We had a great time, walked away with a ton of knowledge and ate a ton of our own homemade pizza creations! The class was compromised of all couples and one father/son duo - 8 pairs in total which was the perfect intimate class size. Shah was the main instructor who led the class - he was great - made everyone comfortable and explained things in ways we could all understand. The other 2 employees were super helpful and they all pitched in to make class run smoothly. The first two hours of the class we learned how to make the dough - each pair made enough dough for 4 pies. We also learned how to make a simple pizza sauce, tasted different types of cheese, and sampled a few pies we watched him make as he demonstrated the techniques. The second half of class we made our own pies. They had so many different toppings to choose from, and you could even make dessert pies! It was a lot of fun coming up with our own flavor combinations. Shaping the dough was a lot easier than expected after learning the techniques. We got full quickly so they had boxes to take home leftovers. We had a lot of fun! The 4 hours went by quicker than expected. They have alcohol and wine for purchase and free ice water. Tip: Make sure to eat something for breakfast since you don't actually start eating anything until more than halfway through the class. Definitely give this place a shot! Fun idea for birthday parties or other special occasions.

The venue is small, it would be ideal for a large group of friends but we just made new friends for the afternoon. Shah led the class & with Ricky and Eduardo's help we were stuffed by the end of it. Keep in mind though that you don't actually start sampling any slices until midway through the event. They do have wine and beers available for purchase with a complimentary ice water station to keep you hydrated. Shah was entertaining in his presentation, which kept the afternoon moving at a nice pace. Would highly recommend over and over again.

Tried out the San Francisco Mission food tour with two of my colleagues on a Saturday morning…read more There were also five other people on the tour along with our guide. We ended up eating at five locations with a break in between. The meeting point - Mission Playground: felt kind of in the middle of nowhere since we weren't actually informed of the places we were eating at beforehand. Still fairly convenient as it was about four blocks from the nearest BART station. Our guide briefed us about a little history of the Mission and encouraged us to take photos of the tour; the best photographer would get a sixth bonus tasting. Stop 1 - Craftsman and Wolves: a very busy place so there was no seating for our group, but we ended up at one of those nearby hipster parklets. We were each given a Rebel Within: a savory muffin with a soft boiled egg inside and Tabasco salt on the side. Very tasty and hearty enough to almost fill up some people. Stop 2 - Ali Baba's Cave: it was a fairly hot and sunny day, but before going inside the restaurant we got a lecture about the history of falafel while standing in the heat; very informative, but it could have waited until the group was seated. I've been to Ali Baba's before and knew the food was good, but had never tried the falafel sandwich. We ended up getting three of them, which we split into thirds. The sandwich as a whole was very fresh and savory, but the sauces and eggplant ended up masking much of the falafel's flavor. What really made this stop nice was lots of seating, allowing the group to introduce each other and get to know each other. Stop 3 - Taqueria Cancun: also a fairly packed place, but we were able to bus two tables as a few other groups left. We had a selection of three tacos: beef tongue, al pastor, or super veggie. It was also the only stop where you could buy beer separately from the tour's initial price. I picked a beef taco and declined drinking. Relatively mild and satisfactory taco, which actually worked well as a palette cleanser after the very robust falafel. Like the previous stop, this place stood out as it allowed the group to relax and chat while enjoying some good food. Break - The Women's Building: we got a bit of history of the building itself and what it was previously used for. The mural on the side of the building was quite exquisite, though trying to view it from top to bottom meant staring directly into the hot sun. There was also an implication that we'd actually see the interior of the building, but we headed off to more stops. Stop 4 - Pizzeria Delfina: another busy place too crowded for our group, so we waited on the sidewalk. We shared a fresh Margherita pizza. The cheese was amazing and we learned that it was made that day over in Berkeley. The staff at Delfina was giving us some strange looks as we hung out on the curb and discussed their cuisine. Stop 5 - Tartine: one of the most infamous bakeries in San Francisco, which meant there was a long line out the door. We once again waited out on the curb. We ended up trying the salted chocolate rye cookie, which was more or less a high quality brownie. A good way to wrap up the meal. We compared photos we had taken and the guide picked a winner who got free Bi-Rite ice cream around the corner. Overall a good tour with great people. I'd prefer in the future they choose more welcoming places like Ali Baba and Cancun over cramped shops with high quality food. Still, I'd highly recommend trying the tour with a few people you already know well.

This tour exceeded my expectations. It was so fun to see the staples from my childhood - my memories exploded! Elaine was our fun tour guide. She knew her history and brought us to many different alleyways and eateries. SF Chinatown is known for alleys, she'll explain. =D All eateries were different and distinguished from their own regions. My favorite stops - fortune cookie shop and Tin How Temple. What a fun experience and can't wait to recommend this tour to other visitors. Don't forget to bring cash for some fun shopping!

Went with friends for an interactive Live in Theater event... Ryan Case of 1873. Got to walk the…read morestreets of Manhattan interviewing suspects playing detective/cops. Overall a great experience for 2 hours of crime solving. There were 4 groups and we were each given a map to follow to get to each location to interview the characters and figure out who dunnit! My friends and I were on a team of 8 and were the only group to successfully solve the crime with one of my friend's giving passionate presentation of who dunnit and got an applause from everyone! Woohoo! Go green team (ha ha the detective's favorite team) ... lucky we got the guilty party!!! It was great to play good cop/bad cop... especially bad cop on the streets. When playing bad cop, folks thought there was a real argument or something going on taking pictures and bystander almost getting into it with one of the actors. However, there were a couple of improvements that can be made. 1) Give the participants a heads up that the actors we are interviewing are dressed in costume. We were grilling folks on the streets that were staring at us who swore up and down they weren't part of the act! And we were looking for non-existent clues. 2) Please make sure the actors are in their positions /location. We spent 15-20 minutes at the 1st spot and given this was the 1st time, we didn't know what or who we were looking for. It was a waste of our time and had to come back to the start point at the end to interview the character. There were 2 characters out of the 5 that were not in their positions and had to call out to us. Not fun and lost time as we had to be called back at the end... Can't spoil it for those who haven't done this ...but it is fun! We were lucky to get a discount on the tickets to make this reasonable cost. Looking forward to trying some of the other cases! Great acting and great playing bad cop!

You get separated into groups and the people you sit together at the table are your teammates. You get a leader, notepad, and pencil to record down your findings. You get to question the people located around the neighborhood. You can find interesting characters from the janitor to a man dressed in drag. Halfway into the story I was lost and didn't really know what to make of who the murderer was. I think none of the groups were able to figure out who the murderer was. It was an interesting experience however I will probably not go to one anytime soon again.

They are personable, knowledgeable, engaging and so easy to work with. The meditation was a great way to start because everyone was so relaxed before the cocktails and it's a great way to decompress. The format was organized without being too structured - there was a laid back and relaxed vibe so everyone was comfortable and felt included. We really appreciated the custom cocktails and the storytelling behind the choices - there were also options to make them your own. If I had one honest critique, I do wish there had been more opportunity to personally season some of the dishes to taste, as I felt parts of the meal were a little bland for my preference. I also personally prefer softer pasta over a firmer al dente texture. That said, I completely understood why the pasta had that texture since we didn't have much time for the dough to fully rest and develop. I also think some light Italian jazz music playing in the background would have elevated the atmosphere even more and really taken the experience to another level.
