We were passing through the area late and we were starving. We chose this spot because it said online they were open until 9 p.m. It was only 8 p.m. so we tried to make an order online as we were driving but they said they were no longer taking orders online so we had to go into order and then wait. When we arrived, we ended up having to loop around a few times because parking here is very weird. This place is attached to the library with no actual parking in front of the business so you have to park at the library or park at the hotel across the street. As I got out of the car, I noticed some unhoused people and their dog sleeping in the library parking lot and the dog started to bark. We had our dog with us and needed to let her out to walk around the front of the business with us so that was nerve-wracking. We approached the front, since it also said they were dog friendly, but by 8:15 p.m. all the patio chairs had already been put away so we stood outside the doors while my husband went in and ordered and then continued to wait for the food. We got a premium burrito with carne asada and the burrito had a sweet flavor. There was pineapple inside it and the sweetness was odd to say the least. The only thing I liked about the burrito was that they grilled the outside so it was warm and had a nice crunch but the flavors were off in my opinion so my husband got stuck with the burrito. He was fine with it and gave it three stars. He liked that it was a good size and was full from beginning to end. I ended up with the quesabirria grilled cheese. It was also disappointing. The bread was toasted but super soggy. Soggy bread it the worst and it was strange because the consume was in a seperate container but there was just too much liquid in the meat. It was sticking to my hands and falling apart. Not that I needed it, but I did try the consumme and it was much thinner and runnier than I am used to. The flavor also wasn't great and biting into the raw chopped onions in the sandwich was not appetizing to me. This was not a great experience and as hungry as we were, we did not finish the food. We ended up getting another snack when we arrived in SF later that evening. I can't speak to the tacos here but U can definitely say I don't recommend coming her late, even if they are the only place in the area that is open.

Came to Taco and Co because I had jury duty across the street. This is a fun find. Taco and co is clean and has very friendly staff. They have interesting protein options such as mushroom and cactus, which I don't commonly see at taquerias. Got the taco combo and it was a great deal. The food is fresh and yummy. I got the Al pastor and was surprised to get pineapple chunks - it's a nice touch. Also got a mushroom taco, super flavorful and a great vegetarian option. Will def come back and try more items.

Great Mexican food at fair prices. I've been meaning to drop by this place whenever I drop by the adjacent Pittsburg branch Library, and since I made a huge donation of books to said library last week I l made a point of stopping by today..and since it literally is connected by a door..well, there you are.! We both had two Super Tacos..(Al Pastor, Grilled Chicken, Birria, and Carne Asada..yummy!!!) that came with chips and refried bean dip. The menu isn't huge, but there's a good variation, and they also serve breakfast..so I'll have to make a point of coming back for that. There's also outside seating. It's right at Pittsburg Civic Center, it's quiet and easy to get to, and plenty of free parking...and did I say really good food, too? If you eat too much just go next door and browse the library.

Short version: superb, impactful food, with an amazing vibe, kind customer service, and quality in food to impress taste buds. In a few words, I can describe this place as welcoming, delicious, and sought after. If you haven't been to a Taco & Co then definitely make this your next stop shop for your next meal while you're in the area. I was greeted by a wholesome man who answered any question I had about their food, drinks, and which combos were the best. The vibe of this place was definitely welcoming and had that sense of The chips alone were what set the course to how the rest of my meal would be like. Warm, crisp, not too thin, and not overly greasy of a chip. Followed with a dip of bean and cheese (which I'm surprised not a lot of places do it) but it's those little subtle details that weave together an amazing experience. I can see why they were able to expand their business, the food speaks for itself. They handed me this green sauce, and I could not stop putting it on my food with each bite! Each taco from pollo asado, birria, to carne asada each in their own way were so flavorful and not dull. The taco didn't fall apart nor did the tortillas break, they definitely know a golden ratio to their food. Thank you again Taco & Co for an amazing experience. I definitely had a great meal and time here.

