He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Best friend hosted her son's birthday party at this venue…read more As a parent I was excited to no only attend but also preview a space I was considering for my own children's upcoming parties. To say the experience was not enjoyable would be an understatement. The owner was extremely rude and condescending. She truly did not seem to be there and seemed completely "tuned out". The party was hosted by a family whose primary language was not English and it appeared the owner was frustrated by this fact as additional effort was required to ensure children understood what was being said. Parents helped translate but again, this was a detail that should of been addressed at time of booking. The food, cream cheese and turkey sandwiches, appeared to have been prepared on site and not brought in from an outside catering company. They lacked an esthetic appeal and looked like they were quickly put together. Cupcakes again looked home made and tasted very dry. The high standard projected through the website was simply not evident. Food was extremely elementary and downright insulting for the price paid. Chips were put into a small bowl not frequently replenished so each child had to dig their hands, sick or not, into the same platter. I've been to a number of parties in venues like this one and the overall appeal is much much higher. The owners are aware of their customer base, clearly not happening here. A big turn off is the fact that small children, under 3, are not welcome here. The rooms are not adequately child proof and pose a safety hazard!!!! Electrical cords are exposed, outlets not secured, etc... so leave your younger children at home otherwise the owner will make a number of rude comments.I happen to be on the receiving end of this commentary and assure you it was not welcome or pleasant. They should be aware that most parents have more than one child or a guest may bring a sibling of an attending child. That should not bother anyone! They are after all a children's party business! Lastly, while there was one individual in character, the owners daughter, and looked very presentable a male wearing a tiger hat was also present. If he was supposed to pass as a tiger the owner failed in that respect. He wore jeans and a black shirt, a tiger hat and not a drop of face paint(that would of at least looked like he tried). He did partake in entertaining the children but again it would of made a huge difference if he was in fact in character. I'm being completely honest in saying I would not return here, although I had high hopes for this particular place. The decor is adorable, but the foundation of a solid business with a plan that makes customers feel their efforts and money was well spent is missing. Would not recommend.....
