Every time we visit Ranchi Grande we get great service, good food and the best margaritas! I took my 4 year old grandson and he lived the food and now asks to go back all the time! I've also gone with a group of friends and we could talk and hear each other while enjoying a great meal! read more

I've been here twice and both times, I've been gravely disappointed in the quality of the food. First time I order chicken enchiladas that had dry chicken and bland flavor. The second time tipped the scale. I ordered a tamale that was decent, and three beef tacos that were absolutely awful (see pictures). There was a heaping amount of lettuce and cheese (and not good kind of cheese). The meat was soaking and not in it own juices, but what looked like water-- as if they boiled the ground beef or left it in some hot water under a light. It was mushy and bland! I couldn't finish the tacos, I was so disgusted. However, killer chips and salsa-- the only saving grace of my night. We also order the queso which was also pretty darn good. If it weren't for those starters and a big smile from the friendly hostess, I would have left one star. read more

I ordered the Faja Burrito and my wife had the Chimichangas. I enjoyed my burrito and thought the meat was well seasoned. My wife said her chimichangas were ok but she preferred a different Mexican restaurant in the areas better. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night at 6pm but the service didn't show that. They were quick and very friendly. They also had music playing in the background but it wasn't loud like at some other restaurants. In this town they have 3 Mexican restaurants at the time of writing this review. I believe they are all about the same when it comes to food quality. So give this place a shot. read more

This Mexican restaurant in Buffalo although not the best food ever scores off the carts in service. The female server I had today was incredible. On the spot on everything. What really put her over the top was her interaction with an elderly customer at the table near me. He wanted a sugar free margarita and she came out a few minutes later and advised she did not feel the margarita had enough flavor but offered him some to try. She asked if she could put sone OJ to spice it up but he declined. He tried it and was happy with it. For her to not serve what she felt was inferior product is telling. The food was decent. The standard Mexican fare. read more

Picked up order to go and was missing half of my order. Called and didn't seem to care. I will not be ordering from there again.

There is a reason our family has been coming here for years - the staff is so friendly and welcoming and the food is always fast and delicious! They have recently made some changes to their menu and the quesabirria tacos are outstanding. On Sundays they have half price daiquiris in any flavor you would like- we meet up and order the pitchers to share with the table. Such a great deal!! Rancho Grande has great lunch specials and combos, something for everyone! Absolutely worth a visit if you are in the area :) read more

I hate to be this person... but this was probably the most bland Mexican food we have had. Taco meat had no color or flavor, tamale barely had any meat in it (and the meat was questionable). The only thing we had that was good was the salsa. read more

A nice experience during my first visit to Rancho Grande. A pleasant welcome along with attentive service provided by a very polite server (Cesar). My Taco Fajita salad (see photo) arrived quickly, very hot and was a decent size. Flavor was good and the salad contained a good amount of steak. The restaurant is nicely decorated, pretty clean and features a good number of TVs tuned to a variety of sports. This early Saturday afternoon saw a good number of guests who enjoyed everything available in the spacious bar area. Overall, a spot I'd visit again when in Buffalo. I hope other YELPERS give this independent operation a try. read more

Rancho Grande - Nice Fajita Taco salad served promptly! Give it a try. - Mexican Near Me - Buffalo, Minnesota

They always have delicious food and drinks along with wonderful service. They're always willing to let me customize my order, are friendly and quick to bring order, refresh beverages and chips. This is one of my favorite restaurants! read more

Went there with a group of 9 or 10, we had great service. I ordered a tortilla soup which turned out to be the best I ever had. Would happy go back monthly. read more

Nice place to get regular Mexican food. Owners are very kind and thoughtful. Huge margaritas available. Usually fast service and they have space for larger groups. read more

Been driving by this place for 20 years thinking it was a dive. Not the case, this is very authentic and some of the best try Mexican I have had in a decade. Great ambiance and kind staff. The menu is huge as is the value. My wife and I had the Fajitas for two and it was wonderful. Certainly going back. read more

Been here a few times and it is decent, good chips & salsa, attentive service. Food was hot, fairly good sized portions, fresh & hot! Dining room could be a little cleaner, ceiling vents were kind of grimy and dusty. Have a decent lunch special with good options. I had lunch special #9, chicken burrito, enchilada & beans, added a hard shell beef taco! Nice experience... read more

Always delish and the service is so fast! We have never had a bad meal! I love their enchilada's

Awesome lunch! Enchilada Poblano and Chile Rellano were excellent, as was the service. Will definitely be back!

