Everything we ordered was good and hit the spot to continue the rest of our road trip! My only complaint at first was giving us the wrong drink which was a regular Baja Blast, but the sweet girl at the window told us to keep it and gave us the correct drink as well. That's good customer service! I can't comment on the ambiance because it was all in the drive thru, but staff were friendly when we got to the window. This Taco Bell straight up sucks. Almost every time I go here I wish I hadn't. More than 50% of the time my order is screwed up. Most of the time, the mistake is something that could have been avoided if the employees simply took the time to actually read their pickup orders. For example 3 or 4 times I ordered the Doritos Locos cheesy Gordita crunch, and got a regular taco shell instead of Doritos. I understand that mistakes happen and most fast food employees don't care very much about their job but the same mistake multiple times is ridiculous. Today specifically, I not only got a regular taco shell, but my Cinnabon bites were not there and someone else's taco got put in. Business hours state they are open 7am to 12am. With that being said I pulled into the drive thru at 11:10pm. Order sign is lit up and the "drive thru sign open" sign is lit. As I pull in to order I see the employees inside signal no by shaking their heads. Tonight was strange. A very large man was working behind the window area and was being in my opinion very impolite in regards to proximity. He kept a walking up behind or beside other employees and stopping way too close and standing solid. He was either touching them with his area below his waist or nearly rubbing his private area right up next to them. It was obvious the other workers were uncomfortable as they were trying to move away and he just got closer when they did. It seemed to be some form of dominance play. I'm a very large guy, but I respect other peoples space even when in close quarters. It all felt very disrespectful. I only noticed as a result of how uncomfortable the other workers appeared. As I received my order, I took one fry out of the bag and felt it was soggy and old. I tasted it and it was cold. I immediately brought it to the attention of the employee. She looked at me with disgust and told me she could not take it back because I ate it. I told her I ate one fry and it was old. She had a smug attitude as she told me I needed to pull around to the front. I asked her for her name and she said"what?". I asked again and she said "Isabella". I then asked for her managers name and said , "Kayla". She then told me I needed to move because she's got customers behind me. I drove to the front where I was greeted by Kayla. Kayla was extremely polite and asked about the incident. She told me that the employee I was talking about was not Isabella and that her real name was Valery. She advised me that she told Valery it was inappropriate to lie to the customers about her name, especially if she's giving the name of another employee there. This made me upset. I can deal with the cold fries and a poor attitude, but to put the blame on another employee by using their good name, unacceptable. This employee is making $20 an hour and I'm paying $43 for a few things at Taco Bell. Most of my co-workers refuse to pay these prices now. If I'm paying these high prices and the employees are getting paid like nurses, I think getting things right is in order. Once I began to eat my meal I realized the order was wrong. Tomatoes on the chalupas. The shells were hardened. The meat was cold in all of the hard shelled tacos. I was very disappointed. I have not had time to bring this incident to the managers attention. When walked we were able to place our order immediately. After we ordered however it took them about 20 minutes actually get the order to us. It was NOT busy not even drive through was busy. 4 people came in after us ordered and got their food before us. Their breakfast is good. They actually messed up my order which was a bacon crunch wrap. They gave me a sausage one which was pretty good. We also got their Cinnabons. Not too bad. It's frustrating to see bad reviews for a fast food restaurant. IT'S FAST FOOD!!! If it saves me from having to cook and clean, it's almost always going to be a 5 star for any quick fix dining experience. That said, I have to commend the Jackson Taco Bell drive thru workers. I went to the drive up and the guy in front of me has obviously been waiting. I can hear him occasionally calling into the intercom box, "Hello is anybody in there?" I decide to park and try inside. When I get in I can see and hear window clerk finally taking the guys order. So I wait at the counter to order. I stand there a total of five minutes. The window clerk looks at me several times in between now handling five cars worth of orders, but never once acknowledged me in any way. There is a person that I guess from her attire is a manager bent over an interior counter doing some kind of paperwork. After about three minutes of waiting the manager stands up, looks at me, does not acknowledge me and walks towards the back of the store. I wait a couple more minutes and the window clerk looks at me a couple more times. An older lady customer then walks by me while departing the store and says, "Maybe you should throw something at them to get their attention ". This is your standard, stockarooni Taco Bell......... no worse and no better than most other Taco Bells. It was renovated a few years back. If you like this chain and are in Amador County, it's the only one here and should be fine. When we got home both of the quesoritos had saracha in them which would have been fine if I liked spicy food, but I don't...
