 stars, but I can understand why. They have great food and excellent service every time I go through the drive through. The prices are great for the amount of food you get and everything has always been tasty. I love their super tacos and the chilada. The black olives go very well and their hot sauce is delicious. Yes this is a fast food restaurant and yes they have packets of taco sauce. What makes this place good is that they stick with one basic item and do it well. That is to say ground beef. If you want chicken you won't find it here. A must have is their Super Taco. This thing is stuffed with all the fixings and they never skimp on cheese. I have found it impossible to eat one without toppings falling off onto my platter. When I'm looking for a fast food Taco this is where I go. If you get their regular taco you're cutting yourself short of the best they have to offer. My wife likes their nachos but I'm not a big fan of their queso. It's just not "cheesy" enough for me. Their refried beans however are on par with others. I've never had their Taco Lite but believe the name of it to be misleading. Instead of using a crisp, deep fried CORN tortilla they use a crisp, deep fried FLOUR tortilla. A fried flour tortilla has to have more calories than a corn one. read more

I love this place. The tacos always taste super fresh like they made it just for me, just as I ordered it. I ordered nachos to go and a when I got home I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting soggy nachos because I did not go straight home; instead they packaged everything separately so you could assemble your nachos at home. The sweet tea is perfect no to sweet or bitter. omg!! the food was greasy- greasy - greasy, I ordered 2 taco burgers (chili burgers) they charged me an additiona 78 cents each for cheese. When i got the burgers they were so soggy that I had to eat them with a fork. I also ordered 2 frijoles, just the order it self took a few minutes because 3 people did not know what frijoles were, even after I said BEANS - they kept trying to sell me something else. Dont worry about complaing to management - They dont care- that the service was poor or the food so greasy that it was really uneatable. Management excused the whole situation. For 2 burgers and 2 orders of frijoles i paid over 7.50. This place is amazing! I don't know what these negative people are talking about. They have quality tacos made fresh daily. $1 large teas. Fast and friendly staff. Even their bean burritos are legit. I think Taco Casa is better than Taco Bell, taco bueno, and del taco by a mile. Their hot sauce is perfect and they even have special green sauce for free if asked. I love coming to this taco casa, the GM is super friendly as is everyone on the staff. The other night she made great conversation with me as i was waiting on my food- just a super nice lady. Creating a welcoming environment! I like to get the childa with no meat + sour cream. I am not a vegetarian i just think it tastes better with out the meat personally. Every time I order they remind me that the beans do have meat in them. I am thankful and grateful they do this just in case I didn't eat meat at all. The place is always super clean. Nice people working there but there food is awful. In an area of many great fast food Mexican places all around, not sure why this place exists. It actually is worse than Taco Bell. I don't advocate fast food because doctors say I have what you might call a bit of a "weight problem" with that being said I don't frequent fast food joints. Taco Casa is great for one simple thing they offer a simple menu with simple choices. It appears they prepare the food now as they did in the past and if you compare it to Taco Bell it's easy to see and taste the difference. Please keep in mind this is not Gourmet food but for what it is they demolish their direct competition. Taco Casa actually puts grated cheese on their burritos, tacos and tostados not just a few tiny shreds of "cheese" and not watered down beans or beef that have no real flavor like their competition that spends all their money on clever advertising rather than food quality. Ugh. Okay, wait, it's not fair to give a one-word review. Let's go back to the beginning. There's a Taco Casa near my wife's workplace, and some of her coworkers go there on a regular basis for lunch. She hadn't had it, and nor had I, and so we decided that since there was one only a couple blocks from our apartment we absolutely should give it a go. I ordered some nachos, she ordered an enchilada. Neither was really all that impressive. Her "chilada" was a small, pathetic thing buried under a blanket of shredded cheese, while my nachos were...well, okay. They were crisp! Yay! All is not forgiven. The individual components for the nachos--the meat, the beans, etc--had apparently been picked up in an ice cream scoop and unceremoniously dumped, each in their own isolated corner of the chips, and the body of the chips covered with that yellow goo you find at movie theaters or convenience stores for "nacho cheese." It's also the kind of cheese that eventually soaks the chips and makes them significantly less rigid. The end result were chips that were difficult, if not wholly impossible, to gather a proper collection of condiments on. The individual flavors were somewhere between mediocre and something like acceptable (at least in low light), but when I'm presented with nachos with multiple toppings I want the option to enjoy more than one at a time, which this lazy presentation really didn't enable. It is *possible* that we got here on an off night or something, but with two unappetizing, unimpressive dishes, I don't intend to find out on my own. They do not get my recommendation. read more

This is hands down my favorite fast food taco joint. I come here almost exclusively for the crunchy tacos. They are loaded and taco c's hot sauce is awesome. Beware of this Taco Casa. On July 20th I picked up lunch consisting of an original taco, soft taco and a bean burrito. Within two hours I had horrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. As of today, I've had two doctor visits and I'm currently waiting on lab results to discover just what type of food borne bacteria I was infected with. Only writing this in hopes they would see it, I ordered 1 taco and when I pulled it out the bag it was upside down in the little wrap thingy and about 80% of my taco fell out all over my clothes! Then I looked at what was left and my shell was also cracked down the middle and there was hair on the meat! I had a sloppy hairy taco . I go here for lunch at least once a week, usually on Tue or Fri when they have specials. They changed their Tue special a few months back and now it is .99 tacos. On Fri, you can get Taco Salad or two chiladas for $5. Being a cheese lover, I like that they don't skimp at all on the shredded cheese on their tacos. Ingredients seem good and fresh. They use black olives in many of their menu items which I don't see very often, so that may be a plus for you (or a warning to ask them to hold them). They have a coupon calendar that interests me, but I haven't checked it out yet to see how valuable it is. They have a card that can be used for both gift card and rewards card. I started using it as rewards card, but it is more trouble than it's worth. After 10 trips, you get 10% off your next meal...works out to like 1% discount. It's also not easy to check when the 10% off will happen (in case you wanted to save the 10% for a party or something). I'm giving 5 stars relative to other fast food places. read more
