For a fast food chain they have pretty good food. We don't eat out a lot but when we do we go to Toco Bell sometimes.

Stopped on way back from Portland as Taco Bell is usually predictable. This Taco Bell is filthy. Will never go there again.

My husband and we're in Sutherland on the 29th of January and stopped by Huele a Tacos on advise…read morefrom a work friend of my husband, so we had high hopes. We ordered a pork tamale, a cheese tamale and a chicken tamale. Also we ordered a bowl of menudo, a burrito(that was the size of a (preemie baby) ridiculously big and not in a good way. and a chili relleno . We took it home to eat it and the bag was completely soaked in the relleno juice. So it was on everything. We received 3 chicken tamales not a pork or a cheese. The chili relleno was in like a red soup (that threw me off) and it was covered in big slimy onions and peppers and cheese my mom and I shared that , we both took one bite each and threw the rest away. The chicken tamale was good I wish I would have received the pork and cheese that I had ordered so I could have tried those as well. My husband said his burrito was decent nothing to write home about except how ridiculously big it was. So all in all it wasn't a great experience and we agreed we'd never go back. It wasn't busy so I don't know how he got our order wrong. I'm going to chuck it up to lack of care and I'm not sure how the Menudo went for my husband. He took it to work today. So he gave us a container of frozen menudo (not fresh) and my husband didn't take it to work because of that. So I heated it up when he got home and it was disgusting, it was tripe, (huge chunks of tripe)hamony and water down tomato sauce. No meat, no spices. I begged him not to eat it it looked so gross but he did because he paid for it I would be ashamed if I were them, selling that.

Fast, friendly service. Huge portions. The food arrived very hot. They have multiple salsa options…read more Their hot salsa is very hot for those that love spice. This is a great option for those passing through. It is close to I-5 and has lots of parking.

Oakland Tavern - Old School Fun Since the late 1800s…read more Stopped into the Oakland Tavern in Oakland, OR, and wow - what a blast! I think our bartender's name was Alicia (if so, she was fantastic - if not, whoever it was deserves a medal). Friendly, quick, and made the whole place feel like home. It's got some 49ers vibes going on, so you've been warned (or welcomed, depending on your team colors). This is an old-school bar - started in the late 1800s - but it's packed with life. Lots of colorful, interesting locals, and just an all-around great group of people to share a drink with. Didn't try the food, so no comment there - but the atmosphere alone was worth the stop. The kind of place you wish you could come back to every weekend. If you're anywhere near Oakland, OR, and in the mood for history, laughs, and a cold drink, this is your spot.

Ordered mine hot and it came out toasty but the veggies weren't hot which I appreciated so much! Warm sammy and crisp veggies! The only lady working had a full bar but still seemed very attentive to both regulars and bypassers at the bar and in booths! Good job girl! I also appreciated a classic dive bar feel but the Oakland Tavern was clean and welcoming with a diverse age range of people from 21-75!

Our booth was a little worn but very clean and comfortable. It was large enough to sit comfortably without getting table jammed and there was plenty of leg room. 24 hr breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is sturdy Truck Stop food in a pleasant setting. The menu was good for vegetarians as well. I had the patty melt and loaded tater tots. To be honest, I was surprised by the portions because I thought it looked small at first, but it must have been the plating because I left stuffed. The patty melt was a perfect combination with the grilled onions and toasted rye. The loaded tater tots? Holy cow, I had no idea they could be so crispy. They came drizzled with a melted cheddar and a dollop of ranch on top. An absolutely satisfying crunch and flavor. Easy access off I-5, this is a good roadside stop for when you need a travel break.

We were out at Cooper Creek Reservoir and stopped in the Apple Peddler Restaurant for lunch…read more We ordered a hot meatloaf sandwich and hot roast beef sandwich. They came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable or coleslaw. The hot roast beef had a good flavor only very thin slices of meat. The coleslaw was ok but had a lot of mayonnaise. The meatloaf had a ketchup flavor and the meat was mushy from extra filler. The veggie was corn and was watery. Service was good. The ambiance is nice and country. I would definitely come back and try something else. Something to note is they have a charge for using a credit card that we didn't know until after filling out the last page of the form (after adding tip, etc) on the credit card machine. They need to tell people so they can decide to use cash or debit instead.

JUST OFF THE FREEWAY, take exit 124, turn right, and they're in "THE LOT" on your left about 1/2 mile just after you cross the river. I hadn't eaten at The Bun Stuffer in over 3 years, and I remembered it as just okay. I'm kicking myself for all the times I drove past and didn't stop in. If there was a down side, I got a less than perfect slice of tomato, it was thin and all skin and I should have asked for extra onions, but that's on me.
