    Carnitas Street Taco
    Julia F.

The food is so filling and packed with flavor! Sometimes when you order a meatless option at a restaurant, it's a little disappointing because no one thought through a decent vegetarian substitute-- but I ordered the burrito with veggie option of spinach and mushrooms and it did not disappoint. We also got the carnitas and al pastor tacos, the carnitas were really juicy and tender. The pastor came out a little drier than expected, yet still tasty. We ordered pina coladas off the inner juice menu, but the frozen NA versions came out instead, which were very large portions and a couple dollars extra. If we had known that, we probably would have gotten just one to share. There were large TVs everywhere playing UFC and NBC, but there was no volume and no subtitles unfortunately. Service was really attentive and we were sat and served really quickly. I would definitely come again, especially to try the horchata.

This chicken was so over cooked and chewy, it was basically not edible.

The chef left to the bathroom and was not looking good. Came back after a long time in the bathroom, then about 15 minutes later, cleaning team went to the bathroom with a mop. Obviously he was sick, and now we're all grossed out and saying prayers he doesn't get us sick. Sadly, we had already started eating when this was realized. It was no problem to stop eating, however. The only tasty thing was the chips. The rest was so, so bad. Chicken that was like jerky, my husband said burrito was like stale and just gross. I really want to find good Mexican food here. This is not it, yuck.

We were all in the mood for Mexican food, and tried out a new place. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken fast as well. The dining area is rather spacious, even though the booths are a little smaller than normal, but still nice. The prices were quite decent as well. It took a few minutes to get our chips and salsa, but that was acceptable. My son ordered Walking Tacos. He liked them but thought it was very little food. My wife and I got Flaming Fajitas for Two. Though they came out sizzling hot, there was no flames. I rather like the experience at other places when my flaming dish comes out on fire. That dish was good. What we didn't enjoy, was our waiter. The fact that he didn't write our order down, isn't a big deal in general, but when I watch a waiter visibly having troubles remembering what we order, then asking for clarification after he walks away because he forgot something, bothers me. I fully expected our order to have issues, and it did. To make matters worse, he ignored our table. He only had 5 tables, but our drinks went dry and stayed dry. Getting our bill was a hassle as well. He never came back after delivering our food, but he walked by with his head turned a dozen times. The restaurant was maybe half full, but our food still took nearly 30 minutes to come out. The overall experience made me not want to come back.

Teresa's is our go-to Taco Tuesday meal! They have a great deal of $8 for 3 tacos and both the Mexican and American style are great! The service is very fast, and the drinks and table chips are great!

i was so close to taking home the molcajete bowl, lol it's so cute! INSTA @xcyanneats Teresa's in Maple Grove, 10/10 big portion and we went on a good day, happy hour all day so we got $5 large margs (not pictured) service was great! Pollo san jose, is sooooooo good. Definitely savory and super cheesy of course which I loveee. whatever seasoning they used for the chorizo and chicken was a1. I think they cut the chicken breast in half to provide a bigger portion, and no complaints bc it definitely enough to fill my tummy Enchiladas Potosi, omg I've been so obsessed with cactus lately since the first time I've had it. The texture looks like green beans, but more gel like when you chew. Enchiladas itself was savory, but I felt like could've had a little more sauce added. It's great taste though! everything plus two drinks was $51

The meal was awful. I had chicken fajitas. The chicken can in crumbles, super tiny . Almost looked like grill scraps. It probably did not even add up to one normal chicken strip. No flavor. Would not go again!

What a great Tex-Mex style restaurant in Maple Grove & a few other locations. This perticular location is a little hidden, but once you know you know! They have a bunch of daily deals & of course Happy Hour! They have great options for margaritas, beer, and various other cocktails. Not drinking alcohol or have kids along? Try the jarritos sodas! I tried lime and really enjoyed it. They delivered chips and salad to the table. We also ordered Teresa's Chipotle Dip which was sooo yummy. Its made with their signature melted cheese, Chipotle sauce, grilled chicken, steak & topped with cilantro! The chips are perfect & the dip was sooo cheesy and yummy! Definitely recommend this one I grabbed on of Teresa's favorites - the street tacos. You can choose from various protine, but I went with Pollo asado. The street tacos come with onions & cilantro. You can get corn or flour tortillas. I grabbed corn as that's how I taco! These come with a side of rice, beans, and limes. The two salsas that come with are really good. One had a nice kick and the other seemed to be a mild Verde. We look forward to returning! Our server was super informative and kind! We had a great overall experience.

    Tres Marias

I love Mexican food and have experienced Mexican food in some states. Heck, I even regularly ate at La Casa Bonita whenever people came to visit us in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so I've tried everything from a local hole-in-the-wall to the queen of kitsch. I've eaten at Teresa's in Maple Grove many times and most times have been pleased with the food and service. Tonight the food wasn't up to usual standards. Wasn't awful, just wasn't as good as usual. Chips and salsa arrived at the table tonight, and the chips lacked flavor like some off-brand you might find in a clearance center. The salsa was red and had some green accents but was bland which was utterly unexpected. I tried to jazz it up and never got to a level of flavor that was satisfying. The menu offers up lots of entrees with all the traditional foods like enchiladas (Tres Marias is a favorite, $13), burritos, fajitas, some combos and options that are unique to their restaurants. Points for offering creative options. Tonight the food arrived piping hot but lacking the deep, intense flavors we've come to expect when eating at Teresa's. It was bland and seemed more like something that could be heated up in a convenience store microwave. I took home a Tres Marias for my husband, and he reheated his meal in the microwave and raved about how good it was so I would consider that successful on the takeout portion.

