Guests were absolutely beyond happy, complimenting the taste and quality of food from start to end, beginning with past out appetizers by Carol (who was so sweet) to the spectacular main courses and side dishes which were so fresh, brilliantly tasteful, presented with beauty and fresh ingredients to the phenomenal desserts, I never thought such a caterer existed. The chef was brilliant, kind and supportive. I cannot recommend them enough and well worth the cost. I just can't recommend them enough! Thank you David Ellis events! When referring my friends and relatives to their business, I always comment that their service , food and attention to every little detail, have always far exceeded my expectations. I am not a big fan of salt, but learned that they don't use much in their food - they are masters at using spices to enhance the flavor of all their dishes. During Covid when restaurants were shut down, they started a weekly delivery service that was really awesome with a full array of choices from "soup to nuts"! I was married on 10/7/2023 and Details Made Simple (Carla) made sure it was the most beautiful, and least anxiety provoking day. I had previously booked a Day Of Coordinator in March 2023. This DOC promised me the world and more for my October 2023 wedding. We'll fast forward to August 2023 meeting with my venue, I was alone and freaking out. My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla) Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas's number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary. After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as "No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event". With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history. Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!! We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. I received updated timelines in my email on the regular, she contacted any vendors with whatever tasks were still not done, to her absolutely loving on my 3 year old niece on my wedding day, Carla was like having an extremely organized "family"member take charge and make sure myself, my husband and my bridal party had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. I can not speak highly enough about DMS services, professionalism and overall delivery of event planning. Carla, I am forever grateful to you! P.S. Carla was not available for my rehearsal at the church, but we had her team member Shadé. Also AMAZING. We were not an easy group and she got EVERYONE in place and running our ceremony as it was supposed to be. Thank you Shadé for being there for us!

    We used this company for a high school graduation party at the end of June. We booked the rental…read moreweeks in advance. We originally ordered a tent with 4 round tables, 4 round table cloths, and 40 chairs. We agreed on delivery for Saturday between 8 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Our party began at 4:00 p.m., so we didn't see any type of urgency. Delivery arrived at approximately 1:45 p.m....45 minutes late from the latest possible time. I must say the two employees who showed up to set up the equipment were complete gentlemen and hard workers. I could sense their frustration that they were tired and overworked. We were their last stop of the day. Our order ended up being 4 rectangular tables with 4 round table cloths. Think about that for a second...it didn't work. Since we were the last stop of the day for the workers, everything we had ordered was gone from the truck. The workers busted their butt and safely and securely put up the tent. We were told they would come back on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. to pick up the equipment. They came back on Monday at 2:00 pm. Same gentlemen who installed took it away. I give 5 stars to the workers but 2 stars for the overall experience.

They do not honor their business hours which are clearly posted on their storefront. My husband tried to return 20 chairs on a Monday before 5pm (their posted closing time) and they had closed early. An agreement was then made to come back that Thursday but they were unwilling to stay till 5pm although this situation wasn't our fault since they closed early on Monday. Monique instructed me that if they stayed 20 extra minutes, we would have to pay her employee's salary for the 20 mins she stayed! Where have you heard such a thing? Is it even legal? We just wanted to give these chairs back but we were being charged for employee salaries and were even threatened with attorney proceedings. Yes, attorney proceedings from a chair rental store. It's a shame because we like to support local businesses but this was such a distasteful experience. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. If you are a working family, please avoid!! They are only there half of the time they claim on their storefront business hours. And if you don't abide by their short schedules, you will get sued!

He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Really, what a great experience. My husband had a really great time. Thank you Mark and company!

They delivered the fabulous balloon arrangements right on time (a couple of hours before the party) and the delivery person was very helpful and friendly! Almost everyone at the party told me how much they loved the balloons. A great experience from start to finish!
