They're always a solid choice for tacos around here. Whether it's breakfast tacos which are realllyyyyy goood, or lunch/dinner. The service can be a bit slow, it just depends on how busy it is. I try not to go when they first open and when it's lunch time. It's a casual spot so no dressing up necessary. My go to is normally: The Jeffries (appetizer fried goodness) with a side of Queso 5/5 The Migas breakfast taco 5/5 Bacon Egg & Cheese Empanada 5/5 OG Breakfast taco 5/5 Carne Picado 5/5 Camaron 4/5 Polo Al Carbon 4/5 Barbaco 3/5 Guacamole & Chips 5/5 Queso 4/5

The tacos were really good, solid 4 stars. The service was terrible, we sat at the bar, bartender was a real hard C. She refused to acknowledge us. We were about to walk out after 5" but an off duty employee, also sitting at the bar, told the bartender we needed some service. The bartender tossed some menus at us without a word. Then came back and slapped some water down and walked away. Had to ask for a rag to wipe the bar where we sat, she rolled her eyes at us and wet a paper towel to wipe part of the counter, then handed it to us to finish the job. We again contemplated going elsewhere but she came back and took our order so we stuck around. Hoping the bartender was just having a bad day.

Remembered that I liked this place. Decided to get an Oaxacan Old Fashioned. Asked the bartender to make it mezcal forward. Came out fantastic! Tacos were just OK. Lots of food. Chicharones came out cold and the bartender immediately sent them back. Music was loud for a restaurant mid day.

I've been to this restaurant a number of times at this specific location. I've always ordered to go. I must say that I've tried just about everything on the menu. My favorite is the taco Bomba and the Arriba tacos stand out neither of them are really spicy, but the amount of meat is very impressive. The beef and the chicken. I've also had the chips and salsa, which is excellent and I've also had their wings. The wings are truly amazing. I must also say that that the go packaging and specifically the new to go bags are the best in the takeout business for any restaurant!!!! The restrooms are always clean and they also have a number of sauces to put on the tacos mild medium and hot. The seating area is neat and organized. The bar area is spacious for seating. They always do a very heavy business in takeout orders and specifically with the delivery services. The time to get your food is lengthy although I guess it's a good sign because they are very popular and everyone else is happy with the food as well.

I had heard good things about Taco Bamba. This past Saturday, we decided to give them a try. Before going, we looked at their menu online, which was a good thing to do as their menu is large. When we arrived there, we knew what we were going to order. There is a counter at one end of the place (on the right as you enter) for ordering food. The woman working there was very nice and took the time to repeat our order back to us before we paid. To pick up your order, go to the other end of the counter. They will call out your number on your receipt when it is ready. When we went, it wasn't very busy. Many place their orders before coming here. Some, like us, order when we arrive. We ordered 1 "migas taco" which is a "breakfast taco". It consists of: "soft, cheesy, scrambled eggs, chips, crema, pico de gallo". Also, we got 1 "chorizo taco" which comes with Mexican pork sausage plus a corn tortilla, onion and cilantro. Finally, we got "Bambas wings" and shared an order which consists of" 1/2 dozen crispy grilled wings (for our sauce on the wings we chose chili garlic butter), served with poblano sauce." To drink, we shared a bottle of water. As for the ambiance---Someone said in their review that this place is located in the old Chuckie E Cheese spot. That's incorrect. It's located at the corner of the row of stores/restaurants where Hama Sushi is. Plus, it's next door to Giant. The place is cavernous. Loud music plays in the background making for a noisy environment. It's not the place to sit and have a conversation. For that, there is outdoor seating. As for the food---I ate the migas taco and it was okay. I didn't see any chips in it. Nor did I see any crema. It was decent and the pico de gallo added some nice flavor to it. My husband said his taco was...well...kind of meh. The chorizo was in small pieces which kept falling out of the taco. The Bamba wings were our favorite item. The wings were meaty, moist and flavorful. The chili garlic butter tasted more of chili with barely a hint of garlic. They were served hot and well spiced without being overbearing. This wasn't an expensive meal. It cost $22.26 before the tip. One thing to take note of----each Taco Bamba has a different menu. Some tacos that are available at one location, may not be available at another location. If you look online for the menu, be sure to click on the menu for the location you're planning to try.

Taco bamba continues to impress me with their flavors. Not only is each taco packed with the necssary flavors to round out a good taco but the combinations are creative. It really is a celebration of bold, inventive flavors that push the boundaries of what a taco can be. I would recommend it as a "safe" spot where ppl can chill for happy hour and more. The music can be a little loud but only adds to the festive mood.

Good tacos. Nice ambiance. Be ready to spend around 20-25$ per person including beverages. Definitely recommend.

And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!

This time, it was extremely spicy to the point that it was inedible. Please consider adding a note or warning for super spicy dishes so customers know what to expect before ordering. For many of my friends, when we visit this area, Crooked Run is now a destination because of the tacos (as well as the beer). I do find them delicious and nicely spiced. For me, their price is slightly below average among places I visit, so I find them to be a good deal, especially since they come in slightly larger tortillas - and double layered at that. Their lamb tacos - now 2 styles - are incredibly popular among my group, but I've never had a bad taco there. But the tacos are very messy. Perhaps they have a little too much - even double layered, some of the tacos fall apart as I eat them. Also their method of delivery is a little inconsistent. Two of us ordered two tacos each at the same time. One got his on a tray, I got mine in a little cardboard holder. Maybe they have a limited number of trays? No matter, it's not how they're presented, it's how they taste. And for that, I say "Si Senor!"

They were made in about 7 minutes and were all very good tacos with the super Ramon being my favorite. I loved the cheese flour tortilla and the carne asada/chorizo combo. It was very savory and all meshed quite well together. The other tacos were also quite good. For $6 ea they were on the more expensive side but did fill me up. Overall a solid spot to get tacos that I would gladly come back to. Food(50%): 8.3 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 7.3/10
