Food is always very good and we enjoy coming here. The chips and salsa are excellent. We ordered the beef chimichanga which was our mistake. We were expecting ground beef and it was shredded beef. Got the kids meal taco and a kids meal quesadilla requesting grilled chicken. The rice and beans are always great and the queso is 10 out of 10 you must get. Staff is super nice.

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants! You start with house chips and salsa and it's the best I've had for this type of Mexican restaurant (each additional chip and salsa is $1). Food is good quality and very classic Mexican restaurant. Services was super quick and nice huge restaurant to accommodate a lot of guests. They do have an outdoor patio as well.

Food and service are always very good. Last time out was disappointed in the 1/2 filled salsa and half filled chips then charged for the refill (that came full). Almost like they do that on purpose now.... Feels scummy

El rodeo is average Mexican American food. Simple flavors and barely any seasoning. It's good if you're in the mood for a basic no frills relatively affordable meal. We had the guacamole dip. It needed some red onions, lime and salt. I think it was just mashed avocados with pico de gallo on top. Ceviche was good. Nice portion. Could have used some onion for flavor too. Burrito Carne asada with chicken and burrito del rodeo with ground beef. Again, both fine but just needs a little more flavor. We sat outside. They do have a great patio space. Today service was good outside. It can be hit or miss though.

Traditional Mexican fare in a traditional setting! Huge menu with loads of options and several combos. Service was excellent, interactive and attentive. Easy parking, quick seating, a great family setting, easy to recommend this place for your families next outing...

I spoil one of my accounts everytime I'm in town with some tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and queso... they love my visits especially when I bring El Rodeo for lunch.

Employees are always kind and attentive. The same staff have waited on me as years ago! The food is always delicious no matter what I've tried and my sons margarita was delicious! It's not too loud and the booths are large and comfortable. Parking is easy and right out front in a parking lot. We love coming here!

Would not recommend. The food was less than desired. Asked for medium rare steak and was served well done. Fajitas were very bland.

This review has been long overdue because Riviera Maya is one of my top 5 favorite places to eat…read morewhen I can't decide what I want and need a filling meal. My top favorite dishes: - "QUESABIRRIA TACOS"!!! If you come for NOTHING else, the Quesabirria tacos are the only thing you should strongly consider stopping by for. Stuffed to the brim with tender, shredded, slow-cooked beef and cheese, served with a hearty consomé for dipping, these Quesabirria tacos will brighten anyone's cloudy day. If you're looking at the menu and nothing speaks to you, want to try something new, are in the mood for a comfort meal, or just want to guarantee a solid meal, the Quesabirria tacos are your fool-proof option. - "Enchiladas Tapatias". My backup dish if I'm not in the mood for Quesabirria tacos is these stuffed chicken enchiladas, covered in a cheese sauce. Served with rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato & sour cream, this dish is a cheesy, gooey, delicious bite, every time. -"Taquitos Mexicanos". Four deep-fried taquitos stuffed with chicken or beef, served with guac, lettuce, tomato & sour cream. You won't find these bad boys anywhere else but in the appetizers section. If you blink twice, you might miss it. If you're not too hungry, this is a great, "light" option that's both filling and high protein ;-) -"Family Style 15 Street Tacos". This is a meal my family consumes at least once a month. It's practical, filling, and leaves leftovers! For $40, you get 15 corn tortilla tacos (your choice of protein), rice, refried beans, guacamole, chips, salsa, cilantro, & onion. If you need a meal for a group of 4-6, this is a phenomenal option. There are several other family-style options (including Margarita Mix ), ranging from $20-$50, available, but I've only tried & returned for the street tacos. -"Beergarita". This margarita with a twist is served with an upside-down 7 oz. Corona. Refreshing and stiff, this signature drink is a fun option to try with any meal. Riviera Maya is a delightful family-owned restaurant. The service is exceptional. Our family is always treated with the best care and attention. Riviera Maya is a hidden gem in the heart of Maple Grove, typically full on weekends. Whether takeout or dine-in, I'd encourage you to check them out!

Wasn't a difficult order by any means She simply didn't listen to what I ordered AT ALL, nor did she write it down. Another guy blamed it on that "she was very busy". From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a diverse selection of dairy products, sodas, and snacks that you don't typically find all in one place. That variety directly stood out to me. Unlike many markets that focus on just one country, Loma Bonita offers a wide range of products from across Latin America, including El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and more. One area for improvement is pricing clarity. In some sections, particularly dairy, labels can be difficult to match to specific items. That said, the staff at the checkout counter is willing to assist with price checks. As you move through the store, the selection just keeps getting better: fresh cuts of meat, frozen goods from around the world, and ready-to-eat hot meals. There's even a paletero (ice cream stand) tucked near the back by the produce section. The produce department stands out for its range, availability and affordability. It's great to find items like culantro, yellow (ripe) and green plantains, papaya, guava, mango, nance, yuca, and malanga, along with standard produce. Having all this fresh and reasonably priced is a big plus. What is the reward of visiting Loma Bonita? Their restaurant food! I almost always leave with a "Burrito de Asada" or "Huarache de Asada". Everything is made fresh to order, though they also offer convenient grab-and-go options like whole chicken and Mexican rice. On weekends, the menu expands with items like menudo and tacos dorados, making it more enticing to visit. There are multiple Loma Bonita locations in the Twin Cities, and while this one may be smaller, it's still packed with great finds. Pro tip: For homemade tacos, get their fresh, handmade corn tortillas. They're a game changer!

Taqueria LomaBonita is located in the back a grocery/bakery called Supermercado y Panaderia LomaBonita in Crystal. Firstly, the grocery store is amazing and features a huge selection of Mexican special items that you really can't find elsewhere, including a whole array of locally made tortillas, specially cut meats, tacos dorados, house made salsas, etc. In the back of the grocery store is this taco shop which sells a whole bunch of Mexican classics for between $5-15 depending on the item. I have tried about half the menu by now, and everything has been incredible. You have to get one of the many aguas (beverage) they have - my favorite is the sandia (watermelon), but they're all amazing. As for the food, my two favorite dishes so far have been the burrito and the enchiladas. Both are by far my favorite in the state, and the lengua is definitely the best meat choice I've tried. The staff are all extremely friendly, and serve you super quickly - the only potential downside is there may be a language barrier at times if you do not speak a little bit of Spanish. Just be ready to use Google translate should you need to. This taco shop is usually a little busy, but around the corner of it inside the grocery store, is a nice little seating area with very cute tables and colorful chairs. I highly recommend this place, it is one of my top 5 restaurants in Minnesota, and I come here almost weekly now.
