Carniceria Valdez is literally a counter in the back of a Mexican grocery, but coming out of that kitchen is some mighty fine Mexican food. I went with a couple of tacos and a gordita. For the gordita, I went with chorizo as the protein and for the tacos I went with the asada and the barbacoa. The tacos were just under two dollars each ($1.99 to be exact) and the gordita was, I believe, $3.50. I probably enjoyed the gordita the most and the chorizo was definitely my favorite protein out of my three choices. The staff was friendly enough, though the ordering process was you walk up to the counter and order your meal and they call you up when it is ready. All in all, I would definitely recommend here and I will give it five stars.

I made the mistake of thinking that the urban bowl was going to be presented in a taco shell shaped bowl, but it's not in a tortilla bowl at all. It's all put into a rectangular styrofoam container. That was my error that I overlooked! Secondly, they skimped on the pico de gallo, and the avocado cream sauce, and I love my sauces! The "bowl" could have been better, but it was dry and had an overabundance of meat. You'll just have to examine your order very well and make sure they don't leave anything out.
