Crunchy Taco

If you are coming to this Taco Bell you better make sure you have at least 30 min to spare. I have spent as long as 45 min in the drive through line (only location anywhere near me; I regret it EVERY time). And, this is with no more than 5 cars ahead of me. The food is nauseating. If you thought Taco Bell messed your stomach up before, then you should stay far away from this location... it will be much worst than any other Taco Bell experience you have ever had. The service is NON existent. Everyone that uses this location has the same complaints. We thought it would get better after the renovations but that was clearly onlya cosmetic change.

Sorry I started to eat it out of hunger. But you can see that this is NOT the double chalupa.. despite the wrapping paper

It's a great fast food place but the wait is ridiculous. Always a line and everyone is slow.

We didn't even mind having to put in a second Uber eats order just because she put us at ease.

Great value, traditional flavors, solid portions. Very friendly staff. Will be back!read more

No matter who you are or where you're from, there's a strong chance that you're familiar with the…read moremeaning of "Taco Tuesday," which exists across the US, from Los Angeles to small-town Tennessee, from food trucks in the barrios to high-end restaurants in hipster haunts. For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own. Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or "The Little House Taqueria," we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading "Tacos Open" and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor. Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand. We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice the trompo--the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to "in the style of the shepherd." Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s. The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn't get enough. The portion was a healthy size. The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable--we can recommend this place.

I really wanted to like this place because of the good reviews it has, but I do want to be honest…read moreand share my experience. Service was okay. We waited over 30 minutes after ordering for our food. I ordered tacos al pastor, which I thought were delicious, but as you can kind of see on the red tray where the food came on, it was very greasy. Lime also didn't have any juice, and small avocado pieces that came with the nachos we also ordered were not ripe at all. They were hard and chewy :(. I also very, very much love green salsa, but by the time I was finishing up pouring it all over my last taco, I found hair. I understand these things happen + the avocado/lime may not necessarily be the restaurant's fault as maybe it isn't the right season for them, and I truly wanted to get over it, but I'd truly prefer no hair at all in my food. Not the best experience. I did end up finishing my tacos because I was starving, but my partner left more than half the nachos he ordered. I do wish the restaurant the best as the ambiance was nice and I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time, but definitely could use some work as it's little things that can make a difference. :( Thank you anyways!!!

I feel that the majority of Mexican spots have salsa verde (green sauce) that is always mild but this place had a kick and I loved it. Everything was solid for the snowy day that I stopped in and it was a very pleasant experience. Go support this place and enjoy!
