Somehow someway is the worst possible Taco Bell in New York State. Insane waiting times, don't even bother.

Had the cheese nachos this time as well as our faves from past visits. House-made flour tortilla chips blanketed in Mexican cheeses, black beans, guacamole, pickled jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce and generous lashings of crema. Yes, the tomatoes were those pale imitation things and the lettuce is shredded iceberg, but it all worked, especially with the trio of house salsas. Was baby shark coming from a phone at the next booth over? Yes, but somehow it didn't matter, the food was so comforting. They bake Mexican pastries there too, and it seems like they've added pizza.

Most visits we've done take out, but recently we dined in and the dishes and had a great experience too. The front of house and back of house service hustles hard here. The steak dishes have always been a stand out. The tortas are wonderful. Try anything with the handmade tortillas. They're out of this world. Aguas Frescas are delicious and not overly sugary or powdery. And most recently, we had a seafood soup special that was divine. And while you dine or wait for take out, admire the wonderful artisan designs on the furniture!

My brother-in-law ordered the combo with mixed meats and seafood for one, and it was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and more than enough food. I ordered the fajitas; they were good, but next time I'd skip those and go straight for the nachos and the tostadas, which looked outstanding. Before we even finished scanning the menu, the owner brought out food for the baby on the house, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The drinks were excellent as well made and refreshing. Overall, great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for more of his amazing meals.

This place popped up just off our route and I'm so glad it did. Being from Texas, it's hard to find good Tex-Mex and Mexican food. El Sombrero fit the bill. Inside, it looks like any place we might go for Tex-Mex in Texas. Our waiter, Elias, was absolutely amazing! The top shelf margarita was truly top shelf. It was seriously one of the best I've had. One thing that sets this place apart from so many restaurants... The guy who owns it is a butcher. They have the most amazing cuts of meat and they know how to prepare them. I got the mixed fajitas, while my husband got the steak. The cuts of meat were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked in both our meals. I asked Elias to bring me the hottest hot sauce they have and what he brought me was so good that I wished I had some for home. I mentioned this to him and when he brought us the check, he brought me some to take home! What a sweetheart! I really wish this place was closer to home, but it's good enough to take a drive for periodically. We'll be back.

From the outside, it looked like a place that has been around for many years. It's not falling apart, but it definitely feels a bit outdated and like it hasn't been updated in a long time. When we walked in, it was almost empty. There was only one waiter and just one table for four or five people seated. No one else was there, so at first I thought, "uh oh, this might not be good." Surprisingly, the food was actually very good. I ordered the steak fajitas, and compared to many Mexican restaurants, they were using real pieces of meat instead of the cheap cuts you sometimes get. The meat was tender and flavorful. My companion ordered another Mexican dish with the same type of beef, and it was also good. So on the food side, it was a pleasant surprise. The service was fine, but very quiet and a bit dull. The waiter didn't have much energy, almost like he was tired or not very engaged. The place itself also lacked atmosphere. The typical slow Mexican music was playing, nothing lively, and the restaurant just felt empty and without much energy. In the end, the food was good and the service was okay, but the overall vibe felt flat. It's the kind of place you're glad you tried once, but it doesn't really make you excited to come back.

The tamales came out as a tamale roll with the shredded beef on top. Okay I get it, gives the chef more flexibility to serve up pork, chicken, and beef tamales. It's was very good, just a bit odd it wasn't stuffed. But the taste was there and it was tasty and delicious! Then I had the Chayote. First time but definitely not the last! This was Mexican vegetables filled with corn, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and chayote topped with cheese. A chayote is a tasty squash that is a cross between zucchini and cucumber! It's very good and done nicely. All the ingredients are fresh. The guacamole was freshly made and delicious! As was there fresh chips and salsa. Great job. The employees were all very nice also.
