But I went there today with some family and was hoping to find a Mexican restaurant that's comfortable for eating on the property. It's a really small space, I think there were 4 to 6 tables, and somehow I didn't get that from looking at the yelp reviews. For the food alone, the place is at least worth 4 stars. The Guacamole here is better than at many, many places... freshly made, has enough salt, cilantro... I'm a guac snob, and I liked this. The chips are a typical fried tortilla, and they were good. 3 of us had Quesadillas, one with mushrooms, one with beef, and the other with shrimp. We all liked them. One of us got a burrito, which was pretty hefty, and they liked what they got. Same person got a slice of Tres Leches and a slice of cheesecake and loved them. Service was fine. The place is on a corner with plenty of street parking around (on a Saturday afternoon). It's not much to look at but I would return with a smaller group.

But I look at the price online and it should of been around 28 or 30 BUT 50 IS INSANE. I used to come here all the time but after that never again. If you do come here I would HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CALCULATE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING FROM HERE!!

Although the al pastor is not cut fresh off the spit, it was still moist and crisp. They put slices of radish and cilantro on top. Chorizo is hard to mess up but with the cilantro and onions, it was perfect! But what really makes their tacos special are the corn tortillas. They must dip them in the meat drippings and then throw them on the grill because they are extra delicious. Their sauces are excellent too. Warning, it's just a food cart and there's no place to sit.

As a longtime resident and foodie of the world's borough, I can tell you that Tacos 3 Hermanos will NOT disappoint and will leave your taste buds completely satisfied. I've passed by this food truck almost daily during my commute to work on the busy Jamaica ave and finally decided to stop by today for some grub. I usually get tacos from a taco truck (duh) but settled for a torta de bistec today and boy oh boy was it worth it. The bread was fluffy and crisp, toppings were fresh, and the steak was packed full of flavor. They have a selection of additional sauces to choose from if you so desire, verde, rojo, and some chilis. And what better drink to wash down this mouth-watering meal than a Jarritos of course. If you're in the mood for some good tasting, decently priced Mexican street food, then look nowhere else and check out Tacos 3 Hermanos, you will not regret it!

I'm a big fan of Don Tequila, I've been a few times and I'm never disappointed!…read more Nowadays $14 drinks are pretty standard for the Forest Hills area, but the cocktails here are strong and tasty and worth the price. My favorites are the Tiki Colada, which is sweet with a red wine float, and the El Picosito, which is smoky and delicious. The margaritas and mojitos are cheaper and come in a few different flavors - these are also $7 during happy hour. The food is better than you'd expect for a bar. My absolute favorite is the grilled octopus appetizer, which is perfectly cooked every time. They have the classic Mexican staples (tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas), and the fish tacos and steak enchiladas are my favorite. The mango salmon and conchinita pibil are also great if you want something a little special. The tortilla soup with chicken is also way underrated, it's hearty, smoky, and perfectly seasoned - I've ordered this to go several times when I was home sick. Prices are pretty standard for Forest Hills, and the happy hour deals are a great value if you want the basics a little cheaper. The space itself is pretty big, and it accommodates large parties or smaller groups. The decor is cute, and there are several TVs always showing different games. As several other reviewers have mentioned, it does get pretty loud in here, especially when they have DJs there on the weekends. It's a matter of preference for sure, so to avoid it I usually go during the week or earlier on the weekends (as in I try to be out by 7pm on Friday-Sunday). This is perfect for me, as the regular playlist is pretty good and I usually catch the happy hour deals. The service is friendly and quick, especially the waitress with the short bob. HOWEVER - sometimes they add an 18% automatic gratuity and sometimes they don't. I've noticed that they typically add it if you're sitting at the bar or during busier times, but I'm not sure if there's a clear rule on this. I get it - they work hard here and the servers don't want to get stiffed by folks who have had a few drinks. It's clearly stated on the receipt, so it's not like they're trying to hide the charges. Either way, make sure that you double check the first receipt that they give you when they bring the check, since the final receipt (the standard one where you sign and tip) isn't itemized. Don Tequila is a reliable neighborhood spot, with great food and drinks. There are ways around most of the things that other reviewers have complained about. I'm happy to have them nearby, and I'll be back soon!

This review is strictly about the tacos, since that's all I ordered. I got the three street tacos and chose fried crispy shrimp, crispy fish, and grilled shrimp, and all three were amazing. They were very flavorful, super fresh, and prepared in a very timely fashion. My first time picking up my order, everyone was really nice and the experience was smooth. I did go back another time and had a slightly off experience where I had to wait, and I'm not sure if there was some kind of language barrier because the people there couldn't really communicate with me. They did go and get the person who was supposed to be at the register to give people their orders, which I appreciated, but after standing there for about five minutes no one acknowledged us or apologized and just asked for my name and handed over the food. It wasn't a major issue, just something that stood out. I can't comment on the rest of the food since I didn't try it, but I did have the Yucca fries and they were great, with a good portion size if you're ordering something else. Overall, based on the tacos alone, I'm really glad I finally gave this place a try and I'll definitely be back for more.