Had lunch today (Saturday) and I'm giving it 3-stars because of the good service I had. Everyone was polite and attentive but the food was bland. I wasn't expecting authentic cuisine, main flavor came from the hot sauce I applied. read more

I grew up a few hours north of Mexico and a few minutes west of New Mexico in Arizona. I moved up here about 6 years ago. I'm pretty adept at cooking Sonoran Mexican cuisine but have a hard time finding ingredients PLUS many authentic, homemade dishes are time consuming to make properly. I've missed just stopping at a local Mexican food restaurant and getting the real deal. I'm so very glad I stopped at Rancho. Very, very good! You know you're off to a good start when the frijoles are not canned but made properly!! If a joint can't do that then you know it won't get better. Highly recommend this spot. A taste of home for me . Plus great service! Thanks Rancho Grande will be back! read more

Did a takeout order and was excited to try the food and I got 3 chicken tacos thinking it was a staple at this restaurant and it was far from. Taco soft shells were sauggyer than my socks after hockey practice.. Chicken wasn't even cooked and I got sick from the food that next day. Never will I give this place another dime of my money.. read more

Service was quick and friendly, and the food was fantastic. The shrimp was very fresh.

Rancho Grande is a solid Mexican restaurant. The combination of a friendly, attentive staff and great, authentic Mexican food make it a winner. Their margaritas are good, but not amazing. Make sure you at least do the Texas level, not the basic. My favorite item is the Burritos Mexicanos, get one with chicken and one with beef. read more

Mexican in the middle of America. We are a diverse place. And not everyone wishes to live in NYC or LA I guess. All the employes I saw or interacted with here were is Mexican, or anyway of South American origin. As a result the food was really quite good. Thee stars, it was fine, hit the spot, but servings were a little too large and the service was a little on the "hey- can you get me xxx" side and not coming around to help. It was not busy enough for that, but i will say, it wa busy for a Sunday. I'd eat here again if in the area. But I'd also be willing to try a different place. read more

Ugh...just nope. I have given this place 3 chances and they have struck out. Poor food and sickness.

Food was good but the place is definitely haunted saw a ghost and than the lights started flickering

Local Favorite. Love the staff and the food. There is something to eat for everyone with a big menu and also carte. I don't drink but the wife gets the margaritas and loves them. read more

I can't believe some of the other reviews. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but my meal was probably the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. The High Point was the chips and ice tea. How can you screw up a burrito with rice and beans? They know because they did it. Everything was bland and tasted like it came out of a can. The beans were so runny they looked like baby food. I was just passing through town, so luckily I'll never have to pass this place when I'm hungry again. read more

I have now been to this restraunt (about) 10 times. Each time I tried something different. Each time I was genuinely surprised on how delicious each dish is. My service was spectacular every time. Even when they were busy. I will not hesitate to return again and again. One of the best places in Buffalo for Mexican food. read more

Nothing too exciting here. Came here on a Sunday evening and there was only 1 other table seated. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it literally tasted like a cherry slushy from a gas station. Our food cane extremely fast which makes me question if it was just frozen food tossed in the fryer or what. Food was pretty bland, nothing too exciting or memorable. You do get large portions for the price. read more

Good service, good chimichanga, salsa was lame and beer selection was even more lame. Pretty good but nothing exceptional... read more

This is Based on our first time here, on a Tuesday at 6:30. It was steady busy and they may have been understaffed. The service was super nice, but not attentive. We waited a bit to be greeted at the table and ran dry on drinks. The food came out quickly but wasn't a standout in flavor. read more

I wasn't expecting a lot from this place (off the highway kind of in the middle of nowhere) but I was pleasantly surprised! We stopped in on our way up to the family lake cabin for some margs and tacos. Drinks were delicious, generous & tasty food portions, and a nice casual atmosphere. read more

Excellent service and amazing authentic Mexican food and drinks. Highly recommend trying!

Large menu and generous portions. Nothing fancy, but great food. Convenient location.

My favorite Mexican place in Buffalo, and we have 3!! Best frozen Margaritas by far! Rancho Grande is a bit like the old TV show Cheers...the always remember you from your last visit!! My go to place for Mexican food!!! read more

I am giving a 2-star review cause my father who I went to this restaurant with, ate all his food and seemed to like it. Though he would eat bark... My meal was bland and unsatisfactory. The lettuce was wet, the chicken had no flavor at all beyond the burnt parts. My waiter was aware of this when he asked if I wanted a box after I stopped eating shortly after getting the food. I told him it was bad and had no flavor. I declined anything else. When the bill came they tried to charge me for the food I did not eat. I spoke to the manager about not being charged for the food I sent back. They spoke only in Spanish as if Because I am white I don't understand Spanish. They were wrong, I understood everything they were saying. When you start speaking English to me and then change to Spanish to communicate behind the customers back but in their face. I find that very disrespectful. I'll never go back. read more

Went their for the first time for a birthday party Sunday, all ordered Fajita's chicken and steak, service excellent, received great chips and salsa for snacks, food showed up sizzling on the plate, with two more plates for toppings per person, portions generous, taste and temp perfect. It's a must go, especially Sundays when Vikings are losing :( !! read more

Very nice place to eat. We were nervous as we approached and the parking lot was full. We are not from around here and randomly chose this place to eat. We got in and seen that the restaurant was packed, thought we were going to have a waiting time. They let us right in!! As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with chips and Salsa. Wasn't long after that before the joyful waitress came to take our order. Being that the restaurant was full, we assumed that the kitchen would be backed up. Wong again, we had a very short wait time and our dinner was served. I would love to come back and visit when i'm in this area again. read more
