I haven't had Taco Bell in easily over a decade, at minimum, maybe even a decade and a half, and it's honestly not as bad as I remember. The menu has a expanded a lot since (I still think of the gordita as the new thing).
I got a value box for late night delivery and chose a Chalupa Supreme Beef, a Crunchy Taco Beef, beef burrito, nachos and cheese, and a Diet Pepsi (lol). They gave the option of sauce packets with each item, so I got one of each (mild, hot, and fire).
Other than the nachos and cheese, I only chose the beef because they were the only meat options, otherwise I would've liked to try chicken something. I might've tried the cheesy bean and rice burrito, but I was feeling nostalgic and wanted the original beef burrito. Yes, they were salty, but that's the best part about fast food, isn't it? My Chalupa Supreme was stale, but at that late at night, I wasn't too mad about it and could've used the air fryer to reheat if I really wanted to. The thing that was really too bad, though, was that the crunchy taco came standing up instead of on its side, so by the time I opened it up to eat, it was only a couple of minutes later when the middle of the taco got soggy and bottomed out.
I ended up with a ton of hot sauce packets that I didn't need, so definitely no need to order so many. I didn't find any of them very hot, but I liked the regular hot sauce best because I found it the most flavourful.
The value box was the best bang for your buck for sure. More food than I needed and also great for those who are indecisive because they want a little bit of everything, like me. read more
