Take a look at the attached pictures and judge for yourself. Finally, they failed to set everything up on time despite having advance notice, so we had to delay the entire wedding for around 45 minutes to an hour for them to finish setting up. If you want your wedding ruined, pick these guys. If you want your wedding to go well, pick someone else. Afterward, they were completely unrepentant and unapologetic about it. When my mom left a negative review, they threatened legal action if she didn't take it down. Well, I'm not scared of their threats. If you guys want to sue me, reach out and I'll give you my address so you can effect service of process. I would *love* to litigate the accuracy of this. EDIT: the owner has responded claiming that this review is not true, but the pictures speak for themselves. She is lying. Imagine what else she is lying about. The owner doesn't even know me - we've never interacted and she's never heard my name. Message me if you would like more information. Do yourself a favor - read through her reviews. Many of them are positive, but quite a few are negative - I'm not the only one saying this. Finally, look how often she calls people liars, unstable, immoral, etc. when they complain about her. Ask yourself this: do you want to be the one she's one day calling an unstable, immoral liar on here after she screws up your own wedding? This is how she talks about the people who complain when she drops the ball and ruins a wedding. Maybe one day it'll be how she talks about you. Rachel, if you're reading this: if I'm really slandering you, then sue me. I will give you my address so you can file the lawsuit and serve me with process. But you're not going to do that, because you don't actually want these allegations adjudicated in court, because you know that they're true and you would lose.

I found Mirage Photography after extensive research. Although there aren't tons of reviews online…read more(i.e. on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Yelp), the reviews I did see were all very positive. I had a consultation with Jarot, who showed me some of his work, which was very well done. Additionally, Mirage offered a great price, which was slightly lower than my budget. I signed a contract with Mirage and was very confident with my choice. Things went downhill from there. 1. I continued to receive daily emails pitching Mirage's services, even though I had already signed a contract. Even though I contacted Mirage several times about this, the emails kept coming, even after I had paid in full. This was annoying and made me nervous that they didn't have me marked down as an official client or something. 2. Getting in touch with anyone at Mirage is nearly impossible. They do not answer their phone, and they are not quick to call back when you leave a message, if they call you back at all. 3. You may recall from 3 paragraphs ago that I signed a contract naming Jarot as my photographer. Imagine my surprise when, the day before my wedding, I get a call from someone named Jimmy from Mirage who says he is my photographer and wants to finalize details. I told Jimmy my photographer was Jarot. He had no clue what I was talking about and told me that Jorge had assigned him to my wedding months earlier. If Jarot was no longer available, why was I never made aware? Again, I have tried contacting Mirage about this, to no avail. 4. Jimmy arrived the next day. He didn't take as many photos as I would have liked. Several times I noticed that he seemed to be just watching the wedding/reception/first dance happening and wasn't taking photos of key moments. Thank goodness for guests and camera phones. Some of the poses he asked me to do were just weird or awkward. Anytime we did a kissing photo he would make inappropriate comments like "give me a real dirty one". The pictures he did take came out fine enough I suppose. 5. The straw that broke the camel's back and led to this review. I just logged in to my photo website, where my photos were meant to be available for 3 months per my contract. My photo gallery expired as of August 23, though my wedding was in June. I left a message on their answering machine (surprise) but doubt this will be easily resolved. I wish I hadn't chosen Mirage and that I had spent more for a more professional vendor. These are the only "professional" photos I will ever have of my wedding day and I'm so disappointed.

My DOC (not Carla) bailed on me for the venue meet, and made me feel like I was panicking for no reason with a timeline that will be formulated week before wedding. (Again not Carla) Thanks to my maid of honor coming through with an amazing recommendation, I was given Carlas's number after feeling defeated and upset with my previous DOC not supporting me or showing up for me when necessary. After 2 hour conversation with myself and my mom, I immediately felt at ease with Carla. My concerns were validated as "No way should a timeline be started 1 week before event". With many tears had during our initial conversation, that night I slept the best I had in all my wedding planning with Carla coming to my rescue and the rest is history. Details Made Simple is just that, Details Made Simple. From hiring (DMS) that August evening to my wedding on October 7, 2023, I was in The best hands Possible!!! We had a few phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and the month leading up to the wedding, myself and Carla were in contact regularly. She never hesitated to answer and email, a text or a phone call. She was extremely helpful and responsive every single step of the way. Without her, I don't think I would have gotten everything together. I did not do a package, instead I rented a wedding dress, a mandarin qipao, hired a make up artist, MC, and DJ through Paris; and when our old decorator pulled out at the last minute, Ula eased the stress with a new recommendation 1 month away. 1. Dress selection is limited, and it did cost more than I expected to rent, but I don't regret not needing to have to store a giant dress in my tiny Manhattan apartment. The seamstress was very nice to work with, though I think she only speaks Chinese. 2. Make up artist was Crystal! She was so great. She traveled all the way up to Morningside Heights with her giant suitcase and did a phenomenal job. My schedule is difficult and Ula was able to work with me to secure a make up trial with Crystal a couple months before the wedding. It was extremely helpful to have a make up trial beforehand, so I do recommend it, even if it costs more. 3. JJ was my MC and I had a couple of guests come up to me to tell me how great she was going in between English and Mandarin. My friends speaks english but family members do not, so hiring JJ was such a win. She called us a month before and planned out an itinerary, which we ended up not following the day of, but she was able to play it by ear and made the night very fun. 4. DJ was James Vincent, who knew how to work the crowd. Lots of dancing, which was what we wanted. So overall, it was a great experience having a one- stop shop for all of our extra-venue vendors. I did not use their photographer/videographers since I had a recommendation from a friend (I wanted to be able to work with the same photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding day-- so that they get to know you). Highly recommend.

There were other makeup artists that day for the bridesmaids and they weren't as good. They can also help you fix your bridesmaid's dress if it's a little too long or too loose the day of the wedding (just minor adjustments). Make sure you have enough time and communicate the changes you'll need in advance!
