Everything about this place was 5 stars! (On the "taco lunch shop" level.) Ilsia was our server/cashier and she was so very pleasant, helpful, and polite. We got burritos, and they were one of the best we've had from similar places in Suffolk. Prices were reasonable, and quality was off the hook! Just gave 2 stars but want to say the food is really fresh and good but other issues ruined the 5 stars. 1. Had 2 times in the last 2 months that they seemed to just randomly close. Great inconvenience when you drive there and they are closed. 2. Came at 7:45pm one time, told sorry I just turned everything off. Their menu AND their website states 9pm close. They actually close at 8pm. I just noticed, even here in Yelp it states 9pm close. 3. Went to get 5 different items, all with the same meat. Told, I'm sorry, I am out of that meat. If on a special menu I would understand but this is a regular menu meat option. 4. They have a Salsa Bar (Not Salsa, it's Sauce). They have 6 flavors in ketchup/mustard type squeeze bottles. They have no tops and last visit ALL were covered with fruit flies. DON'T USE THEM !!!! 5. Only once out of 6 visits was there someone at the counter to take an order. There could be only 1 person there waiting for food but you will have to wait till that order is done to order as no one checks the counter. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. Was visiting my hometown a couple of weeks ago and was recommended to try this place out. It's a bit tight when you walk in, but there's enough seating indoors and outdoors. Staff at the counter is very helpful with recommendations and help with the menu. They were cash-only when I visited, but they do have an ATM inside the building. I ended up going with the chicken fajitas while a friend ordered the steak and al pastor tacos. We both liked our choices, but I'd definitely say my fajitas were the stand-out dish. HUGE portion size with lots of fixings to customize your fajitas. I usually don't touch the rice provided with meals like this, but theirs was too good not to. This Taco spot is in a tiny corner behind the sushi spot on east main street. A lot of colors and a friendly greeting when you walk in the door. Keep in mind they only accept cash. The food tasted pretty good, except for the fact that it could have been a little bit warmer. They were out of street corn and pork. That made me kind of sad, lol! Love this place. Passed by after a long day of shipping and based on the name thought it would be a Tex-Méx kind of place. So glad I was wrong! The place is cute and cozy with one person taking care of it all in the front and someone amazing in the back taking care of our orders. we ordered the taco salad and the chimichanga. Both were delicious and crispy and they were able to accommodate my silly request of rice on the side. Rice was insanely fluffy and delicious and so were the chips. The meats were seasoned to perfection and everything has the perfect amount of cheese and additional ingredients. I can't wait to pretend I need to go to the mall, so I can stop here for another meal. Definitely recommend...and looks like they have many neighborhood regulars as everyone that Walked In was warmly welcomed by the one do-it-all person in the front. read more

Stopped in here after some time at the outlets, we drove past it at first because there is no storefront. If you see the sushi place Haiku from main street, the entrance to Taco Bout It is down the side of that building. Its not an alleyway or anything its a nice paved cut through with trees etc. to the back lot. In front of the the entrance of Taco Bout It they have colorful flags and Mexican flags hanging and a good number of outdoor tables to sit at. Inside its small but very colorful and clean. You order at the counter and they bring you your food on trays. All plates, cups and utensils are disposable which in this setting didn't bother us at all. No fountain drinks, you choose from a beverage case but they did give us cups with ice when we asked. Not certain on beer, wine and mixed drinks we didn't ask. We started with chips and salsa (not free) and paid extra for some queso. The chips are amazing as is the queso. Thick cut chips which I definitely think were made fresh. The queso was fresh too not that Velveeta cheese c*rap! My husband got two tacos (pork / chicken - americano style) and loved them. Our daughter got a cheese quesadilla - again fresh mix of cheese, I tried a piece and it was really good and came with chips. I ordered for myself the chicken chimichanga which also came with chips - it was huge (went home with half) The rice inside was so flavorful and creamy. Chicken seasoned well, and had beans and cheese stuffed in there too. The chef and the girl at the counter taking orders were both super nice. My only two comments would be their sour cream is seasoned with pepper I think, which threw me off. Also I'll read more closely about which meals come with chips and make the decision to order the chips with salsa as a starter next time based on that. Between the leftover chips from the starter, the chips with my meal and my daughters we went home with a whole box of chips. Now I just need to buy some really good salsa! read more

The place is supposed to be open till 9PM. At exactly 8:30pm (when the window sign still says "open") they locked the door as soon as they saw me parking. I noticed an employee rushing to the door...to lock it. I tried to knock to get attention of the same employee and he kept ignoring and did not look up. When he fianlly did--he just nodded sideways. My brother a friend and I went to the water park there n wanted to get something to eat before we headed home to the Bronx and Yonkers . We yelped good places and that came up thought it was cute name and nice decor . So when we got there we got greeted and asked if we can sit on the outside setting being we are still wet from the water park the woman said yes you can but have to come in and give the order so that right there was a turn off and red flag but being we saw the reviews I said ok we come and order app first then dinner si fired when she comes w the app she can take the orders boy was I wrong I had to go back and order so I'm guessing if you decide to sit outdoors you have to place your order inside when food came out I asked for sauces and stated they inside so again had to go in and get sauces even my own drinks we have to grab from fridge this pls e has potential but need to work on the service not right that the costumer has to get stuff that a a serviced should get again good amazing service sucks read more

Shrimp burrito with guacamole added and so flavorful, it came with homemade chips which were good. Altogether with my jarritos it was less than $20 and super yummy and fresh! I did takeout but next time I definitely need to dine in to check out their homemade sauce selection read more

Wow, this place had my friend and I in tears of joy rofl, the food was so so so delicious and savory. I had a steak quesadilla and my friends had a chorizo one and we also had an order of chicken fajitas. it was absolutely delicioso! I don't know how they make their sour cream so amazing but it was out of this world and their queso AMAZING!! and they don't give u some tiny little container it's like a .25 pound of it perhaps more. Everything was absolutely wonderful and the man who cooks has a wonderful character which also makes me want to speak highly about this place because it's getting rarer these days that people are actually friendly at restaurants.
