YES YES YES! This place embodies everything good about small restaurants. We stopped for lunch as an excuse to get out of the house on a tough day and it couldn't have been more worth it. Anthony (one of the employees) is an absolute bright spot. He was so upbeat and smiley we couldn't help but have a great time. He really impacted our day and I had my boyfriend run up to grab his name so I could write all about it. He's awesome. Also, I love the style of the place. It is so tiny. It has three booths and a drive-thru. I like places that focus their energy. Tiny restaurant + awesome employee = every person feeling like they're being taken care of. You can't beat that! (Or so I thought). To top it all off: BOMB shrimp tacos! I have nothing bad to say about El Bamba. This will be a frequent spot for us all summer! (: ¡Fenomenal!

Chicken Chimichanga

Atmosphere: This restaurant is a small hole in the wall joint with a patio. My wife and I ordered takeout since it's February but will probably come back in the summer for some food on the patio. The over the phone order was super quick and they had the food ready within 15 minutes. We were both really impressed. Drinks: Didn't order any. I'd love to see a take out margarita (not sure if that's legal but it should be!) Food: We ordered the Pollo Loco, Chips and Salsa, and the Chicken chimichanga. The Pollo Loco was fantastic. The cheese, shrimp and rice melded together nicely and didn't last long on my plate! The Chimichanga had a bland favor but was filling. The salsa was good and we had enough to save for later. Not our Favorite: The chips were overcooked. The taste was off because of this

Shredded Chicken Chimichanga side rice and beans, bag of chips and salsa, side cilantro, side fresh jalapeños

We went based on the raving reviews from our friends. It wasn't the worst Mexican food I've had but it was nowhere near the best either. I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga add a side of jalapeños and a side of cilantro. It came with free chips and salsa before our meal. Chips were delicious. Salsa tasted homemade. Tomatoes, chopped onions, and cilantro - no peppers of any kind. The bag shown in the picture and the small plastic cup next to it was what the chips and salsa came in. The food came out on real plates, nice touch. Chimi was a nice big size. Chicken was lean, white meat seasoned in chili powder and cumin, onions and bell (?) peppers. Rice was a bit bland. Beans were orange. I couldn't figure out why. The side of fresh jalapeños were seeded so they weren't hot at all. Side of cilantro was all leaves, not many stems.

Shrimp tacos with hard shell

Very small restaurant, but tastes so good! We were there today after shopping at Albertville outlet mall. They have tons of menu to choose from. There are seating outside for nice weather. I got fish tacos and my daughter got shrimp tacos today. Seems like they deliver and also have drive through.

This isn't Mexican or authentic one bit. Taco Bell has more flavor than this place. Everything lacked seasoning.

Food was sub par. Chips and salsa you had to purchase and I get better chips at home with pace salsa.

This is a Mexican restaurant that if my father were still alive I would be proud to take him to…read more The portions are generous, the beers even more so, and they actually have food other than the generic tacos (mind you, I ordered those out of a craving), but I was pleasantly surprised that they had menudo on their menu. The staff, too, is actually Mexican. I had a very nice conversation with the waitress about our roots and all. Anyway, let's talk food and drinks here. We began with drinks, all of us choosing beer and/or margaritas. Let me tell you that if you get beer on draft like I did that the glass is huge. ¡Están sí son chelas! Translation: These yes are beers! Drinks aside, they bring you complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa actually has a nice flavor, maybe even a hint of a kick to it. Despite this, we started with chips and guacamole and what a hearty portion. Guacamole was fresh and filling. For our main dishes, a cheese enchilada was had, as well as carne asada. The last two of us (including myself in this boat given prior comment) ordered tacos. Carne asada tacos specifically. Everything was legitimately delish. Very happy we wound up at El Huichol, which I later learned is an indigenous group of people from Mexico. Go figure... my Chicano self needs to get more educated on stuff as clearly I don't know much, haha.

Honestly never would have stumbled across this place if it wasn't for the fact that the buffalo DMV…read morehad been moved here and Google was incorrect, not to mention the driving evaluator told me they have some amazing margaritas - and they weren't wrong! Along with having one of their slushy machine margaritas while waiting for my son to take his driving test, I had their chips and salsa and was able to sample their spicy and their avocado Verde salsa - both were amazing! After my son passed his driver's test we celebrated with more chips + salsa and a chicken and asada taco each. The waitress (who lived in Apple Valley and we chatted about being from Rosemount) told me they made their corn tortillas in house, and they were definitely the best I've ever tried: soft like a flower tortilla but still the rich flavor of corn. I'm not a cilantro fan but it was just perfectly diced and their red onions on top along with the salsa verde were absolutely heavenly. Certainly an unexpected stop to a lovely establishment with great service, and if travels ever take me back to Buffalo I'll definitely stop back by!
