Great staff and helpful for people who may be newer to the best cuisine. I always judge a place by asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito (evaluating beans and tortillas) and add chips salsa and guacamole to finish the test. Here I added sopes a thick corn tortilla boat with meat and beans topped with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cojita cheese and the topped with your preference salsa. I added an sad taco and carnitas tacos and the meal was fantastic. My friend added the adds plate with a pair of Mexican cokes. It is a flashback from my many trips south and getting homemade tacos in Ensenada. They are doing Mexican right and it doesn't involve queso :)

I usually prefer yellow corn tortillas to the white ones used here. I only wish the tortillas were oiled up a little more before they were cooked on the flattop because they were just a little dry. It did not take away from a great experience but could've added to it. Service was friendly. This is a cash only business.

I didn't really get the flavors of the meats due to all the toppings (beans, lettuce, pico, sour cream), which if you want to omit anything, you can. I also went for the tres leche cake, which was good. To be honest, we were actually heading to another restaurant on the block, but being a Monday, they were closed. Thankfully El Taco Riendo wasn't because I enjoyed the experience. They have a large menu written on the wall. Right above the cashier is another menu with pictures, and I believe there was a smaller menu with pics on the counter. Prices were fair and service good. After placing our order we were given our drinks and told to have a seat, the food would be brought to us. The food came out in less than 10mins. However, out cakes weren't, so eventually I just notified an employee who took care of things immediately. In all it was a nice experience.

Mostly I stick to the carne asada quesadilla, taco salad and sometimes 3-4 all pastor tacos. When I'm super hungry I do the fried burrito, yes it's deep fried, crispy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. Those cold winter days the ramen birria or birria tacos are the go to choices. Get their avocado jalapeno salsa and the hot salsa for a spicy kick. Their horchata is a must have as well!! Thank you to the incredible staff who is always very friendly and welcoming every time I visit.

There was no wait, and plenty of seating to choose from. I could definitely see this being a spot I'd come back to for drinks before heading out. We tried the elote, which was good, although I think the corn could have been cooked a little longer. The asada fries were delicious, crispy fries good portion of steak and the beautiful presentation and we got some hot salsa on the side, it was actually spicy, which I appreciated! The prickly pear Paloma was SO good. I also had a sip of my husband's Minnesota Cooler, and that was good too. We found street parking less than a block away, which was convenient. Overall, our experience was good. Nothing spectacular just yet, but hopefully as they've been open longer, they continue to grow into a place you want to come back to again and again. Shoutout to Ivan for the good service the night we visited! We'll definitely keep this place in mind and would come back to try more.

The tripa (requested crispy) tasted good and could have been more crispy, the pastor was my favorite because it had a bit of char flavor to it, and the steak was pretty good. I liked the mango sauce with the al pastor and the red and green sauces with the rest. They all have a good kick to them. The watermelon agua fresca is very refreshing and not very sweet! There is watermelon pulp in it which is excellent. I would definitely come back to get tacos, birria, a bowl, and desserts!
