It's conveniently located right off of 94, so it's great if you're in a rush to get on the road. I stopped by for a quick lunch and got a small fried chicken and potato burrito combo. Their combos come with a drink and potato ole's. They also ask what sauce you'd like for your ole's and you can choose between nacho cheese, guac, or sour cream. I went with their classic nacho cheese. The food came out pretty quickly and I parked in one of the many parking spots in the lot to eat my food. I thought the burrito was what you'd expect from TJ's - the fried chicken and crispy ole's in the burrito gave it a nice crunch. I would get it again in the future. The side of potato ole's was also extra crispy and golden as always, but where they fell short here was it was way way way too salty. The TJ's seasoning is one I like when they don't load it on like they did here. The potato ole's were almost too salty to eat, and I chugged most of my Pepsi even just eating half of the small size. My mom had a few bites and tasted all seasoning salt. Whoever takes care of seasoning the potato ole's here, needs to have a lighter hand with it, so you can still actually taste the potato part of it.

The shrimp were cooked perfectly! I love the combination of green bell peppers and onions that is sautéed to give the shrimp a great flavor. The cilantro rice that comes with the dish was slightly undercooked. It usually is good but this time was off. My tortillas were also a bit on the dry side. Overall, always get great service here. Started with me sitting for 10 minutes before the waiter said I "snuck in on him" then took my drink order. 10 mins later he finally came and took my food order. Although it's a bit of a hike outside the city, still not too bad on a weekday and it was nice to get out and try something new! It seems like an up and coming area for Monticello and development nearby. We came right at 5 when the restaurant opens and got a seat in the high tops. NOTE! If you want to partake in the happy hour, you have to either sit at the bar or in the high top tables. We didn't know this and wanted their chicken wings on the happy hour menu so ended up switching tables. In addition to the wings, my husband ordered the corn bread app which was pretty good too! Wasn't a huge fan of the spicy butter it came with, but strange but the bread itself was good. The wings had a good seasoning and the house made ranch was really tasty! Surprised there were only wings and no drumsticks which I prefer and the wings themselves didn't have a whole ton of meat on them so I'd give it 3/5 on the apps I ordered the 12oz New York strip and at market price it was $62, came with broccolini and French fries. My husband got the turkey burger which he wasn't a huge fan of he said but he enjoyed the fries. My New York strip wasn't seasoned well - if at all to be honest but thankfully they had some leftover A1 from Mother's Day brunch where the bartender made some bloody Mary's so that helped. Can't say the food was a knockout but the service was really good. The bartender who was our server was conversational, great dude, and offered great suggestions. Host and folks were also really accommodating when we hopped around the restaurant so we could participate in the HH. All in all, great experience and nice place to try!

My wife thought her over-easy eggs were a little too soft and the coffee too bitter to drink without cream. She loved the toast and the berry jam was super good. I had the salmon omelet. If I ever have it again I'll ask them to leave the feta cheese out. There were relatively large pockets of feta and the flavor just clashed with the overall taste. I was going to leave most of the fried sweet potatoes because I'm trying to cut down on carbs but they were so tasty I ate every last one! The toast was good, but I prefer grain bread. I did manage to leave one triangle of bread behind just so I could tell myself I cut out some carbs. The table they set us at was super wobbly. There just isn't any excuse for that. It would probably take less than 5 minutes to flip the table over at the end off the day and adjust the legs and it probably wouldn't ever be wobbly again. Since it was my birthday I ordered, with a lot of encouragement from my wife a slice of carrot cake to go. That was a mistake! I loved the first bite and thought I was in for a real treat but the texture of the cake was more like cornbread and lacked the depth of flavor that even the cheapest carrot cake I've eaten has had.

The confirmation email said my order would be ready at 9:58, but I guess it was finished earlier because I heard the delivery driver knocking at 9:46 while I was out in my garage. When I answered the door, I apologized and asked if he had been waiting long, and he replied, "Yeah, I've BEEN knocking," before storming back to his car. I was a little confused by the attitude since I never got a text, phone call, or any other notification that he had arrived.
