The best taco's in the area!! I have been here a couple of times since it opened. The chorizo taco was so flavorful and the corn tortillas were perfectly prepared. On my second visit I had the barrio taco. The taco was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The consume was so good and all the flavors come together for the perfect bite. When you eat in you get yummy fresh prepped chips with a green salsa and some other salsa's. This is the best new place in the area and our new go to for the best taco's!!! read more

When my wife and i came here we were skeptical, just like anyone would be going to a new restaurant and at least for me as a Mexican I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob (hey its my culture food lol). All my concerns left once I had there complementary chips which are homemade, they were not typical chips at all. I was right, there food from there tacos to there Quesabirria tacos, were wow!! The flavor is on point, I grew up in Pilsen and I've been in the suburbs 9 years now. This food gave flashbacks of the food from my old neighborhood and not the way it is now but I got that 20+ years ago old neighborhood flavor. Always a 5-Star experience here with my usual! So I decided to order the TACOS DINNER--DINNER SPECIAL (3 tacos in which I chose the Lengua or "Beef Tongue" as the meat--for all my friends who dis or say that tongue is gross, or just refuse to try it! Whatever! That's their loss! But it is the tenderest part of the cow!). And it was simply Fangtastic! Just days before Halloween! The Lengua "beef tongue" meat was shredded instead of just cut which made it the BEST beef tongue I have ever had! The refried beans and rice were excellent! I tried their homemade Tamarindo fruit drink (they press the juice from the seed pods of the fruit tree)! It's light, refreshing and reminded me of a non-alcoholic Sangria! Very interesting! And because I ate the meal in the restaurant, I got the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole for FREE! They warned me ahead of time that the green hot sauce was warm to the touch because they had just made a new batch and it that it hadn't even been put in the fridge yet! But it was Fangtastic because it was SUPER FRESH! (I always favor the green hot sauce over the red). So as a connoisseur of fine Mexican dining! I maintain everything that I have stated in my first review of TACO AZTECA 3 months ago! In short that TACO AZTECA IS THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN THE WESTERN SUBURBS!!!!!!!! And just as a matter of comparison! I have tried EVERY Mexican restaurant in the next town over, La Grange and often paid over twice as much! And for what? Better Ambiance? A fancier table? While that may hold some marginal value! I eat for the food first! And it's because of the authenticity and freshness of the food that TACO AZTECA is hands down my personal favorite Mexican Restaurant! Period! read more

Love it, love it and love it some more. Been open for almost 2 years now and the place pumps out amazing food. Everything you would want and some others. Great for take out. They also have a few tables in there as well. Could set up to 6 per area. But again just a few and it can get busy :). Honestly I have had everything. Gorditas are amazing, tacos are great, burritos boom. Look no further call them or stop in! I'll see you there. Simple atmosphere and clean enough to eat, so always a plus! read more

Delicious food! We had menudo, steak tostada and a steak taco. They have menudo, carnitas and barbacoa on the weekends.

We did take outs. First time we ordered steak tacos and chicharron tacos & chips and guacamole. Enjoyed everything. The last time, we ordered their carnitas by the pound. It came with tortillas, limes, onions, cilantro, a red and a green sauce. I ordered beans and rice. Everything was delicious. I know we will be going back to try their other items on menu. read more

Taco Azteca is our "go to" for quality, well-seasoned Mexican food. They have consistently delivered great meals time and again. The chips are delish. The chicken fajitas provide multiple meals and the torta asada is fantastic. Highly recommend. They also encourage paying in cash if you're able, and just please be aware that if you pay with credit card there is no option to tip. So, still bring some cash. They've earned it! read more

this place is bad ! carne asada tastes like old meat , Chile relleno tacos were greasy , asada Torta was greasy they don't know how to handle the griddle they leave too much grease on everything !!! the rice no flavor n was chopped up n beans tasted like they come from a can .... like I know some places use canned beans but at least add a piece of onion or add something to take that canned taste away! And please learn how to make rice or learn not to keep it long were you keep warming it up n it gets chopped up!! hope you improve! read more

When I walked in, there was one customer at a table already eating and four people behind the counter, preparing food, walking back and forth, etc. each one looked at me yet not one of them welcomed me or said hi. Common courtesy and greetings go a long way!!! No menu on a board only on a paper menu that wasn't readily available, so when the young lady finally came over and in the quietest voice asked what I was ordering, I had to ask for a menu and she looked bothered by it. Should've just walked out then. They were out of gorditas and her answer was "just get a torta, they're basically the same thing". Terrible advice. This is now the family favorite and we won't go anywhere else. Tacos are the best around. The steak and barbacoa are phenomenal. Never any gristle or hard fat - that always ruins a taco.. The steak for tacos is cut up into these tiny and very tender little morsels. The barbacoa was the best I've ever had. It is a little pricey but willing to pay that extra for quality and not quantity. Chips are truly homemade and not store bought and thrown in a fryer - so hard to find a place that makes homemade chips. Guacamole was fresh. The taco sauces where tasty and the hot had a nice kick.
