We kicked things off with an order of the corn queso and chips and I picked three tacos for my meal. There's a lot of seafood options here and 2 out of my 3 choices fell in that category--coconut shrimp, fish and chips, and fajita steak. Of the three my favorite was actually the steak (though I'd call it more of a short rib maybe?) though all three were great. The coconut shrimp had a bit more of a kick to it than I was expecting but it was still excellent. I also LOVED the corn queso and definitely ate more than my fair share. They've got a few beer options, cocktails, beer, and a couple of NA options outside of soda including a delicious lavender lemonade and a watermelon lime slushie. I'm not the biggest fan of watermelon but it sounded refreshing so I went with that as my beverage and it was really, really, good. If you're ready to party you can add a shot of liquor to it to give it a little more sauce. Ordering is fairly straightforward. Order all your food and drinks at the counter, wait for your drinks, then grab a seat and wait for your food which they'll bring out to you. FYI the indoor seating is currently not air-conditioned so keep that in mind when you grab a seat if it's hot out. And DEFINITELY keep it in mind when the tip screen comes up at the register. They have a note saying tips are optional as they pay the staff accordingly but it was in the 90s when we were here and I can't imagine how hard it was working through that. So we definitely left a few bucks as a thank you.

The interior is a decent size, high ceilings, open, exposed brick wall and wood. The food was a much higher standard than the average brewery, which is good for me as I do not drink beer. I did try their peppermint holiday cider, which was interesting, I don't think I'd order it again, but my friend really liked it. My nephew noted that he was glad the food was good, not just the fries, as he is not old enough for beer. He had the chicken tenders and he said they were the best he's ever had. We started with the giant pretzel. It was a special, which is too bad, as it was fantastic (and should be added to the menu). There was that slight crispness to the outside, warm soft inside, and perfect crystallized salt. It came with cheese sauce and grainy mustard, both were great, the pretzel could still hold its own without sauce. Their menu is not huge, and I think it's better for it. They featured steak and burgers (and my aunt was happy to have a good gluten free bun!). I had the garlic steak tips, cooked perfectly at medium, and garlic mashed potatoes (I'm sure my breath was potent after). The sauce was very good, and I love garlic, so being very garlicky worked for me. It also had a side of creamy horseradish sauce that paired perfectly. The only mis step was the steak was a bit cool in temperature, and I didn't want to send it back and the be over cooked. The others had burgers, and an autumn salad. The salad was also noted it to better than average, it was good they had a lighter option on the menu. The entrance area also had a butcher area to buy beef.

I like that typically means the employers are good to their employees. As for the food, meh. The salad was fantastic. The burger, I had a burger special beer something. The bun was cold and the meat dry. I was hoping for a sloppy wipe my face with lots of napkins burger. Sadly I did not get that, maybe someone else would enjoy a dry burger with a cold bun. I would definitely go back and order something different. The salad orders looked absolutely fantastic. Lastly the positive attitude of the staff makes me want to go back and support them.

You may see him at the Farmer's Market, or running into his neighbor's restaurant, Nonla Burger, for a snack, or being very, very helpful at the store. You can identify him by his HUGE smile and welcoming manner. 2. Fresh meat, of all kinds, Lately, we're really into the tiny cubed bits of beef, for a quick spicy stir fry, but there are also all kinds of sausages, and spiced meat for fajitas, etc. 3. All kinds of tortillas - both corn and wheat. 4. Fresh veggies, including papaya, aloe, tomatillos, avocados, and a slew of hot peppers. 5. Speaking of hot peppers, you'll find a variety of dried ones in front of the meat counter, and on the spice rack. 6. ROASTED PORK every weekend! It's in a blue cooler by the cash register, and you just pick out the bits you want, and have them weighed and sealed up at the meat counter. 7. At the farmer's market stand, get the fresh chips, freshly made salsa, and our favorite, homemade tamales. YUM. Now, I could go on and on (all kinds of canned goods, including Dominican red beans; dried goods; laundry soap; pinatas; and more), but the main thing is that you know you're in an authentic shop when people from that culture shop there. This is clearly a hub for excellent food, supplies, and even medicine from abroad. We go here at least once a week!