A miniscule partial adjustment of the price for some extremely over priced basic tacos.

These people have completely lost there frickin minds! I orginally ordered two grilled chicken tacos and one shredded beef taco, then I was still hungry so I ordered three additional grilled chicken tacos. The chicken meat was not very flavorful or hot, and the chicken meat seemed a bit chewy and tuff. The shredded beef taco was extremely greasy and gross. I only ate what i ordered that was served to out of respect and because I was extremely hungry. I ordered a ice water with a lemon with my meal, so there was no charge for that. Although when the bill came I was in shock to get a bill for $36 for six tacos with absolutely nothing else. I brought it to another staff members attention and he did a slight adjustment on my bill to make it $32 although that is still ridiculous for six tacos. I will never give this restaurant any business ever again and I am going to recommend all my colleagues, friends and associates don't give them any business either.

    Yum

It was about 80% cucumber with barely any crab, which wasn't what we expected. Unfortunately, the service really overshadowed the experience. We weren't greeted when we walked in, and things felt off from the start. We had a stroller with us, and instead of helping us find a comfortable spot, we were initially directed to a booth that clearly wouldn't work. When I asked about it, the waitress moved a couple of tables and pointed us to an end table with an uncomfortable chair. I politely asked to sit somewhere else, which felt awkward to even have to do. There were also a few moments that felt careless, like when she reached over my baby and stroller to grab a drink instead of going around. That's just not something you should risk. When I finished my salad, she told me to keep my fork rather than bringing a new one for sushi, which came off as odd. I also know how to use chopsticks so it seemed weird to assume that I didn't and would reuse my fork. The waitress didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and we didn't feel acknowledged at any point..even when we left, despite being the only customers there. It's a shame because the food, music, and overall vibe had potential, but the service really took away from the experience.

This review is going to be difficult to write because I have such mixed feelings. My last rating…read morewas a five-star review and parts of my wife's and I experience merit another five stars, but parts of the same experience merit a one-star. And that makes it difficult! Let's start with the positive... Their prime rib continues to be fantastic. It's meaty, flavorful, and juicy. After having some prime rib specials at other restaurants, I can really see that they quality varies. In addition, Dehn's dinner comes with excellent Parker-house rolls and butter, cup of au jus, and a baked potato -- all of which is good. It also comes with soup or salad. Their Beef Barley soup is one of the best version of beef barley soup that I've ever had. It's loaded with ingredients, the broth has a deep flavor and I have always enjoyed their version of it. So far, this is five star territory. However, on to the not so good... I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was clearly medium to medium well done. Honestly, if you want medium rare, medium well done is a big disappointment. I asked the waitress for a more rare piece and when she returned she told me that the chef said the piece I got was from the center of the roast and was the rarest piece they had. Although they took $8 off the price, it was not a great experience and the meat just could have been much more juicy and tasty if they had cooked it properly. But there is more. My wife order the fried chicken and for the third time in a row, they said they didn't have it. (Dehn's, if you don't carry it, either take it off the menu or tell your guests about it before they order). My wife went with the grilled chicken breast, which arrived looking like and tasting like either a frozen piece of chicken, or a bad airline meal (for those of you who can remember that). It was really tasteless and dry. In addition to all of that, we waited 15 minutes to be seated in the nearly empty restaurant because (we were told) they were short staffed. In fact, there seemed to be one waitress and one kitchen staff person for the restaurant. Service was slow (although friendly by the person who wasn't really a waitress). So what's up with Dehn's? The area around the restaurant is turning from farm land to housing. The hours of the restaurant have been cut severely and they are now only open for dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. My gut tells me that they are "caretaking" the restaurant and that although they have been open since 1958, I doubt they are going to see 2028.

My top favorite dishes: - "QUESABIRRIA TACOS"!!! If you come for NOTHING else, the Quesabirria tacos are the only thing you should strongly consider stopping by for. Stuffed to the brim with tender, shredded, slow-cooked beef and cheese, served with a hearty consomé for dipping, these Quesabirria tacos will brighten anyone's cloudy day. If you're looking at the menu and nothing speaks to you, want to try something new, are in the mood for a comfort meal, or just want to guarantee a solid meal, the Quesabirria tacos are your fool-proof option. - "Enchiladas Tapatias". My backup dish if I'm not in the mood for Quesabirria tacos is these stuffed chicken enchiladas, covered in a cheese sauce. Served with rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato & sour cream, this dish is a cheesy, gooey, delicious bite, every time. -"Taquitos Mexicanos". Four deep-fried taquitos stuffed with chicken or beef, served with guac, lettuce, tomato & sour cream. You won't find these bad boys anywhere else but in the appetizers section. If you blink twice, you might miss it. If you're not too hungry, this is a great, "light" option that's both filling and high protein ;-) -"Family Style 15 Street Tacos". This is a meal my family consumes at least once a month. It's practical, filling, and leaves leftovers! For $40, you get 15 corn tortilla tacos (your choice of protein), rice, refried beans, guacamole, chips, salsa, cilantro, & onion. If you need a meal for a group of 4-6, this is a phenomenal option. There are several other family-style options (including Margarita Mix ), ranging from $20-$50, available, but I've only tried & returned for the street tacos. -"Beergarita". This margarita with a twist is served with an upside-down 7 oz. Corona. Refreshing and stiff, this signature drink is a fun option to try with any meal. Riviera Maya is a delightful family-owned restaurant. The service is exceptional. Our family is always treated with the best care and attention. Riviera Maya is a hidden gem in the heart of Maple Grove, typically full on weekends. Whether takeout or dine-in, I'd encourage you to check them out!
