This place has become one of my lunch regulars. The quality and selection of Empanadas is amazing. That's typically what I grab. Get lots of the spicy green sauce to slather on after each bite. But also try the care asada if you have a larger appetite. It does come spicy with lots of peppers so ask for a mild version if you want to lower the heat. Great food! My wife and I ate here for dinner. She had an assortment of three empanadas and I had a shrimp burrito. Service started with complementary chips and salsa, which were just right for an appetizer. Everything was terrific! my shrimp burrito was essentially fajitas in a wrap including abundant, shrimp, onions, and bell peppers with an appropriately tiny smattering of refried beans and some rice. I've passed by here many times, but have never been able to drop by because my schedule and their hours have never aligned. We liked them all, but our favorite was the one that looked the least stuffed, it was supposed to be Ham and Cheese, but I swear it was caramelized onions and cheese. This is the best latin restaurant in Jackson area hands down. The shrimp mango tacos on corn tortillas was flavor bomb!! Empanadas are so soft and savory, it doesn't even feel oily. Reminded me of home made food. I recommend all the mexican food fan to at least give it a try, you will definitely love it. Also please try their tres leches. Very satisfied!! The kids menu was the perfect size and included a drink! Chips and salsa were free during dinner hours. The tacos were delicious. Empanadas were very good, although I am Puerto Rican and not used to the Mexican style. Nonetheless, they are some of the best empanadas I've ever had at a restaurant. The staff went above and beyond! Note- they charge a few dollars more if you're paying with a card, so I'd recommend you bring cash. Will definitely be back to eat at Tango! read more

This had flown under my radar since opening. Somehow, I just never saw it. My nephew invited me here for lunch and after looking at the menu, I was excited! We were greeted warmly by the staff and drinks were whisked out to the table. The food arrived super quick and hot. I ordered the Beef Empanada, Chicken Empanada, ground beef taco, and a salad as the Combo Meal. The Beef Empanada was bursting with great flavor. The chicken was really good as well, but just not quite as good as the beef. The ground beef taco was a tasty "street taco" style taco. The salad is the traditional Mexican salad, which is a small pile of shredded lettuce, fresh pico de gallo, and sour cream. I used it mainly to dress the taco. My nephew loves the habanero hot sauce, but they were out today. The red sauce was a really good hot sauce with a kick, but didn't make me sweat, which he said the habanero does.
