This store is a complete mess. McDonald's should pull their franchise. Thankfully tonight was my…read morelast experience with these clowns as I will NEVER order from or step foot in this hell hole ever again. Let's rewind a couple years. My pregnant wife ordered through the ap. When she got to the drive thru, they couldn't understand her when she gave them her order code. So, we pull around and give it to then face to face. They get it and we pull up. Well the next window had no clue what was going on. Only handed her half the order and when she questioned it, some guy in a high vis vest starts yelling at her. My poppa bear kicked in and I told the jerk that they better get order right and ask him who he thinks he is yelling at a pregnant woman. He then theatens physical violence. My wife just drove off, with me opening the door. Fast forward a couple years to present time. This evening I went to the drive thru and ordered a happy meal for our now 2 and my a half year old and a meal for myself. I place the order, pay, pull around and the guy hands me my drink and a happy meal and turns like he's done. I sit there, he comes back and asks if there is anything else and I said, yeah. They rest of my order. Then then asks ME what I ordered. What? Really? So they pull their head out of their behind and give me my food and I leave. I get ALL THE WAY HOME, sit down to eat, I open my kids happy meal box and they're are no nuggets. Now I have to load up not only my 2 and a half year old, by my 7 month only infant and go BACK to the store. I go inside and said I got all the way home and opened the happy meal and there are no nuggets. I said I want you to make the order right and and give me a refund. Seems only fair given the hassle this has turned into. The manager starts giving me attitude, but give me my refund and walks away. I stand to their waiting for the nuggets and after a couple minutes she looks at me and asks if there was anything else. I said yeah, I want you to make the order right. She snaps back at me saying, well I gave you your money back. WHAT? your screw up was a MAJOR inconvenience and you give ME attitude? I'm done. I hope this store goes out of business. It's TERRIBLE! McDonald's corporate would LOSE THEIR MIND if they saw this mess. If your driving by and thinking of stopping, DON'T! You're welcome in advance.

Wagners has been around since 1971, but opened it's Brooklyn Park location in 1988. From the looks…read moreof it, you would think it has been there from the 1950's because it is an authentic drive-in restaurant. That means there are little speakers next to each parking stall from which you order (the menu is near the speaker) and they will bring the food to your car. They used to bring the food to you on a tray, but now it is bagged up for you to either enjoy in your car or to take home. Other options are to sit at one of about half a dozen picnic tables, or there is seating inside the restaurant. Frankly, Wagners was getting a bit run-down, but they have spruced up the place in the last couple of year, with a well-deserved paint job, new speakers, and new picnic tables. They even have hand held credit card readers, which saves the waitstaff from making extra trips to process your card. The menu has all of the classics you would want, from a variety of tasty, juicy hamburgers, hot and cold sandwiches, meals that include fries, coleslaw, and toast. Their French fries are crinkle cut and excellent: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The onion rings are good and you can have Chile in a bowl or on your hamburger or hotdog. There are milkshakes, desserts, kids' meals and smoothies. I've eaten here for years and the food is always reliably great, the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Take your kids here, take your grandkids here, go here for a date, or just go yourself. It's a fun and tasty time!

It doesn't have a huge deli menu, but it had a bunch of sandwiches on the menu that looked pretty good. You can zoom in on my photo to see the menu. We came for breakfast and there was a nice donut case as well as other breakfast options. We came late so the donut case was pretty picked over which is to be expected. We had a cream filled bismark, a sausage roll, and an Asian coffee. The bismark was the best I have had in a long time. They fill it with your choice of fillings right when you order so it isn't soggy. The dough part of the donut was fresh and light and somehow tastier than anywhere I have been. The custard was pretty standard custard, but also tasted lighter and fresher than I have had before. The sausage roll was basically a hot dog type sausage wrapped in a croissant type dough. There was also an option of cheese and jalapeño. It was good. The Asian coffee was good, as you might guess it was pretty much what other places call Vietnamese coffee. It is in a strip mall so there is strip mall parking. There is a ramp and the store is pretty handicapped accessible. The staff were fast, efficient, and friendly. There was a good amount of seating inside, and a few tables outside.

After spending some time in uptown Minneapolis, it was 8:30 pm and I needed to grab some dinner. I…read moredidn't feel like dining in anywhere, so I went with takeout. I wanted to hit a Taco John's. The closest one was this one in New Hope. I had never been to New Hope, so I was looking forward to it. This Taco John's is in a strip mall. It does not have a drive-thru. There was a lot of parking. I backed into a spot and walked in. This eatery has a ton of seating. It's huge. There were a handful of people waiting for their food. I walked up to the counter and had the nicest man take my order. I had been eyeing the meat and potatoes burrito for a while. I got it as a combo. I got potato olés as my side. My combo came with a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. The transaction went smoothly. I got a cup and headed to the drinks area. I filled it with Diet Pepsi. Filling my cup up killed a bit of time, along with getting a straw and napkins. I probably waited for ten minutes at the most for my food. A woman called out order 8. My receipt said 208. I didn't know whether she was going with the last digit of the order number. So, I showed my receipt to her. She rattled the contents of the bag. Yep, it was my order and the place goes with the last digit of the order number. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. Even the man who had taken my order also said goodnight. Such a nice touch. I headed to my car and drove back to the hotel. It was a clear evening and a nice drive. I chowed down when I got back to my room. I tore into my meat and potatoes burrito first. It had ground beef, potato olés, nacho cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes. I have never been big on sour cream, so I'll need to have that held next time. Luckily, there wasn't all that much of it in my burrito. It was a hearty, hefty, flavourful burrito. It was huge. I loved it. I love potato olés. Each one is so enjoyable to devour. It's like having a hybrid of mashed potatoes and tater tots. You get the best of crispy and creamy potatoes in each olé. So good! My Diet Pepsi was refreshing. It washed everything down and hit the spot. I had a great experience at this eatery. I'd return when I'm in the area. I can also say that I've finally been to New Hope.
