The TB in North Topeka is good, 3-4 starts. Top service and more presentable food. The person giving TB a 5 start rating is probably a manager at the Wanamaker store trying to save their job. The store on Wanamaker is a disaster. All their food is pre-made, yet you'll wait in line for 15-20-30 minutes. Crazy. Every food item looks like the next because of the way they throw & shake everything together. And Drive-thru? TB should require their workers spend a couple days working at Chick-fil-a so they learn how to handle a drive-thru. Drive-thru time at TB is often a 20 to 30 minute wait. And don't expect them to appreciate that you're spending your money there. Plus...tacos from any restaurant usually fall apart by the time you get them home. Not just TB. So, you have to eat them like a taco salad. BUT TB has traditionally had Double Decker or Double Stacked Tacos. Simply Tacos with a soft tortilla wrapped around the hard shell tortilla. Those arrive home and are eatable like a "real" taco. BUT...TB can't or won't leave them on the menu. Question is why? All the ingredients to make those tacos are in the store. Actually -1 out of 5, sadly that wasn't an option. When coming through the drive through I ordered 7 chicken chipotle melts and one taco. I opened the bag when I got home and only received 4 melts. I understand people forget things occasionally which is totally understandable. I called the store to see if I could come back and pick up the remainder of my food that was forgotten. The manager told me I would need to provide a reciept, to which I informed him I was never provided with one. His tone quickly then changed and told me that his employees never forget reciepts and that he could quote "look at the cameras". I understand that this is a business trying to make money, however this is over $3 worth of food that I had already paid for. I don't eat cheese which is a sin in the eyes of someone working at or dealing with Mexican food. Due to this I always need to double check my order, but some very few locations I don't need to do that. This is one of those very few. The staff here is oddly polite too. Sounds strange? Maybe other fast-food locations have caused me too dumb down my expectations of the people working there. The staff here are consistent in attitude and order accuracy. Both this & the Wanamaker location are absolute trash. Every single time I have gone (once a week/2weeks) they have fucked my order up. My girlfriend gets sick when she eats sour cream and so we order w/o it? They still put it on. Ask for rolled chicken tacos? Gives us two normal tacos instead. Want steak? Have ground beef instead. Cinnamon twists? Here's some nachos. Mind you, we order ONLINE to prevent shit like this from happening, but apparently it doesn't help. They're also incredibly slow; i've waited upwards of 40 minutes to get from the intercom to the window. It's always fun to pull up after nearly half an hour to see a handful of employees in the window dicking around while eyeing us. A shitty experience every fucking time.
