Beef taco
Zoe C.

I've been here twice and both times, I've been gravely disappointed in the quality of the food. First time I order chicken enchiladas that had dry chicken and bland flavor. The second time tipped the scale. I ordered a tamale that was decent, and three beef tacos that were absolutely awful (see pictures). There was a heaping amount of lettuce and cheese (and not good kind of cheese). The meat was soaking and not in it own juices, but what looked like water-- as if they boiled the ground beef or left it in some hot water under a light. It was mushy and bland! I couldn't finish the tacos, I was so disgusted. However, killer chips and salsa-- the only saving grace of my night. We also order the queso which was also pretty darn good. If it weren't for those starters and a big smile from the friendly hostess, I would have left one star.

This Mexican restaurant in Buffalo although not the best food ever scores off the carts in service. The female server I had today was incredible. On the spot on everything. What really put her over the top was her interaction with an elderly customer at the table near me. He wanted a sugar free margarita and she came out a few minutes later and advised she did not feel the margarita had enough flavor but offered him some to try. She asked if she could put sone OJ to spice it up but he declined. He tried it and was happy with it. For her to not serve what she felt was inferior product is telling. The food was decent. The standard Mexican fare.

Once again, my family and I can't get enough of Rancho Grande! Their half of daiquiris on Sunday deal gets me every time! The service is absolutely always immaculate and the vibe is great. So lucky to have this delicious Mexican restaurant right here in our little town!

Nice Fajita Taco salad served promptly! Give it a try.

A nice experience during my first visit to Rancho Grande. A pleasant welcome along with attentive service provided by a very polite server (Cesar). My Taco Fajita salad (see photo) arrived quickly, very hot and was a decent size. Flavor was good and the salad contained a good amount of steak. The restaurant is nicely decorated, pretty clean and features a good number of TVs tuned to a variety of sports. This early Saturday afternoon saw a good number of guests who enjoyed everything available in the spacious bar area. Overall, a spot I'd visit again when in Buffalo. I hope other YELPERS give this independent operation a try.

The food is great, I usually head for the fajita chicken and steak or the chimichangas.

This is a Mexican restaurant that if my father were still alive I would be proud to take him to…read more The portions are generous, the beers even more so, and they actually have food other than the generic tacos (mind you, I ordered those out of a craving), but I was pleasantly surprised that they had menudo on their menu. The staff, too, is actually Mexican. I had a very nice conversation with the waitress about our roots and all. Anyway, let's talk food and drinks here. We began with drinks, all of us choosing beer and/or margaritas. Let me tell you that if you get beer on draft like I did that the glass is huge. ¡Están sí son chelas! Translation: These yes are beers! Drinks aside, they bring you complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa actually has a nice flavor, maybe even a hint of a kick to it. Despite this, we started with chips and guacamole and what a hearty portion. Guacamole was fresh and filling. For our main dishes, a cheese enchilada was had, as well as carne asada. The last two of us (including myself in this boat given prior comment) ordered tacos. Carne asada tacos specifically. Everything was legitimately delish. Very happy we wound up at El Huichol, which I later learned is an indigenous group of people from Mexico. Go figure... my Chicano self needs to get more educated on stuff as clearly I don't know much, haha.

Honestly never would have stumbled across this place if it wasn't for the fact that the buffalo DMV…read morehad been moved here and Google was incorrect, not to mention the driving evaluator told me they have some amazing margaritas - and they weren't wrong! Along with having one of their slushy machine margaritas while waiting for my son to take his driving test, I had their chips and salsa and was able to sample their spicy and their avocado Verde salsa - both were amazing! After my son passed his driver's test we celebrated with more chips + salsa and a chicken and asada taco each. The waitress (who lived in Apple Valley and we chatted about being from Rosemount) told me they made their corn tortillas in house, and they were definitely the best I've ever tried: soft like a flower tortilla but still the rich flavor of corn. I'm not a cilantro fan but it was just perfectly diced and their red onions on top along with the salsa verde were absolutely heavenly. Certainly an unexpected stop to a lovely establishment with great service, and if travels ever take me back to Buffalo I'll definitely stop back by!

If you like Mexican food - this is the best! If you are within a half hour (or heck, even further)…read moreof Delano it's worth the drive over. It's tucked away in an unassuming building, but don't let that question your decision! Spice level is the name of El Molcajete's game. The salsa that comes to the table even has a little kick. I ate an entire bowl and basket of chips by myself it was so good! Everyone that has been here (aka the entire town of Delano) raves about Jerry's Special Burrito (named after the owner). I was close to ordering it - but of course - I got the enchiladas. If you know me or read my reviews, I'm a creature of habit. I went with the tricolor to try every sauce (Mole, Tomatillo, and the Cheese Sauce that they are known for). I'm not a big Mole guy, but it was still tasty. Second favorite was Tomatillo (delicious). But WOW was the cheese sauce bomb. WHEN I go back, I'm getting all three that with the cheese. They do every dish by spice level. 5-10. I love spice and went with a 7... I'm not sure I'd go to a 10. My server called a 5 jalapeno level, a 7 habanero level, and a 10 ghost pepper level. Service was great. Food was better. I'd eat here TOO MUCH if I had the chance. Simply put - I'd take this over every Mexican place I've tried, and I seek out Mexican places frequently. Trust me. Try it and suffer being disappointed that it is only in Delano and you'll be putting many more miles on your vehicle to return.

Very good food and service. We were seated right away and the margaritas were the best.read more
