I randomly go to Taco Cabana but we came here for Margarita Day and it all went well. We were kindly welcomed in and the server explained and gave us order information. All servers was friendly. We got the steak bowl and it was good. The Chamoy Cherry Bomb margaritas are so good, they were good price today $1.50. The Strawberry Margarita pie was good. The outside and inside of this location is so nice looking and clean. Really like the servers here and plan to come back again. read more

This Taco Cabana is new just opened this year! Very clean sparking area that's shared! Near the Home Depot parking lot! The customer service was great! Very fast pace drive thru! I can say the food tastes as if it had no seasoning! I was able to eat the food because it was not old or anything! But it was warm not super hot and fresh. I also got a to go margarita! It was ok! It did turn to juice pretty quick. I can go back to this location for a second chance! I enjoyed exploring the menu. Go check them out guys! read more

This has to be one of my best experiences at Taco Cabana in a long time! The food was exceptional, the staff were friendly & the place was so clean! I had the 2 taco combo to go. My order was perfect, the food was delicious (not tiny soft tacos or greasy ground beef like I've had in the past), just awesome like they used to do. Even the queso was spot on! Order wasn't right, tried to correct at the window but worker didn't even try to listen. I bit to some sort of bitter black burnt bit that tasted like chemicals/cleaners and left a really bad taste in my mouth and caused me to feel sick all day. Taco Cabana has a new location near us in the neighborhood. The chain has been a favorite of ours since the early days as an ice house in San Antonio. We have been by a few times, including recently in the wake of Hurricane Beryl. They have a couple of limited time items that are worth trying. The best one is the loaded fries. Taco Cabana now has fries, and they are executed quite well. We've had them with steak fajitas and carne asada, and both are good. I expect this one will stay around because deep fat frying is a big investment. I have also tried the tortas--mine was carne asada. They are fine, I would get it again but it's not quite up there with the loaded fries. In the week following the hurricane Taco Cabana was one of the few places open, since it shares a pad with Home Depot (a critical business). We ordered on the app and picked it up. We had fajita nachos, a carne guisada torta, a sampler plate, a fajita quesadilla, and churros for dessert. I tested the fountain with a 7-up. Props to Taco Cabana for polite customer service in a stressful time, though by the time we got their food they were no longer slammed. The torta was described above. The sampler plate had lots of good things. The nachos are massive--over 2 pounds of food served in a medium pizza sized box. Our enjoyment of the food was negatively impacted by a couple of things. We didn't get the fajita quesadilla, and not getting what we order is a pet peeve of mine. There is no decent way to tear apart an order that size to check it. We also didn't get any of the salsas we asked for on the app. I know TC can do better. The churros were also disappointing, I would not get them again. They were very heavy and squishy in the middle, couldn't tell if it was a filling or they simply weren't done all the way through. Unless the batter was made incorrectly this isn't a quick fix. I'll get the sopapillas next time--they are not on the app menu but the store has them. The store is plain inside--white walls and no decoration. They serve alcohol (margaritas, not too bad) so one might think to hang out but not really. But the place has been clean. All in all, I'm glad we have one close by now. read more

Hands down the best Taco Cabana I've ever been to simply because of the friendly & attentive staff.

First I want to say they just opened may be a week or two ago. My first time in and I feel like they had way too many people behind the counter taking orders when they only had two registers. They hadn't restocked the soda bar with tops for the cups and their appeared to be a two managers having a conversation right at the plasticware counter that somewhat affected getting to the plasticware. Right now there seems to be an abundance of employees. I am guessing after a few months or so they may not have as many employees as things progress.The food was the usual, but I swear the portions have gotten smaller on the chicken fajita nachos. read more

Food was terrible I ordered a number 5 and it's supposed to be fajita chicken they gave me a different kind of chicken that felt like rubber and had a lot of fat and nerves and the chips were hard and stale like they prepare the bags of chips a day before and they got stale overnight just horrible food all together the only good were the sopapillas other than that I will never go back there. This review is in reference to the food only! I decided to stop for taco cabana I ate at this location once when they first opened up and the food was decent. I ordered a cabana bowl and a chicken fajita taco and it was horrible! Customer service was great! The food, horrible! The chicken was soft which made me think they are using chicken thighs and drumsticks, the meat had that fatty goo on some of the chopped up pieces and I noticed it on my taco as well. For $13 worth of food this definitely should've been way better food. I won't be returning. The food used to be really good but it doesn't work for me now. Customer service was on point read more

Haven't even gotten my food yet. The fan rotating over the recessed lighting is very bothersome. It's giving a club vibe. Then the fire alarm randomly screeching is awful. Service was not great. Walked in and was not greeted at all even though it has an open kitchen design. We were within eyesight and earshot of at least 4 employees and not one even attempted to greet us. They seemed too wrapped up in their own conversations to be bothered with customers. When we saw this establishment being built so close to home we thought we had found a new regular place to have a quick dinner. In the future this will be a pass for us. Definitely a pass for a dine in place. Just go through the drive thru and save yourself the hassle. read more