After a hike in Oakland, my friend and I were heading back toward Sacramento and were really craving tacos. We found Taco & Co. on Google Maps, saw some solid Yelp reviews, and decided to give it a try -- so glad we did. When we arrived, it wasn't busy at all, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. One thing I immediately appreciated was the number of gluten-free options. There's a great variety of tacos on corn tortillas, which was really nice to see. My friend ordered two chicken tacos, a birria taco, and a side of chips and beans. I ordered two super tacos with pastor topped with pico de gallo and pineapple, one mushroom quesotaco, and one chicken mulita. Both orders came out quickly. I was honestly surprised by how big and filling the tacos were. Corn tortillas are usually on the smaller side, but these were fresh, generous, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. The location itself is kind of tucked away in a business complex, and interestingly enough, there's a library right behind it -- a pretty cool and unexpected spot that makes for a nice lunch or dinner stop. Definitely a go-to taco spot if you're in the area. I'd absolutely come back and recommend it.

Tired of chasing taco trucks? Look no further, Taco & Co is a stable establishment that definitely has some yummy eats made with quality at a convenient price. I ordered the taco combo with rice and beans to go. The service here is great. I personally love the view of the big red anchor right outside the venue, as a hometown kid I can't but feel a sense of pride being here.

This place is amazing. Friendly, fast service and delicious food. We ordered 3 tacos (pollo asado, carne asada, el pastor) and 2 quesatacos (birria, chorizo). All of it was wonderful, but the el pastor was next level. I'm going back tonight for more. Whatever they did to it is addictive to me. As for service, they are very sweet. I ordered online and picked it up to take back to our hotel. When I got back, I noticed they forgot to add the extra guacamole and pico de gallo I ordered (for a slightly extra charge). I called them and they were super apologetic. After double checking with their chef, who kindly agreed there was an honest mistake, Israel offered to have some ready for me to pick up or to refund the extra charge. If I wasn't on a time crunch to get somewhere else, I would have gone back to get it since my hotel isn't far away, but unfortunately the timing didn't work out, so Israel promptly adjusted the charge for me. I appreciate the customer service and would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Door dashed a premium burrito and horchata, and both were not good. Burrito was too salty and soggy and horchata tasted watered down

I love this place, but this visit absolutely sealed the deal all over again…read more We ordered the carne asada super burrito and it was perfection. It was packed with flavorful, juicy meat and had the ideal ratio of beans, rice, and cheese -- every bite was balanced and satisfying. No skimpy filling here. Just a beautifully built burrito done right. The chips and guacamole were just as impressive. The chips came out hot, thin, and perfectly fresh -- that light crisp that shatters just right. The guacamole tasted bright and fresh, clearly made with care and real ingredients. We also tried the pastor torta, and wow. It was loaded with tender, well-seasoned meat, and the bread was soft, fresh, and toasted perfectly. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- exactly how a torta should be. Every component worked together so well. And the piña agua fresca? Super fresh and refreshing -- the perfect complement to everything we ordered. We come here often, but this time we switched it up and tried the burrito -- and it did not disappoint. This is easily one of the best taquerias in town. Consistently delicious, generous portions, and clearly made with pride. We'll definitely be back (soon!) to try the quesabirria. So grateful to have a spot like this in town.

I stopped by around closing time 3:30pm. The truck is located inside a lot so there is plenty of parking available, service was great. I picked up 2 super burritos $12 each (azada with extra sour cream) that is an additional $1 per burrito. I also order 3 handmade tortilla tacos $.50 additional per taco (azada, chicken, and pastor). I also order 3 drinks (horchata), the order came with a small bag of chips and salsa (I wish it was a bag per food item or meal ordered). My bill came up to $46; I should say that I was excited about the tacos 1 because of the price and 2 because I like to try food trucks and support small businesses. Once I got home, we found out that one of the super burritos had no sour cream at all; that was disappointing ( I didn't try the burritos since I am gluten free, but I was told it was ok as far as flavor). The tacos were for me and I think they were alright, the steak and al pastor meat didn't have much flavor in comparison to other tacos I had, plus the meat was on the dry side. On the other hand the chicken taco was surprisingly good, that was grilled yet it was juice- the marination of the chicken was good in my opinion. I always feel like you can't go wrong with a horchata, but it seems like we got the bottom of it, the drink was so grainy that we had to drain it. So I don't know if I will give it another try- seems like the quality of food was not there maybe because it was the end of the day since closing time is 4pm; but regardless of this (beginning or end) the food quality should be consistent- at least that's a dealbreaker for me.
