    Oh yes !!! Tacos

I stopped by to grab a bite to eat. I really wanted to order Huevos a La Mexicana for breakfast but they didn't have it on their menu. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito with everything and it was pretty good. At first bite it reminded me of what King Taco burritos tasted like many years ago. The burrito was good but not the best I've had, this restaurant was busy.

Great tacos, burritos, beans and rice. Fresh avocado, peppers and cilantro. Everything from this place was tasty and flavorful. I like Tex-Mex, so I asked for flour tortilla and the guy thought I was an idiot asking for such thing.

Today was an unctuous lunch for my pre-health, college buddies & me at this Taco Boy =P. Before I'll let my feelings out for the food, I'll sorta quickly mention that it's in a small plaza w/ tacky blue benched seating, housing a few arcade games--including one where one of the prizes is a mini toy laser gun (Hey, it's based on observation!), an HDTV, free wifi, & the required salsa bar. Service, however, can be slow according to my friends' previous visits. At least the counter guy was cool b/c no language barrier was involved, & so it was very comfortable for me to speak English ^_^. And in terms of quality, you better not expect more than top-notch; simply put, it's a get-what-you-paid-for, cheap deal! Now on w/ the food...I got a regular Diet Coke & 3 street-sized tacos worth $5: one Carne Asada, one Carnitas, & one Lengua. 1st off, all were dreadfully greasy, but the 1st two were 2.5 star material =/: tender but not so flavorful, even w/ the pretty hot chili & the diced onions & cilantro on top. However, let me also mention that I was very reluctant in trying out the Lengua (Tongue) Taco for the 1st time ^_^. But b/c I trust my Hispanic friends who have eaten this even during childhood & b/c I heart Yelp, I went for it. And believe me, it's NOT game-y nor odd as I thought. This Lengua Taco was surprisingly super succulent: this meat was buttery-like & not at all rubbery nor chewy as opposed to other lengua tacos my friends have tried at other taco restaurants/stands. And finally I'll note about some of my friends' meals & the extras. The Carne Asada Torta, according to 1 friend, was delicious especially due to the toasty bun & mayo-seeped beef; the Al Pastor taco was incredibly spicy--by default; the Hashbrown was wonderfully crispy yet simultaneously so greasy; & the red salsa (not the one w/ seeds) from the salsa bar left my mouth quite singed for good several minutes. So I'd say head onto Taco Boy & munch on the delicious Lengua Taco--if you dare. Oh, I almost forgot the bonus: this taqueria does $1 Taco Tuesdays!!!

GREAT FOOD! Authentic Mexican food, great atmosphere, nice selection, humble workers, and great prices - tacos at this price are a must try! This will probably be your next taco Tuesday go to spot and the tacos are NOT small . Family owned business that has been around for 33 years. The owner is often in and a great guy who cares about his workers. This is a hidden gem that has 2 locations nearby each other to satisfy the amount of people enjoying their great food.

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I'll be coming here until the wheels fall off. EL RANCHITO ALL STARS!!! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

My favorite appetizer are the Molletes which are toasted bolillos with chorizo and bean spread topped with cheese and pico de gallo. My favorite plates are the Carne en su Jugo, which is pork in green chilli sauce, and the Albondigas beef meatball soup. The soup is plentiful and doesn't disappoint in flavor. The meatballs are tender and have a perfect flavor profile of herbs and spice. Honestly, nothing disappoints here. The Pollo in Mole is also delicious. The tortillas are fresh and hand made. The Pollo con Rajas is creamy, cheesy, flavorful and the chicken has always been juicy underneath all that sauce, cooked perfectly. I've also had the teak tacos and they're filling, tasty, and a perfectly compliment to anything you will order. The sides are usually rice and beans and they've always been perfect. The rice is soft and the beans are addicting. Javier is always warm and friendly, he does an amazing job with his restaurant. He tends to his patrons wonderfully and deserves all praise, as well as his staff. They compliment the small dining area and make you feel like you're eating at home or with family. I'll gladly continue to eat at Rajas con Crema every time I'm in town. Parking is street parking so it can be iffy. Thank you so much for the fantastic experience!
